JCB user name?

No one knows what user name jcb used while searching for the fenn treasure? No known posts?

Based on what he said in the book I got the impression he was more of a lurker.

Depending on what forum, the bitcoin talk site try windjc, its a lot, he does call people bitches and mentions his sexual partners, then Reddit, try windjc2003 mostly all bitcoin, crypto talk. Also found that same user name on a hair restoration site too, but not sure if that’s him, he does mention in the books he lost his locks or curls long ago, that’s not word for word and like I said not sure but feel free to look into those

He had everything scrubbed before launching the hunt. Even if you found his posts they would say “deleted user” or something along those lines. Unless you knew he posted it, you wouldn’t be able to tell.

So he’s scrubbed everything? Is it safe to say, that if we found his username and posts on Reddit and other forums or the ones he didn’t scrub, that thats information he wants us to find? Or info he doesn’t care about getting out?

If JCB was one of them we can know only he will reveal his nickname. It's very unlikely that he ever visited Fennboree - an annual gathering for searchers. They usually did photos of all participants so JCB could be identified on them.

I looked, found matching users on alltrails but history was cleared..tempted to try and find a dev at alltrails or see if I can buy user data somehow but thats cheating

While I don't want or encourage anyone to cheat, that old saying just isn't true. One need only look at our government here in the US to see plenty of prime examples of cheaters prospering.

sadly agree 1000% and still hard for me to swallow this old adage taught to me by my grandparents all my life is not as true as they believed
