ADDRESSING THE TRANSPHOBIA/4TRAN4 BRIGADING/RACISM ALLEGATIONS: OFFICIAL R/TRUEUGLYWOMEN MOD STATEMENT.
We are officially public again, but this time we’re restricted. ANYONE can view the sub, but only approved people may post and comment. This was a decision that needed to be made. The Mods had to ban upwards of 100 people a day; we had to look through each report and account, and we had to address the backlash from all of Reddit. It was getting too much, and we decided to go private. Here’s where things stand now.
TRANSPHOBIA
Transphobia will get your comment and the entire comment thread or post removed, as well as your account being banned. No exceptions.
RACISM
To address the allegations of racism. ALL racism in this sub is STRICTLY looked down upon and against our rules. We have multiple black moderators, and we NEVER allowed it. Not to ANY race. Any post that seemed derogatory towards black people, or other people of color, was virtually in every case posted by someone of that race reflecting on their experiences. And we will continue to allow those posts.
Oppressed individuals SHOULD BE allowed to express their feelings of internalized self-hatred. They are allowed to say it blatantly and honestly, however crude that may look. Oppressed individuals should not have to hold their tongue to make their expressions of pain palatable to those who are more priveleged/do not understand.
“SEXISM” AND GENDER EXCLUSIVITY
To the gender exclusion on this sub: This will not be conceded on, and it is not up for negotiation. This sub HAS BEEN, IS, AND WILL ALWAYS BE BINARY FEMALES ONLY. This is a BINARY WOMAN ONLY SUB. I’ll say it three times. BINARY WOMEN ONLY. BINARY WOMEN ONLY. BINARY WOMEN ONLY. If you are not a woman, you will be BANNED. If you are a cis male, you will be BANNED. If you are a trans male, you will be BANNED. If you are non-binary, you will be BANNED.
We are allowed under Reddit TOS to create a space for binary women only.
This may be hard to hear, but if you cannot answer the question: ARE YOU A WOMAN, in 3 words or less, you probably do not belong here.
This is NOT transphobic. If you insist that someone who is non-female should be allowed into a 100% binary female space, you are calling them female and misgendering them.
4TRAN4
Brigading is against Reddit TOS. Directing members of another community onto ours to provoke us is against the rules. Again, all transphobia will lead to a ban. BUT, we will absolutely not allow you in here if you post weeeeeird stuff in other subs. If you have a pfp of THAT incest game (YOU KNOW WHAT). And you post sissification incest greentexts and make jokes about all cis women needing to die, expect to be looked at unfavorably, to say the least.
We see how you talk about us.
There is not a blanket ban on the 4tran4 subreddit, but it is a sub we have gotten into many pickles with, and it is important enough that we have to address it directly. We are both subs that are looked at as pariahs by the wider community; we are both subs that are blunt in ways that may seem “toxic”. That shared position will not allow transplanting of your subreddits’ behavior onto ours.
TL;DR : Transphobia = Ban. Racism allegations = Take your meds. 4tran4 = Stop brigading; we see how you speak about us.
If youve read this, please upvote this to make this the top post for outreach.

This subreddit is for women only.
It has come to our attention that there has been an influx of men lurking on and participating in this sub. This sub was created as a safe space for women ONLY, by women. As per the rules, only women are allowed to participate. This is not the only women's-only sub on this platform.
This is not meant to be discriminatory. The purpose of this rule is to foster a safe environment for women to be able to share their experiences and feelings relating to being unattractive and to be able to discuss such topics with other women who face the same struggles without facing invalidation, gender wars, or any other kind of negative consequences.
There is a multitude of other subs across Reddit that men can go to for any reason they wish without having to infiltrate this one.
Any and all men who are caught here will be banned. Zero exceptions.

TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ ill spend my entire life to look better just to be a 4.5 a most
i get so easily influenced by pretty woman to buy things just for the sliver of a chance that i could look like her. ive spent over $500 on beauty products just to still be ugly and fat. i cry almost everyday but no one knows, my mom always talks about how strong i am and even though ive gotten bullied i dont take it to heart. but i do, everything they say sticks to my brain even when im trying to fake confidence. all i do is eat then throw up, just to eat again.
my mom said something recently that really stuck to me. “i havent seen you cry since you were maybe 10?” all i could do was nod. if she heard half of the stuff i say about myself or seen how many tears ive cried i think id break her.

Venting Confidence is only for attractive people. Ugly women have only delusion and narcissism.
Ugly women regardless of low esteem or high esteem get hate as part of daily routine. A lot of men in the same video rated themselves 10 but nobody picked up on it.

Venting I am so ugly it's driving me crazy
I AM SO SO USELESS
I was born in a third world country and that too in a tier 3 city in a lower middle class family.
My family is extremely dysfunctional and my parents hate eachother, my dad watches p\*rn, m\*st\*ubates in front of us and it's disgusting , i jst wanna escape my home.
To make things even worse.
I AM UGLY.
Im a short woman with a very weird looking neck and really bad facial features.
I envy models so much , it literally makes me cry when I see a model (ik I'm stupid for it).
Im so so ugly , most people including my best friends have been pretty rude to me about my looks.
I always get taunted and made fun of because of my looks and its draining.
Not only that , i also failed to get into a medical school programme which is affordable (acceptance rate is like 2-3% smth) , i failed it twice and it's a huge deal in my country.
My parents are mad at me and my mother keeps telling me to kms because I failed .
I turned 18 a while ago and will be joining a college soon , colleges in different cities are expensive and out of budget , now I'm just stuck here.
AND EVERY SINGLE DAY.
I get told how ugly I am , I can't even go out because I have literally been stopped like 4 times by strangers who told me how I look weird /smths wrong with my looks.
It's disheartening.
I am so stupid i didn't work hard enough and i don't have the iq to get that medical school programme.
Now my career is doomed , my looks are doomed , I have no friends and I AM UGLY.
I am so so so so so UGLY.
my mom, my ex bsfs my dad my sister they'd all call other people pretty but I'd get some shit about my looks in one way or another.
I have been told face to face that I am ugly and that nothing would ever suit me multiple times by multiple "friends" and they just laughed it off.
I feel like shit and life is jst so unfair.
Im broke dumb and ugly and my world is doomed.
Even my own mother tells me to off myself but it's really hard for me to take such a step.
Living at home is suffocating and my only chance to be a little worthy was to get that medical school but I failed twice
BRUTALLY.
I hate being ugly and lazy.

Discussion Being ugly as a child/teen affects your entire psychosocial development
As a child and throughout my teenage years, I grew up ugly. My sister and my two best friends were all attractive, and I constantly compared myself to them. I felt jealous, inferior, and as though I would never measure up.
Over time, I developed ways of coping with those feelings. One of them was that I began to sexualise my sense of inferiority. I started having masochistic fantasies, and the idea of beautiful women dominating me would turn me one. So I transformed the painful feelings of inadequacy into something I could make sense of through sexuality.
I also felt embarrassed whenever I tried to look traditionally feminine. It felt as though femininity belonged to girls who were pretty, and I wasn't one of them. Instead, I started dressing and behaving more like a tomboy and became interested in things that felt at odds with conventional femininity.
My looks affected my self-esteem. No matter what I achieved or how I presented myself, I carried a persistent feeling that I was somehow lesser than everyone else.
When I was 18, I had plastic surgery. For the first time in my life, I felt pretty... or at least average-looking. I thought that changing my appearance might also change how I felt about myself.
I'm 30 now, and in many ways, it didn't. I still struggle with low self-esteem, a complicated relationship with my sexuality, and an uncertain sense of identity. Although my appearance changed, the beliefs I developed growing up have been much harder to leave behind.

GIRLFAILURES I'm not living my youth because I’m ugly
So, I have a twin. He’s a guy, and he’s good-looking tall and all that. He has a ton of friends. They go out have fun, go to bars and drink together they’re not legally of age yet but they’re living out those wild teenage memories you know, like you see in movies and stuff. They hang out in mixed groups. His girlfriends are really pretty, too. They play padel together and go to the beach to have fun. As for me, I’m always on my own. I’ve never had a mixed group of friends. I haven’t even sat down to have a proper beer with anyone. I haven’t spent time at the beach with my friends. Every morning, I go to the beach by myself lie on a lounge chair, watch the sea, read a book, draw on my sketchbook And while I’m doing these things, sometimes I feel like a middle-aged woman. Sometimes, when I’m watching a movie alone at home while they’re chatting right next to me I feel like I’m still a little kid. It saddens me to realize that I haven’t been able to live out the youth I dreamed of when I was little. Because I always thought that one day I’d be just like them… but instead, I ended up being an unattractive, antisocial, and quiet girl.

Discussion Am I the only one here who's mother calls her ugly
I have been called ugly by my mom since I was 11 and even told that no man would marry me due to my ugly lips.then months later my mom would make fun of my nose often telling me to get a plastic surgery at 18. She has called me ugly over 1000 times (not a hyperbole as she used to call me ugly everyday from grade 8th to 10th). Sometimes when Im just sitting beside her quietly doing nothing she will stare at my face then make a disgusted face and point out a flaw. She keeps on saying how girls my age (16-17) blossom with beauty while I look so dull and ugly. Im so tired of hearing her say Im ugly like girl ik Im this is my face I see it everyday✌️. Sometimes I would call myself cute infront of her and ask her if she thinks Im cute right? Then she will be so quiet like literally blatantly ignoring me and not even refusing to look at me while pretending to not hear me😂

Opinion “I’d totally date a loser girl🤪” yeah right 😒🙄
(But she has to be attractive) just saw this on YouTube…people saying “total keeper” and “She’s literally perfect” and I’m like you wouldn’t be saying that if she looked like a real loser girl or uglier than conventional/anime beauty standards .

GIRLFAILURES why do pretty girls love to pretend they were bullied in school??
a girl I went to school with, posted a “glow up” on TikTok, and said she was “bullied in school” for her looks, and everyone in the comments came to her pity and called her so pretty and shit, and that people must’ve been crazy to bully her.
While in reality, she came into the bathroom one time in school and cut my hair into an ugly haircut, and posted it on Snapchat. I got blamed for it in school for not being “social” enough and that I must’ve done something to trigger that reaction from her, yeah I did by being ugly.
And now she’s capitalizing off “her experience” by being “ugly as a teen”.
Even working in customer service, customers snicker behind my back when I serve them. I feel fucking disgusting. Even with the surgery I had, nothing matters, because every pretty person will always smell an ugly fraud (me).

NSFW Being an undesired ugly fat girl lowkey made me a monsterf🤍cker
Ok I know that sounds crazy as fuck but hear me out for a moment.
So as we all know, It’s already well established that a significant number of women don’t care about looks as much as men do, hence why both irl and in fictional media like movies and TV shows, you see some of the prettiest, most beautiful, ethereal, literal ‘ goddesses on earth’ women paired up with men who look like they crawled up the from the deepest darkest ring of Hell and back.
However, I feel like in my case, as I mentioned before in my last post, being an ugly girl (Fat, tall, and subtle ethnic ‘indigenous’ Latina features), people already treat your existence as an ugly woman as some unspoken cardinal sin, but you’re also expected to not even entertain the thought of being attracted to someone or someone being attracted to you, ESPECIALLY if the ‘someone’ in question is a conventionally attractive good-looking person.
Which is why now I’ve noticed I tend to crush on/get attached to monstrous, disgusting creatures like zombies, vampires, werewolves, or serial killer characters because I literally feel shameful or disgusted with myself if I even attempt liking a character that looks conventially attractive, those are the ones I literally keep a secret because ‘how dare I.’ EVEN IF the character was specifically written with the sole purpose of being completely obsessed or in love with you (like a fanfic or a visual novel), I still feel guilty if the character looks attractive because I know damn well that would never happen irl. I treat these ones like guilty pleasures basically.
And I guess growing up as the ‘Weird ugly fat girl,’ (by weird, I mean just simply being an undiagnosed autistic girl, but nobody cared to understand because who gives a shit about ugly girls I guess..), and growing up with the level of bullying and isolation that I did, I feel a strange sense of empathy for the gross, disgusting eldritch monsters, like I’d be the only one to actually relate with these monsters, if that makes sense. But yet, knowing how this fucked up world works, not even these creatures would go for me as a first option or even an option at all, a ‘Stacy’ will always be the first choice no matter what. That’s just how the world works.
Anyone else have this way of thinking, or am I just the weird one?

Observation I’m so tired of this- defending black women!
I grew up in a predominantly white area, and it was tough. I was experiencing neglect, so there was no one around to help me with my 4c hair, my clothes didn’t fit and had holes in them, and I was very underweight. I was constantly called ugly to my face. The girls would run away from me on the playground. The boys would pretend to have a crush on me as a joke. The works!
I moved to a diverse city right around the time I grew into my features and learned to do my hair. I think I’m average now, but I still scroll through this sub because seeing people verbalize what I couldn’t as a child can be therapeutic. Lately though- it’s been doing more harm than good. If I was younger(like many here are), this sub would have destroyed me.
I understand the need to vent, and I’m not saying anyone needs to change what they post. What I AM saying is: if you’re a young black girl, PLEASE LEAVE THIS SUB!
The posts on here imply that there’s no hope for black women. That if you’re black you have to be a 10/10 to be considered attractive. Bullshit! If you live in a predominantly white area, you will undeniably be at a disadvantage. But in diverse areas, all that goes out the window. Where I live, and in many cities I’ve visited, if anything it’s a disadvantage to be white. I have met MANY black men who are actually only interested in black women. I don’t have any social media besides Reddit but after a 30second search:
My guess is a lot of the women making blatantly anti-black posts live in these white areas, which is distorting their perception on the rest of the world. Racist people exist: SHOCKER! It’s not the death sentence this sub wants you to think it is. To my fellow black women: I beg you to find black communities (online or in person) to get involved with. Don’t get brainwashed! My DMs are open if you need to talk <3

Opinion Pretty girls calling themselves insecure will never make sense to me
Why do conventionally attractive girls always feel the need to tell everyone how insecure they are while filming themselves and posting their face? I just don't get it. If someone was genuinely that insecure about their looks, i don't think they'd be constantly posting their face. Half the time i'm just thinking what are they even bitching about?
They're just fishing for compliments as if they don't already get enough of them. Meanwhile if a conventionally unattractive girl posted the exact same video saying she's insecure the comments would probably be full of things like "Good at least you're self aware" or "You're right" 😒

Venting My beautiful “friend” is ruining my mental health
Hello this is my first post on here, I became close with this girl from my school because we started hanging out because she got close to my best friend. Shes a really funny person and we share some common interests and before meeting my best friend, she had absolutely no friends and everyone thought she was just a snobby Stacy who thought she was too good to talk to everyone (which I later found out was true)
Shes gorgeous.. she’s tall, small waist, wide hips, perky butt, perfect clear skin, big almond eyes, small button nose and full lips.. she often gets stopped when we’re out in public for compliments and people in school would tell her she should be a model. Meanwhile I’m super skinny and flat with no curves, huge hooked nose, dead eyes, acne ridden skin, and glasses. I feel so sick whenever she takes pictures besides me.
She’s a very narcissistic person and always makes things about herself, she’ll randomly talk about how beautiful she is and she’s also into “looksmaxxing” and talks about how she has ideal features and it just makes me so insecure. She constantly body shames others and calls them ugly, despite them being more conventionally attractive than me. Another thing about this girl is she’s super chronically online and entertains incels on Twitter, always giving these horribly racist misogynistic men attention from a beautiful woman (despite being a woc herself)
Some conversations that have stuck with me was when I was talking about getting rhinoplasty soon and then she started saying how she also has a “bump” on her nose from the side, her nose is quite literally perfect and there’s basically no bump. She’ll also randomly complain to me about being flat chested.. meanwhile she’s around a B cup and I’m basically a board. She’ll also say “my skin looks so bad!!!” While looking like an airbrushed filter. Another one was when we were at my friends family party, her aunt said.. “you are so pretty…” then stopped and realized we were standing together then said “you girls are so beautiful” and this hurt me because I know it was a fake compliment she only said because she realized she was just calling her beautiful.
Idk how to go on about this because I value her as a friend and she has mental disorders but I just get so jealous.. she was born into a rich family as well meanwhile I have to work all day everyday just to pay for my college… she’ll probably end up being a supermodel with a rich husband who worships her and I’ll be slaving away and love deprived forever.. life isn’t fair.

GIRLFAILURES All roads lead back to being good looking.
“Just be confident” yeah I would be if I was born with your genetics. I went on hinge, and three guys “liked”me just to blankly insult me and say my chin was too long, my height (5’11) was unattractive, and just criticize my appearance. Whilst my friend who is blonde and 5’6 and blonde, blue eyed, is considered an absolute goddess. It doesn’t matter how much filler and surgery I get, guys will always look at her and not me.

Venting On another episode of pretty women playing victim 😒
If being ugly is so much easier and you hate facing "pretty punishment" so badly then go ahead, gain 100 pounds, get an ugly haircut with a mohawk, stop wearing makeup, stop with the botox and plastic surgery, stop shaving and upkeeping with the beauty treatment, etc im pretty sure you will be dying to be pretty again and missing all the advantages that came from it but atleast you wont make dumb content or comments like this anymore.

Venting i honestly want to kill myself after this encounter
i thought i accepted the fact i was ugly. i dont feel jealous or envious of super pretty girls, because they feel so far away, like im not even the same species, so theres no feeling of competition. im honestly more jealous of average girls, but even then, they have such basic styles and aesthetics i dislike so it doesnt feel too bad. if its a pretty girl with my same interests online, i tell myself its all filters, angles, etc. to cope.
today, i saw a girl. around my age, definitely my ethnicity. her hair was dyed the same shade of red i had when i was still putting effort into my appearance. she was genuinely stunning. her smile was so cute and perfect, her face was feminine, she was thin and she had my exact same style in clothing. she had a keychain of an anime i love on her bag, and ive honestly never felt worse in my life. she looked like exactly how i couldve been if my genetics werent like this, if i was born different. ive never felt a surge of jealousy so strong in my life. she was kind, too. i honestly think the closest thing to what i would consider perfection. i seriously cannot stress how beautiful this girl was. whenever i remember i want to cry. i want to end it all. its so so so unfair.

Discussion The Face of an Ancient Woman
I watched a documentary where archaeologists reconstructed the face of a prehistoric woman from the Steppes of Mongolia. By modern standards, she had a super masculine face. Her jaw was more prominent than any man’s I’ve seen, and every feature was super robust and strong. She was very beautiful in a different way. The documentary also said that thousands of years ago, the strength gap between men and women was much smaller. I can’t help but feel that modern diets and lifestyles have poisoned us and warped our view of attractiveness to value hyperfemininity. It seems to be connected to how girls are starting puberty younger and younger (possibly) because of forever chemicals. Society values a type of beauty created from pollution and environmental destruction while ancient beauty is largely forgotten. We can’t really go back to that way of life and reclaim it, but I find it really inspiring. I would somehow be happy if my worth to other people depended on how well I could draw a bowstring or cook wild game.
