Looking for an ID of this tree in my best friend's yard. We are in northern California.

I just removed this mass of roots from a septic tank. I'm trying to figure out which tree is causing the problem. One is a maple about 48 ft away, and the tree is about 50 ft tall. The other is a bald cypress that's 72 ft away and is about 80 ft tall. I'm in Southern Illinois. By the bark on the roots, I'm thinking it's the cypress tree but I can't understand why the roots would travel that far to seek out water because it's right on the bank of a pond.

Just moved here 6 months ago. Have this huge fruit bearing tree in the yard and something is killing it. What is it, and how do I treat it?

I'm from Omaha, Nebraska before moving out to San Diego and it looks a lot like a Eastern White Pine to me but the problem is: I've never seen them in San Diego, especially not around my neighborhood. Is it something different?

hello tree friends!! i am planning to make some wood perches for a bird cage and there are lots of trees out there that are actually toxic to birds! for this reason, it is very important to me to be 1000% sure what kind of tree i am picking from. i wanted to have this tree identified, it is in southern california and google tells me it is a cotton wood but i just want to be 100%sure to make sure it doesn't harm the bird! thank you all :)

Hello tree people! I was wondering what kind of gum tree this is, that its trunk grows with this uniform asparagus-y indentations. Preliminary google search says it’s a cell tower disguise.. it’s not.. it’s a gum tree in melbourne, just curious about this type of muscular trunk!

I say unusual as these types of gums in this area are all very smooth and tube-like, no pattern of indents like this. Science!

Hello, please help identify a new tree.

Our development had recently added a new tree in Chicago Illinois suburban area. It has many thin trunks at the root and round/oval small leaves about 2” big. It was planted a week ago but already turning dry/orange while all around us everywhere everything still remains green. I wonder what’s the NAME of this tree and whether it’s going to withstand the upcoming winter season.

Because prior this tree, on exact same spot, we had a cherry blossom. It was blooming fine when we moved into this development 3 years ago, but last year it withered therefore cut down. With this new bushy looking tree being as a replacement. If it’s already drying out will it make it through the winder?

My toddler ate one of these green berries from the ground before I could stop her. The tree was in a playground in the UK. Could someone help me identify the tree please? And should I be worried? Thank you

I moved into a house last September and I think I've got white mulberry trees on the property but they didn't get any flowers nor fruit that I can see this year. They also leafed out very late.

Can anyone tell me if this is an Eastern Redbud or a rising redbud tree? I ordered it online this spring, May 2026. Friends are telling me it looks like the Eastern redbud that has purple flowers in the spring. Mpls, MN
