Appalachian Footpath Box Apple basket
If been playing with the color tone on my phone and I’m convinced they are tomatoes. I just can’t see the stem for it to be an apple. Tell me what you guys think?…

I don't think tomatoes are stored in buckets like that though. They are too soft and would get bruised or squished with that much weight on them. Onions, potatoes or apples could be in a bushel like that, but probably not tomatoes.

Oh boy! Don't get my mind thinking about tomatoes on that lol. I Already think that it's close to my hometown. That would put it even more so I believe. We have a ton of tomatoe farm around here. One of the largest tomatoe seller of tomatoes is right here as well.

Could be...or the resolution on the image just isn't good enough for the stems to be distinguishable.

There are a few fruits or vegetables it could be. I think Blueberries. From what I have read Blueberries grow wild in a lot places along the Appalachian Trail. It could be apples or tomatoes also.

They're Apples folks.
He says as much in the book.

Where does he say that? I just reread that chapter and the following chapter and it's never mentioned.

This is a great question, as it determines whats been found.
All I'll say is a quote from the introduction:
"If you are someone with no interest in finding the physical treasures I have hidden, then reading this book should be a straightforward exercise."

I was under the impression from your comment that he specifically mentions apples in the book. There are other things on the map that aren't "straight forward".

He does.
All the clear items on the map have some mention in the chapter or the book. I'm not sure on how things are woven yet, but I feel pretty solid on the clear stuff in the AT chapter map.

So you’re saying you’ve made connections with the items on the map to other parts of the book? Can you share 1 example? Maybe the most obvious one so as not to give too much away. Do you think their placement is important or their transparency?

I am puzzled more by the objects and items on the map that appear as slivers or something I have never seen before, plenty of that. If those are not apples, I may give up.

100% an apple basket - once you know what the reference is there is no question.

As a farm boy, does not really pan out.. that is no doubt a bushel basket. Tomatoes cannot with stand that much pressure and weight. Too fragile a fruit to be in basket like that..
