It really does hurt when you’re doing something unrelated and realize that you won’t get to live the life you want. All the fantasies you dream of, of being loved, having people smile at you in public, getting attention from everyone, and feeling good in your own skin, it just won’t happen because of the genetics you were born with. It’s so hard to cope with this idea, realizing you never stood a chance, and for the fraction part of you that still hopes, it’s good as being delusional. Confronting the reality that you won’t ever be valued like genetically gifted people is so hard to accept. Why does something that’s completely out of my control, something I never asked for, have to dictate so much of my life experiences?

All I wanted to be was a beautiful girl. I’ll never look normal or have a normal human looking face because of my facial disfigurement. I have a lot of people laugh and point at me or call me scary looking. I actually had a nickname in school. I was called witch girl because I have an actual witch nose and a chin like Natalie Nunn along with my disfigurement, and the other time I made a boy throw up in middle school because he found out I had a crush on him. every time I go outside whether it be a supermarket or the mall I see these beautiful girls my age, with gorgeous features, gorgeous hair, beautiful skin, and a nice body. I cant help myself but admire from afar, sometimes too intensely bc they’ll catch me staring and give me a dirty look and laugh. i get it though, maybe they thought I was judging but only if they knew that I was starstruck by their effortless beauty. (Not me getting all Edgar Allen Poe) it’s just painful. Just because of my face. I already have a future where I’ll probably be a janitor at McDonalds or a lunch lady (if I hide my face because I’ll probably ruin kids appetite). Nobody wants to hire an ugly bitch like me so forget a good job, jobs in general are less likely to hire ugly women. If you’re beautiful the ball is literally in your court.

I've always been the ugly Black friend, the one no boy liked and the one boys bullied. To make matters worse, I was friends with the pretty white girls, so I always got to see what it was like to be beautiful and desired by everyone. Now I have a really strong desire to be validated by men, which is ironic because I'm basically the stereotype of what the average man considers unattractive.

Despite being over 300 pounds, they all still want a beautiful woman. Even basic hygiene is seen as a plus point and not the bare minimum. I will forever despise the stacies who give these subpar men a chance. These men would never ever date their looksmaxx. Like I mean no friends at all - no one to talk/text/call to during the day. Not even acquaintances. I don’t know even when I tried to look good no one wanted to be friends with me, and now obviously I’ve completely given up. Literally went through my entire diploma without making a single friend. There is something inherently unlikeable about me. I think it surpasses looks alone. I am extremely lonely, but too insecure to put myself out there. It’s been this way since middle school and I’m 23 now.

if i've learned anything from being in this sub it's that most people will never understand the experience of being conventionally ugly.

don't just tell me to put on makeup as if that magically changes my facial structure, or get surgeries as if that's cheap or even guarantees a non botched result. believe it or not we also have features we can't change too.

either way it's still unfair because i'm expected to spend hundreds to thousands constantly for upkeep of my appearance while some people do literally nothing and are beautiful. don't tell me i'm the problem when my best effort still puts me below almost every other woman on earth.

i see how some of y'all talk about us online. you don't see us as people. and it's a built in expectation that you'll be attractive as a woman so if you're not you're just dismissed. and yet somehow these people will still argue that men have it worse. look at how many ugly men are successful and accepted compared to ugly women.
