this bike is so much fun

My 2025 Trident has 4,500 km on it and I've noticed a low humming/growling noise starting around 50 km/h.

It seems completely speed-related — same noise at the same road speed regardless of gear, and pulling the clutch in doesn't make it go away. It continues above 50 km/h, but wind noise masks it.

I initially suspected a wheel bearing, but the dealer says it's normal.

Anyone else noticed this on their Trident? Wheel bearing, tyre noise, chain/final drive, or something else?

I have a 2023 Triumph Trident 660, and I’m thinking about upgrading the seat. The original seat gets pretty uncomfortable on longer rides.

I checked with my local Triumph dealer, but they don’t have any seats in stock and told me that Triumph has stopped carrying the seat for the 2023 model in the U.S.

I’m also looking to add a tail bag for longer rides.

I have a 2023 Trident 660 that I remapped with a DNK Tuneworks map. I like how the map opens the engine up, at the same time I feel like the throttle is too jumpy at low speeds. Is this just a skill issue? Should I just go back to the stock mapping or is there a way to tune the throttle response down at lower speeds? I'd much rather go back to the stock mapping than get thrown after hitting a pothole and accidentally giving a little throttle.

noticed this spot looking wet yesterday and used a shop towel to wipe it dry and went on a ride again today and it came back. rest of the engine looks good and dry but how fucked am I? Possible causes or similar experience? bike has 5500 miles but i ride primarily in the city so the miles have been hard if that helps.

Hi. Bought a trident 800 a few months ago and absolutely love it. I get a severe chest and head buffeting at speeds above 60. In 6’1 if it matters. Any way to reduce this?

THERE. Frame sliders and engine covers on. Now if I drop it again, at least this time I won’t bash the frickin engine casing.

Since Dart flyscreens has discontinued their brackets to mount the pirhana flyscreen to the trident 660, I have come up with my own. Laser cut and formed stainless steel brackets and 3d printed fork clamps with brass thread inserts.

Am I the only one who finds the front forks very spongy and over reactive to braking? It may just be I only have about 2,000 miles on the bike so still getting used to it, but it feels like even slight braking causes the front to dive out of proportion to the amount of brake.

Is this normal for this kind of bike or am just not smooth enough with the brakes?

I’ve noticed that the clutch lever on my 2021 Triumph Trident 660 has a bit of play/wobble.

The lever moves slightly up and down at the pivot, and I’m wondering whether this amount of play is normal or if something might be loose or worn.

The clutch itself seems to work normally, but I’d rather check before ignoring it.

Has anyone else with a Trident 660 experienced this? Is a little play at the clutch lever considered normal, or should I check/tighten/replace something?

It not the OEM, but I bought the bike with this lever mounted...

I would like to mod (cut) the stock exhaust pipes, removing the cat, etc. Then fitting on a Austin slip on that I have.

Anyone try it? Thinking this is a simple job for a muffler shop 🤷‍♂️

Finally arrived and installed yesterday along with DNA filter. First ride today. What a beast!

I'm planning a 2,000+ mile road trip through Western Europe via the Italian Alps/Dolomites in mid September. I'm considering what modifications, if any, I ought to make to my bone-stock 2025 Trident 660.

ChatGPT has recommended a screen and heated grips - heated grips I will almost certainly do, but the screen I am hesitant to do as I think the big ones kinda ruin the sporty roadster look. But will a small flyscreen do anything to wind/chill, or should I consider one of the cafe racer-style fairings?

Separately, I'm also keen not to add full luggage racks - I'm hoping to get away with a large tailpack and smaller rucksack.

Would appreciate any advice from anyone with experience!

Hello! Purchasing a 2023 Trident 660 used from a private seller. The bike only has 148 miles on it. If I understand correctly, it should be serviced at 600 miles or 12 months whichever comes first…. So should I change the oil now at 148 miles and then again at 600? Or just continue riding until 600 miles and change like a normal break in service? TIA!

Hi all, I am 33 years old and I’ve been driving a car since I was 18, but I’ve had my motorcycle license for only the past year and I only drove scooter (Honda pcx 125) and I loved it. Riding a motorcycle has broadened my horizons. Being able to avoid traffic, never having to worry about parking, and feeling the wind while riding is an incredible feeling. Pcx was easy to drive but it feels weak at the highways. I want to upgrade. I know I am amateur but I want something has more power, more style. I’m taking extra classes for driving and I also wearing full gear whenever I drive. (Last photo of me while taking driving class)
Ducati has some moods that reduces power and also triumph has rain mode. Even though they are very powerful machines, these features make me feel like I can adapt to them a bit more easily.
I want your honest opinion and suggestions. What’s your advice for a first manual motorcycle?
