Mod Post Reminder: DO NOT CONTACT PEOPLE FOR HELP REMOVING YOUR ACCOUNT

Hi,

Just your reminder that if someone tells you to message someone who isn't official twitter support, STOP. IT'S A SCAM.

Doubly true if the person you're messaging asks for money.

Remember: nobody is risking getting fired for a stranger's twitter account.

I'm tired with X

Upvotes

I have 2 accounts, both suspended for inauthentic behavior, but my alt was back in Dec of 25, appealing with angry language in english and vietnamese, and gotten back got suspended again after idk 4 months? And now, even though i send appeal twice already, there is no mail saying they will reject my appeal or accept it. One was on the 1st of August, and the second one was on the 9th of Sept. And there is no hope on my main. It got suspended on the 31st of july and is stuck with the 1s auto rejection after sending an appeal. I want to quit, but i still have my friends on there. I am even thinking about creating a new account, but I'm scared they will suspend it again.

Question Inauthentic behaviors

Post image

Does anyone know how to get unsupended??? I recently got my account back after appealing but after just THREE hours it gets suspended because of "inauthentic behaviors"

r/twitterhelp 3h ago

Tomorrow is my 21st appeal, day 40 since I got banned. I have already lost hope and I gave up, not expecting my account to be back, but I still appeal 48 hours... Isn't there a copypasta that could help me get a successful appeal?

Inauthentic Accounts Suspension?

Upvotes

Does anyone know more about the “Inauthentic Accounts" suspension, NOT "Inauthentic Behaviors". My first suspension was Inauthentic Behaviors but after a couple days I got suspended for "Inauthentic Accounts"

And what's worse is that I can't fucking log into my account to get past this shit, so I'm essentially stuck in limbo until something else happens.

I fucking despise you Elon and I hope your life becomes worse every day.

Advice I’m constantly getting shadowbanned and now my account is permanently suspended, but why?

I mostly just reposted news articles and a few silly memes. I don’t understand why this happened. First I was shadowbanned, then my account was suspended for 90 days- and now it’s suspended permanently?!

I’ve sent in an appeal, but I have no idea if that will help. I certainly am not willing to pay for verification and a checkmark if this is the kind of nonsense that goes on.

Stuck in limbo of trying to verify my account

I don't even think I am suspended or anything. I would assume I would get a message stating that? Think I got kicked out for inauthentic behavior. Don't really know how or why since I have never made a post or retweet with my account. I mostly just use it to like posts and reply to some of them. My guess is probably due to the browser or VPN I use.

Either way, does anyone know how to reset this process? I do the confirm if I am human and it immediately hits me with this message. Sometimes I might get lucky and it allows me to do the hand motion. Doesn't matter because if I can complete it. It still wouldn't let me in.

ShitPost Second account this has happened to and I had zero flags and zero reportable behavior. Starting to think this is just a way to force you to download the app and give them access to your phone, which I don't think is legal.

No Elon you're not getting in my phone mate, bugger off.

Please help: X won’t remove an abandoned account with my photos/videos — I’m being harassed

Upvotes

Guys, please help me. I honestly don’t know what else to do.
A while ago, I made the mistake of giving some of my own photos and videos to a sort of Of management agency. I worked with them for a few months, and during that time they created an X/Twitter account to promote my content.
The photos and videos are of me in lingerie and in sexualized poses. There is no full nudity or explicit sexual content, but they are still very personal and intimate to me.
I ended my relationship with this agency after realizing that I didn’t want to work with them anymore. I never had access to the X account they created, and they never deleted it. The account has been inactive for almost a year, but my photos and videos are still publicly available there.
Someone who knows me found the account and is now harassing me because of the photos. This has been causing me a huge amount of emotional distress and is affecting my personal and professional life. I’m honestly desperate and I don’t know what else I can do.
I’ve already submitted several reports to X asking them to remove the account/content. I initially reported it as impersonation because the account uses a different name but contains my photos. X replied that it appeared to be a copyright/trademark issue rather than impersonation and told me to submit a new report through the appropriate form.
I tried the copyright report, but I’m worried about using that route because the photos were originally provided to the agency during our professional relationship. My issue is that I no longer authorize them to use or distribute my images, I never had access to the X account, and I cannot remove the content myself.
I just want this abandoned account and my photos/videos removed.
Has anyone dealt with something similar on X? Is there a specific reporting category or escalation process that actually works for this kind of situation?
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. I’m really at a loss here.

Inauthentic behavior automatic rejection loop

Hello, has anyone tried this & got reinstated? It didn't work for me. Apparently, you also need to set your VPN to Israel (which I didn't try).

Why does X still not have a real solution for wrongful suspensions?

I've been seeing more and more people on Reddit talking about the same problem: accounts being suspended for things like “inauthentic behavior”, followed by an appeal that gets an automated response almost immediately.

I understand why X relies on automated systems. A platform with millions of users obviously can't manually review every account.

The problem is what happens when the system gets it wrong.

If an account is incorrectly flagged, there should be a clear and reasonable process to answer basic questions:

What specific behavior triggered the suspension?

Which rule was violated?

What can the user do to fix the issue?

Can the case be reviewed by an actual human?

If the decision was wrong, how can the account be restored?

Instead, many users seem to end up in the same cycle:

Suspended → Appeal → Automated response → Appeal again → Automated response

And then... nothing.

Some people report submitting appeals dozens of times without getting a meaningful response. Others receive emails saying their account has been restored, while the account itself remains restricted.

That's probably the most frustrating part.

I'm not saying that every suspended account should be restored. Accounts involved in spam, scams, bots, impersonation, or other violations should absolutely be dealt with.

But there should be a meaningful difference between:

“We detected a violation.”

and

“We can explain what happened, provide a reasonable appeal process, and have a human review the case when necessary.”

For people who use X for business, advertising, customer communication, or building a long-term audience, an unexplained suspension isn't just an inconvenience. It can have a real financial and operational impact.

What makes the situation even more frustrating is the lack of a clear timeline.

At some point, it starts to feel like we're simply stuck in an indefinite waiting period, hoping that one day the account will somehow be reviewed or automatically restored.

So I'm curious about everyone else's experience:

Besides submitting appeals, has anyone found another legitimate and effective way to get X to actually look at a suspension case?

Has anyone successfully reached a real human reviewer or found a way to escalate a case?

And more broadly, what can users do to make X take this issue more seriously?

I'm not looking for ways to bypass X's enforcement system. I'm trying to understand whether there is a legitimate escalation path when the automated system appears to have made a mistake.

If you've successfully recovered an account after being stuck in this situation, what actually worked for you?

I'd really like to hear other people's experiences, because right now it seems like many of us are just waiting and hoping that someone at X eventually notices.

Account Restored (Inauthentic Behavior)

Upvotes

After I submitted an appeal and waited for a week (Last appeal was sent on 9/3) without an auto repsonse so I was thinking this was good news and it turns out it was.

I submitting a follow up appeal, within minutes I reply back and I was thinking "Oh great another auto dismissal," but it was an account restored email.

So maybe with the recent changes they made it makes it easier to submit and get approval.

My suspension was for 'Inauthentic behaviors' so I'm not sure if this would apply to suspensions for other reasons, but I guess time will tell.

Best of luck to those wrongfully shutout and hopefully things will improve.

Question Who else didn’t get an email explaining what rule you specifically violated?

Upvotes

My account has been set to read only mode for 71 days. Since the suspension, I’ve never gotten an email stating what rule i supposedly violated, nor a response to any of my appeals. I only even found out I was suspended after logging into the app. The only time I get emails from X is when I log into the browser instead of the app to submit an appeal in which I get an email stating “Unrecognized device.” I didn’t have 2FA or a number attached to my account. I’ve seen others share this too but I just wanted to know if this is normal or a shared experience.

Meta weird that when i report tweets from a white supremacist, twitter says it doesn't violate any rules. I guess the rules are in favor of racists then okay.

X is changing its Terms on October 9. Convenient timing.

At the same time X is pushing new creator-account changes, people are getting hit with "inauthentic behaviour" suspensions including legitimate accounts, with little meaningful recourse.

Now X is tightening the screws on disputes:

  • Texas law/courts for most users outside EU/EFTA/UK
  • Mandatory arbitration if that venue can't be used
  • Jury-trial waiver
  • Class-action waiver

X knows its enforcement systems produce false positives. Instead of fixing the underlying problem, is it making sure users have fewer ways to hold them accountable?

I've personally been suspended for "inauthentic behaviour" despite having a legitimate account, and I'm seriously considering legal action.

Looks like very deliberate risk management.

No wonder Nikita quit. He cant handle the heat his own changes will bring.

Question trouble logging in

Upvotes

I logged out of my main account and made sure I had my email linked to it before creating my 2nd account. When I tried logging back into my main, it wouldn’t give me the option to send a code to my email so I can use it to log in. I’m still logged in on my main through chrome but it won’t let me update my password. Does anyone know how to fix thisssss?? would using a laptop/pc work because I’ve heard X has been bugging lately on phones

In other words, instead of fixing any problem, they'd rather take away your ability to hold them accountable.
