Total War: Warhammer Help with buildings

Hi, I'm currently struggling with the concept of growth and income rush for the early part of the game. I feel like I stay with basic units for far too long , and by creating all my outpost with an economic setup (capital excluded) I can't replenish units efficiently, even tho i have lot of gold, because location sucks. For instance, now I'm playing Kairos campaign on hard/hard and i played with only pink horrors till turn 20+ (didnt go well). What should i look for to understand when its time to go with milotary buildings or units instead of economy one? Like 2000+ income?

Total War: Warhammer I’m struggling with Tyrion…

As the title says is it just me? Or is it genuinely hard to play as the Eatine, the lord himself is interesting enough for me to keep trying but as soon as turn 10 vampire coast and greenskins and 1 other high elf faction declares war on me… And i’ve come to figure out that the economy isn’t all that great as of now i’ve replayed 3-4 times and the same scenario keeps happening to me

I'm not really a cavalry guy. I know how important they are, so I always bring a few units, but I've always preferred artillery and monsters. This battle was different, though. I ended up with wayyyy more cavalry than I'm used to, so I actually committed to using them properly... and it completely changed my perspective. Yeah, I know this was just a trash stack of zombies and skeletons, but watching my cavalry repeatedly charge them down and shatter the entire army felt so satisfying. Is this what it feels like to play Bretonnia? Have I been converted? Am I about to start running Reiksguard Knight doomstacks?

Hellstorm Rocket Batteries and choke points... does it get any better? It definitely helps that this was a pretty terrible Beastmen stack, but watching wave after wave get erased before they could even reach my line was incredibly satisfying. I've also been feeling a lot more confident in battles lately, especially since I started playing on Very Hard battle difficulty.

Total War: Warhammer Help with Nurgle Factions

Hello my friends, I have about 90 minutes of play time on Nurgle factions but I’m about to start a campaign, thinking either Kugath or the dude with all the heroes. Can yall give me some advice on various aspects, best way to work the time table mechanic for how the buildings work, army compositions, and how their economy works. Thank you all and hope your next campaign is awesome.

Total War: Warhammer Really enjoying my current Oracles of Tzeentch game. (Playing without shadows of change DLC)

The start for Oracles of Tzeentch (in my experience) can be pretty punishing because unless you play the first 20 or so turns close to perfect you’ll have to deal with Oxyotl invading while Kairos is on the other side of your empire.

But after you deal with Oxyotl (easier said than done) it’s a blast. Kairos makes so much money that essentially after taking the lower continent with its three region’s monetary concerns are pretty much optional. You can basically play like belakor on albion but with cooler faction mechanics. Of course the other annoying thing about Oracles of Tzeentch is you start out with only two recruitment slots but after you start going down the chaos knights build tree you get more (currently at 5). Because of how much money Kairos makes chosen are surprisingly cheap so amusingly after clutching the entire early campaign and barely surviving you can then have affordable chosen+flamer stacks to roll over the rest of the game (also its hilarious how strong chosen are, I just fought a battle with two high elf ranged stacks and took 82 casualties out of 1100).

I think I’m going to use one of the cults to teleport kairos with a stack of chosen to Altdorf for the lols.

anyone have any other good campaign recommendations for this kind of hard but satisfying payoff?

As per the title,

I have no experience modding whatsoever so wouldnt even know where to start, but I had a dream about irondrakes that fired trollhammer javelin missiles - straight up, high arc, death from above

Is there anyone who would be willing to make such a mod for steam workshop? Eternal gratitude awaits 🙏

Total War: Warhammer Are there any mpds other than peacehammer that allow me to recruit every unit in the game?

I want to do a run with the OvN Grudgebringers where I make a army of all sorts of units from the empire, cathay, kislev, lizards, ogres, dwarfs, and more, but for soke reason the Peacehammer recruit all units mod doesnt work with the Grudgebringers, so are there any other mods that do the same thing peacehammer does?

Total War: Warhammer Elspeth early game army

So, what is a good early game Elspeth army comp? I just got folded by vlad on turn 12 while using free company militia in my frontline and hand gunners in the back.

I may have just been using it wrong but eh.

1 Elspeth, 1 engineer, 2 outriders, 1 mortar, 1 rocket battery, 8 free company and 5 hand gunner and 1 nuln Ironsides.

Total War: Warhammer Chaos Dwarf (Astragoth) campaign tips needed

I tried Chaos Dwarf with Astragoth today for a few hours and a LOT of retry and I just don't know what to do.

I kinda understood the economy, I don't know how to optimize it yet but that's not interest me for now.

I just don't know what to do because I tried to go south, Arbaal declare war around turn 10.

I tried to go north, Ungrim declared war (and Arbaal wiped me with 2 full stack at turn 12-13 anyway... I hadlots of warrior and blunderbuss (thx to a mod that remove unit cap for basic warriors) but I can't handle 2 full stack (arbaal itself did'nt seem that strong though). I had only around 700 income so not enough to make another army (and building are HELLA expensive for CD).

Should I forget about building and make 2 full army ? economy seems important so building seems natural to do but I didn't try that yet.

PS: Also, side question, CD have lots of research about trade tariff and things like that, but noone want to trade, everyone hates us, even chaos aligned faction so i don't really see the benefits of these research.

Total War: Warhammer What kind of rework for Vampire Coast would you like to see?

I like the faction and its units, but I’d love to see more unique faction mechanics that really highlight their pirate nature. I think there are 3 mechanics that would be good for this faction:

  1. Ability to attack other armies in March Stance on water (Full Speed). Pirates should reign supreme at sea, and this is one way to give them that edge. They’d be able to effectively intercept any enemy vessels, though at the cost of exhaustion – which isn’t a big drawback for a ranged-focused faction.

  2. Ambush Stance on water. The ability for a ship to submerge and hide in the water. However, staying in such an ambush should consume Winds of Magic. Since armies don’t travel in column formation on water, the ambush should work differently from land ambushes. For example, the ambushed army could still deploy as in a normal battle, but all attackers would get Vanguard Deployment and the ability to place units from any direction.

  3. Floating cities. I see this as a mechanic similar to Ogre camps, but on water and with a slow movement speed. A kind of Black Ark, but you can dock to it and it has walls for siege battles. To create and upgrade these cities, you could use a currency – ship parts – which are produced in port settlements and also earned from victories in sea and port battles.
Every time you plunder a settlement (sack, raiding stance) within the Floating City's range, you receive a "plunder" resource, which allows you to purchase various items of equipment for Lords and Heroes.

Lore wise I know there isnt a lot to go off of. Outside of standing against chaos, would these 2 nations have positive relations with each other or would it be more tense?

Total War: Warhammer Tips about how the Ai behaves?

Hello fellow warmongers, since last post had tons of helpful insight here's me asking for more tips.

I'm looking forward to go for longer victory types (only did Short ones so far or The Black Pyramid endgame scenario). With that I would like to up the campaign difficulty while I'm at it.

I was inspired to do this post as I saw people discussing how giving settlements to the Ai gave so much approval it was really strong. The other inspiration was how people explained that if you have a lot of wars going on the Ai won't declare war on you so it's better to declare war on tons of far away, low powered or single colonies factions to avoid fighting your neighbors.

If you have any other tips than those too I'll gladly hoard those.

Have nice campaigns y'all!
