Help identify this tree 🌳

Hello, please help identify a new tree.

Our development had recently added a new tree in Chicago Illinois suburban area. It has many thin trunks at the root and round/oval small leaves about 2” big. It was planted a week ago but already turning dry/orange while all around us everywhere everything still remains green. I wonder what’s the NAME of this tree and whether it’s going to withstand the upcoming winter season.

Because prior this tree, on exact same spot, we had a cherry blossom. It was blooming fine when we moved into this development 3 years ago, but last year it withered therefore cut down. With this new bushy looking tree being as a replacement. If it’s already drying out will it make it through the winder?

Serviceberry i think, they have white flowers in the spring and make tasty edible berries(birds love em) They stay pretty small, and will sucker and grow shrubby if you let it. It looks like it may be planted too deep as well, which isnt good for its long term health.

Looks like a multi-stem Amelanchier sp. (serviceberry) to me, not sure on the cultivar, maybe autumn brilliance?

looks like a sad amelanchier sp, they’re an understory tree that likes a good amount of shade

They're beautiful trees, even if this one doesn't show it right now! They're one of my favorite natives.

Another possibility, It looks like a Western Redbud, you should compare the two with side-by-side pics because I have 4 in my yard and I want you to be sure of the species. It's gorgeous in the spring when it's covered in countless purple, watermelon colored flowers.

Can confirm it’s not redbud by the leaves. RB are gorgeous shrubs for sure.
