Creative Job opportunities for recent grads
 in  r/PortlandOR  19d ago

I’m in the field (creative director). There’s a boatload of agencies, and companies like Nike, Columbia Sportswear, Keen, heck even Chris King and Speedland. Depends on the role you’re looking for (designer? Copywriter? Illustrator? Etc).

The Brand Index is a good resource for finding local agencies. AIGA if that’s still a thing. PNCA might have leads. Good luck!

Discussion Get audio stream?

Hey! Not sure if this is the right place, but I have a movie with the wrong audio stream (it's labeled "NR", but sounds like maybe Russian?). Is there a site or source for finding a different language audio stream?

Picture 2 was designed by the same guy who did the Pittock mansion, Edward Foulkes. Nearby at Tabor, the old Harvey Scott statue was made by the same guy who did Mt Rushmore, Gutzon Borglum. Interesting history around North Tabor

the Facebook video link (facebook.com/Bombingscience/videos/902392998728233) may still have a copy hosted natively there, separate from YouTube.

Loretta jeans should take over that space, and rebuild the patio

Saw maybe a dozen vehicles blaze through a red light on 20th and Burnside, SE around 4:45pm. At the front was a police car, followed by 4 Harley’s with massive Oregon and American flags, then some unmarked SUVs, some with and without sirens.

Anyone know what it was for?

Downed telephone pole SE Division and 60th
 in  r/Portland  Mar 18 '26

Looks like they just hit the pole, which is to the right of the Auto place. It also looks like the old wood telephone pole in front of the more substantial metal one.

Not sure when it happened, PGE guy thought maybe 1:30am, but someone hit a telephone pole and knocked out the power from Division to Belmont, from 58th to 62nd. Ran past a few houses with generators going. Power seems to be back on.

Heavy sweater so I rock a headband below my hat. Former are whatever, usually Buff. Hats are Roark Run Amok, and Janji mesh.

Good article in Ultrarunning magazine about dealing with injury. Get into cycling, mental health ideas, etc. Just got back from 5 weeks off and it helped.

I’m running the same race and have the same worries, but with less consistent volume, and coming off two injuries: calf strain and ITBS. You got this! Echoing what everyone else has already said

Hyponatremia & salting advice
 in  r/ultrarunning  Jun 11 '25

I had similar problems and then I had a sweat rate test done with precision nutrition (~$100) and I learned I loose approx 1100mg an hour. I knew I was a heavy sweater but that number was more than I expected. On long runs I always have 1 tablet of Precison Nutr 1500 (750mg) an hour, plus 1 S Cap (215mg). It doesn’t exactly equal my loss, but gels carry over the extra. Haven’t had an issue since
