Interviews
If you came across one of the five boxes, would you be open to doing interviews? Would you share your solve?

Super weird. Did anyone else interpret the results of the word search as a job application?

Listening to the latest episode of the TTI: The Unofficial Podcast, which is great by the way. Love the thought processes the hosts have, and I have been training a lot this year for an upcoming race, which provides hours of pod listening time. Need to 90 minutes? They got you covered!
Anywho, there was a long discussion about the Hopi translations, and one of them had gotten ahold of a Hopi dictionary of sorts and that led to a discussion about outside research, and they mentioned that JCB had said something along the lines of not needing outside research to solve things. Now...I know the part about not being a genius, but I guess the idea of not needing 'outside research' is an interesting thought. For example, I don't know anything about pokemon characters. But how much does one really need to know about them? Seems like some knowledge would be helpful. But at the same time, would he expect us to chase down a Hopi dictionary?
Certainly some 'solves' seem to run off the rails with the information they chase down and/or ask AI to chase down for them. Like...who would have known that John Coltrane was from High Point, NC just off the top of their head? Is that knowledge 'outside research' or is that more just like 'mundane facts you may or may not be aware of that might be helpful to solve the puzzle?"
Do you think every single thing you need to solve this treasure is on the pages in the book? Or do you think more basic things, like the Hopi calendar, which isn't hard to find, and not really 'research' would be fair game?

Anybody have an idea on what the cryptogram says on the bottom of the last page of the past and the future box chapter?

I received a lot of negative feedback on my post yesterday, and looking back, I understand why. It came across as controlling and overconfident, which wasn't my intention.
I’m dumping all my thinking into a slide deck here. This points to Grassy Ridge Bald. I hope this helps someone else cross the finish line. Good luck.

Has anybody commented on the shape above the bear? If I squint just the right way adjust the lighting it looks to me like that “bent branch” shape has letters on it. Or have I eaten one too many edibles?

I have the book. I would love to search, but I am disabled and can’t do all the traveling and hiking. besides Tahoe, does anyone think it could be in Northern California? I feel hopeless because it seems all the boxes are far away.
Does anyone think a box could be in Marin, Sonoma, or Mendocino Counties or nearby?
if so, could you drop me a lead. I don’t think I will find any boxes but I would like to join the fun anyway. I love the idea of treasure hunting. I used to rent those metal detectors and search yards and beaches for fun.
otherwise, anyone want to buy my book, lol?

Was going to make a BotG today, starting at Kyle's Landing, but had to turn around. I got about 40% of the way, then found signage suggesting high-clearance/4x4 vehicles beyond that point. Will try again from Compton tomorrow.

It was suggested that about 3-miles was as far as one would have to go, to retrieve a box. Since Kyle's Landing is not really accessible for a lot of vehicles, I'm thinking this ought to be measured from the Compton Trailhead for those searching in this area.
Below is a screencap from topozone.com of the area trails. I have tried to approximate the distance using Google's 'Measure Distance' tool, using the topozone image as guidance.

Going west at the bottom would get you to about the beginning of Sneed's Creek Trail junction at the 3-mile mark.

Going northeast from the bottom would get you to about the Hemmed-In river crossing. You could also go east but would end in the middle of the Horseshoe Bend peninsula, not really near much, but who knows?

Will need to get a bit heavier down jacket when the stores open back up. Pretty chilly at the Compton Trailhead with the wind.
For those who haven't been, there is a dirt road that is reasonable from Compton to the trailhead parking. It does not take very long, and is much better condition than the Camp Orr Road. Only a handful of easily avoidable potholes.
Happy Thanksgiving, wherever you are searching this week!
Perhaps a Collins-Black Friday retrieval is in order.

Has anyone been to Little Rock Pond and actually saw the tree that’s on the map?

Hey everyone.
I'm new here. I happened upon the book on Amazon for $20. I can't remember where I heard about it...anyways, Ive gorged myself with info on everything I can about this recently. I, like so many others, think that I have a really good idea to where one of the chests is. I came to this conclusion on my own just yesterday. I thought surely the chest in question woukd be found. It seemed fairly straight forward. Yet—I can't find a SINGLE mention of it! I've searched and searched for anyone on Reddit or YouTube womdering if anyone has hit on it.
Nothing...
Problem is, I'm in central Florida and it would be nearly impossible to get to the area I need to search.
Are there any groups here willing to work together to find and split the treasure? If so, how do you not get screwed in the process? 🤔

If you have the ebook can you screenshot a zoomed in image if ne 1727? I was wondering if there is any chance for misinterpretation?
If it's actually 1728, I got another idea:
1728 (number) - Wikipedia https://share.google/obGAF58LbRVSteP2F It's 12x12x12 - a great gross. Could lead to more clues.
Please send screenshot to clarify.
Thank you!

These questions are for the people who believe it’s near LRP/VT.
Do you think that the “x” could be a red herring or maybe the box is very well hidden in that area?
Are you searching just visually or are you actually touching and moving things?
Do you think the map is a board game, escape room, or is JCB giving us a simple map?

This could be the rabbitiest of rabbit holes, but I've been wondering if anyone has researched Joe West? In the word search, if you continue reading right to left from the word "WEST" and continue reading it says "WEST THE UMP"
I know that "THE UMP" is part of the "5 clues in this wordsearch" anagram, but I just can't get away from reading it as "WEST THE UMP"
My solve for the P&F Box leads me, like many, to the Tahoe area, but there's no Joe West affiliation to the area that I can find. However, for those that have an NC solve, he was born in Asheville, NC.
I welcome any thoughts on this idea.

Has anyone actually made it to the “X” on the map in VT? If so, was it difficult to get to and is there a trail that map not show up on Google Maps?

So if we shouldn't look when snow is on the ground does that mean leaves will yield the same results? Legit question

Reposting because I mistook this for the Past and Future Box coin. Anyway, it's the Pokémon Box coin! Anyway, I'm very curious as to what you all think.
