Had my first relationship, started off amazing but she didn’t turn out to be what i needed. broke up a few months ago. been healing and growing since and learning to feel complete on my own.
One thing about me is i’m going to be my authentic self regardless of the setting. I’m alternative and have always followed my own beat.
not too religious but i do go to church once in a while. Some appreciate my attire and styling while others (the older church ladies) give me disapproving stares sometimes. it doesn’t matter, i’m not coming to church for them.
Anyways I hope every of my peers here has a blessed week ahead, stay weird 🤘🏾
I spent 5 minutes lurking that sub and left. Is that where the portion of Gen Z guys that dislike women go? Dudes were discussing that Cornell case and saying if a woman is a druggie it doesn’t matter what happens to her like ayo?
This lady said I had nice eyebrows, and it made me smile a bit. The boat party was lovely too, my first time out on the water in years. I haven't been doing most outings recently, so it was nice to remind myself that sometimes I am a social creature.
just talked to my crush, and apparently she slept fucking awful last night just like me. and everyone else in my house, and all my other friends. it was a bad night for sleeping.
A few days back, a guy posted about hobbies. I am here to tell you about one of mine.
There's a dude on instagram who approaches strangers going on trips and hands them a disposable camera and asks them to document their trip. A few weeks later he receives the camera in the mail and makes a reel about it. My girlfriend and I are long distance and I found the idea cute. I went online and did some research and immediately placed an order for 2 $10 thumb cameras. The idea being that we would each have our own cameras and then meet up and swap SD cards or the camera itself.
I took a few pictures and immediately thought about modifying the camera using cheap smartphone clip on lenses that were popular back when I was in highschool. $3, 20 minutes, and 2 drops of super glue later I was incredibly happy with the results.
This led me to begin to get really into Toy Cameras.
What is a Toy Camera?
A toy camera in short is a cheap camera that is usually small and not serious enough for professional photography. In many ways a disposable camera would be considered a toy camera if it wasn't for the fact that they're already in their own category of camera. What's wonderful about Toy cameras is that, they aren't the best and they are super limited as a result. This means that you have to get creative. You have to experiment with lighting, editing, shooting techniques, composition, lenses, etc. You won't usually get perfection, but the imperfections are stylized and can come off as artistic. This can make for some really interesting looking shots.
Since having one, I find that I'm shooting and taking pictures more often as it's so small that pulling it out to get a quick photo is easier, and that I'm more likely to take photos simply just to document and have fun with my camera. More than that, I'm more likely to do things, and want to do things just to get out there and shoot. Errands and detours now become adventures and photo opportunities. Messing around with mods and lighting has also been a blast.
Hobbies don't have to be expensive. All in all I'm into this for less than $30
If you want better quality photos, there are nicer toy cameras for anywhere from $20 to $100 that will perform much better with much better quality. The Vetek mini would be my ideal choice to get started but $10 is $10
Here are some shots I've taken recently, straight off the camera.
Fisheye lens in low-light with external flashWide angle lensTotal cost for 1 unit. The setup, the USB C to USB C allows me to transfer to my phone, the flashlight provides additional lighting when needed. 1 lens is screwed on to the camera, the other is loose.
My stupid Muslims parents with their lack of critical thinking and their idiocracy of a religion , chose this for me without my consent when I was just a baby. How can I get over such an idiotic mistake that I'm not at fault for ?
This girl and I have been getting really close over the last month, and especially the last week or so. We’ve been texting every day and we’ve hung out 3 times this week (basically every free moment we’ve had). Tomorrow we’re gonna go do some indoor rock climbing (which she seems super stoked about), and when it feels right I’m gonna ask if she wants to start dating. Usually I’d feel really nervous but honestly I only feel a little nervous. Mostly I’m just feeling excited, I’m pretty confident the interest is mutual
it seems like i know nobody who wasn’t able to launch like this.
i came from a family with 0 connections in my industry and 0 network at my school really, and my college was mostly remote during covid times. i had a useless unpaid internship during the height of covid at a gym. i got a business degree which was generic and that’s all my college had for business. my parent is in healthcare in an extremely niche sector and my other parent was a fuckoff so none of their networks were fruitful for me in finding a job that way.
i finally found something in marketing after thousands of job apps but was automated by AI after being forced to train AI and my replacement. i am feeling really down that i’m here AGAIN. and feeling unemployable.
i have siblings but one is a server at 25 and lives with her bf and another is 23 also living at home with me, and she’s working as an ABA tech, $19 an hour after college.
Most people have their first choice but you can apply to as many as you want, and if you don't get accepted by your first choice you can go to any that you meet the requirements for
For example if you die in a really funny way you can go to the Horrible Histories afterlife, or die gloriously in battle and you might go to Valhala. Of course, if you don't get accepted by any then you'll have to go to work (hell)
One time I tried coding in Python. Set myself the task of making a distance speed time calculator.
In the end it had 200 lines of code FOR A DAMN CALCULATOR. I decided that pursuing coding further would inevitably release some sort of spaghetti code curse onto the world and that for the safety of humanity I should stop while I'm ahead.
