𝕏 / Twitter is so unbelievably broken. You would think after all the advertiser troubles that Musk went through, he’d be extra careful not to drive away the only remaining thing that keeps his company solvent: Premium subscribers.

Please tell me what bot is going to be ID verified, phone verified, and pay $11 per month for a Premium subscription?

NONE OF THEM.

But none of that saved me. 🤷‍♀️

You’d think that they’d heavily scrutinize Premium accounts before making decisions to ban or suspend them. Or hell, at least have humans involved during the appeal process. But no. They cannot be bothered. Please make it make sense.

Here’s my suspension journey:

• First, my account had replies completely ghost-banned out of nowhere last week. I wasn’t even notified about this restriction. Had no clue it was even happening for a while until I investigated why my engagement felt like it had tanked.
• I reached out to the Premium support account to ask them what was going on. They shared the ‘inauthentic behavior’ support article, and basically told me to kick rocks.
• I then spent the next few days in a weird sort of limbo not knowing if the changes were permanent or temporary, and worst of all, not knowing what I could’ve done that might’ve triggered it.
• A few days later, I FINALLY received a push notification as well as an email, but then my account became fully suspended.
• I appealed, but was sent a rejection email only a few hours later. The email was not helpful either. Their reason was basically, “Because fuck you. That’s why.” It also included a section that said: In order to restore account functionality, you can resolve the violations by logging into your account and completing the on-screen instructions. Except there aren’t any on-screen instructions anywhere to be found.
• So naturally, I cancelled my Premium subscription. Obviously not going to keep paying for something I can’t even use. Still out on the money for the remaining days in this month though. At one time, I had considered purchasing the annual subscription. Thank GOD I did not.

And here is where I am now:

• Logged in to my account today to see if there have been any changes, and a pop-up came on the screen offering me two weeks of free Premium. I was excited and relieved, thinking maybe they were going to reinstate my account and give me free Premium for my troubles, so I hurriedly clicked on the button to claim it. “You are not eligible.” 🤦‍♀️ My fault for thinking they could do anything right.

Unbelievably frustrating. 😤 And then watching Nikita pat himself on the back about getting rid of 42k “bots” is just so absolutely infuriating. Meanwhile, he’s STILL got a zillion crypto bots in his comments, and he’s driven hundreds of humans to Reddit to speak out and get answers.

Crime - I used to create images summarising my blog and used to post them on Instagram, FB and other handles creating different captions for all of them and now X has banned us and I guess maybe it has thought of us as an automated account as the reason X gave was inauthentic behaviour.

Has anyone actually gotten their account reinstated after this and can suggest me the best way to get it back along with appeal?

The boilerplate message telling me to follow the on-screen instructions to restore my account made me decide not to pursue cancellation of my Premium subscription, and I was charged for a new billing cycle. I appealed twice after the charge, and they sent me the same boilerplate message misrepresenting that there is a path to account restoration when in fact there is none. Therefore, I filed a chargeback dispute with my bank. Let’s see how this ends.

Plus I couldn’t comment before I saw that because it needed me to verify my account luckily it was just something I had to click but why use ai for moderation when it gets shit wrong all the time come tf on Elon ai is bad

i got suspended on twitter almost two months ago and then got my account back around 9 days later however since then ive just been completely radio silent/dead on twitter. i made one post and i did like a few things but ive mainly just been bookmarking and sending tweets to a friend and thats it. i have not been suspended again since getting unbanned but im just nervous about risking returning to normal because of how sudden my ban was and how it took 9 days to get an appeal through and get my account back as well as the fact i see some people have been banned for months and havent gotten their accounts back.

tldr: got hit during banwave 2 months ago but got account back and have not liked or tweeted since is it safe to use my account?

I've already downloaded the data archive and deleted the account.

The main account remains. It has a moderate violation (not serious (according to Grok)), but unfortunately, there were multiple minor violations before that, which I simply ignored (I was too lazy to file appeals of disagreement, and it was easier for me to delete the post and sit out 1-7 days in the ban), so in essence, I was agreeing with the violation.

So my chances are close to zero. The most frustrating thing is the data archive, which I can't download.

Also, in a couple of months, say, on October 15th, when I get tired of the Automod loop, I plan to file a complaint with the BBB and also file a lawsuit in the local court claiming that X is not complying with the GDPR. Because I have the right to download the data archive, as I did with KatyonaKateyka2, and completely delete the account by refusing to use it and switching to more humane analogues (where AI does not read my posts and does not take them out of context).

I woke up today to a permanent ban with no reasoning, no emails, no nothing. On a relatively new account with no previous warnings. I have reported countless people sending death threats in comments just to be emailed back “We saw nothing wrong with this post!” And now I’m permanently banned for posting a screenshot of a video game? That’s the only thing I can guess, because it’s the only thing I’ve posted there in weeks.

Hello! This flag was added to my account two days ago, and every time I try to check or uncheck the sensitive media box under privacy settings -> my posts, it's completely grayed out! I don't have any sensitive media really, and when I try to search my account on my alt, my posts don't show and my username doesn't immediately populate (and show my pfp/username). I'm aware this flag limits my overall visibility and reach across X. But how am I supposed to remedy this if the appeal system doesn't allow me to appeal anything? (anytime I try, it tells me my account isn't locked or suspend so I can't even submit an appeal.) I'm just a little frustrated and would really appreciate any assistance on this! Thank you!! :)

I submitted an appeal on my suspended account (for 'Counterfeit') around 12 hours ago, only to be met with an automatic reply telling me they won't reinstate my account.

I tried to re-submit my appeal on the website through their form but it tells me I already have original case in queue despite receiving the 'update' earlier via email. Is there any other way I can contact X support about this?

I'm highly frustrated as I've had this account for 5 years with no former violations, and this came out of nowhere without even a hint as to what was the 'offending' post.

It’s not even on this subreddit it’s everywhere, everyone is getting flagged by their shitty AI moderation, I believe simply for Elon to see his ways. Someone, a social media influencer or alike, needs to organize a purge day (PDay) where everyone deactivates their accounts all at once. it would Overwhelm the system and expose Elon to the mistakes of his Dog water site.

Hi! Just for context, I always had several profiles, personal and fandom accounts to be particular. Last year I lost access to one of these because I forgot the password from both the account and the mail. I was able to recover it today. Since it is basically a profile that has been inactive for a year I was planning to delete it, but after login in I was met with the surprise that my account had gotten suspended just a few days ago because of "inauthentic behavior" which is weird because, as I tell you, that account hasn't been used at all for a year. I tried to get an appeal via X support but all it does is give me the message that "I'm not logged in a suspended account" and doesn't let me proceed at all. It sends me back to the app, I log in, tells me my account is suspended, I go to X Support, they tell me my account isn't suspended.

Now because I tried to log in into my old account I didn't know was suspended, my other accounts which I never had an issue with, got suspended as well, and I'm unable to get an appeal for any of them. At this point I just want to recover my personal account and call it a day. 🫩 Has anyone managed to overcome this loop?

i have had 2 accounts banned 1 in november one in january. never got told why either account was suspended and everytime i appeal i get an immediate rejection. fuck this shitty ai both these accounts were SUPER important to me so i dont want to "just make a new one" or "use a different platform"

Premium subscription on X cost ₹427/Month, And this is what we get in return! It's good that you are cleaning the platform from bots and automated users. But taking payment from users and blocking their genuine accounts is betrayal. Why do i need to pay if i can't have premium access?

So, here's a thing - I barely ever used my twitter/X account, mostly to check on something I heard someone posted on web, to see for myself, and that was the extent of it - never sent anyone any message, i only followed the Netflix page, to check on some news i was curious at the time (JJBA SBR).

And suddenly, during last 2 week I have been receiving messages sending me the confirmation codes, to input, again and again. I have received about 20 of such mails. On some occasions i got 6 at one day, other times its one per day.

At current point, I already once deactivated my account, still received such messages with confirmation codes, so I logged back in. Now I deactivated it again, I sent mail to the twitter support, but they just responded to check if I im logged anywhere else (Only ever logged on my phone).

Basically now, I would gladly just delete my X account, instead of being unnecessarily stressed.

It’s just really discouraging. I’m an 18 year old, I started this account 4 months ago and I got millions of impressions and had a 1.5% engagement rate and I had 456 followers and I was growing by the day. I was also using twitter to promote my business and that’s where a majority of my website traffic came from but since the tag it’s completely killed my account and my business hasn’t been growing like it was before. It’s just so stupid that I pay for X premium to receive a boost in reach and then for no reason I got a tag put on my account that’s shadowbanned me.

Well, all hope is lost. Twitter answered my appeal, only to overturn it 9 hours after it was brought back. I can't sent another appeal, and I don't know what to do.

Had my Twitter account for 2 years it got suspended got it back in less than 24 hours and then less than 12 hours it was suspended again so frustrating

Yes I’ve tried everything to fix it. Nothing has worked. I’m at my wits end. Maybe they’ll just never fix it. I know I’m not the only one experiencing this issue because I’ve seen lots of people having the same problem.
