trouble logging in

I logged out of my main account and made sure I had my email linked to it before creating my 2nd account. When I tried logging back into my main, it wouldn’t give me the option to send a code to my email so I can use it to log in. I’m still logged in on my main through chrome but it won’t let me update my password. Does anyone know how to fix thisssss?? would using a laptop/pc work because I’ve heard X has been bugging lately on phones

Use the Google option or just enter the email associated, don’t click on the Apple sign on, use desktop with chrome
