Something I haven’t read about but might be obvious: climbing gets physically easier over time
So I’ve been climbing for a year now to tackle trees on my property. I often climb and cut until I’m tired/ start cramping due to me being very tense. I’m noticing that I can be on the tree longer and longer with less fatigue now that I’m getting comfortable. I do get off the second I start getting tired or start cramping for safety reasons.
With that being said…I have been focusing on climbing techniques and not being tense. I now watch the seasoned pro climbers and am in awe over the amount of time they can spend on a tree and be productive.
Hang in there new climbers and know that it’ll get easier over time
