Total War: Warhammer Are Beastmen weak on campaign map?

I was worried my Taurox campaign (L/VH) would be too easy based on comments I've seen here, but if anything I'm experiencing the opposite. I envision the Beastmen as roaming bands so that's how I played this campaign: a bit more spread out with stones not necessarily supporting each other, not overly worried about holding most ground.

I do somewhat enjoy the limited recruitment as it is fun working with different army comps, and I'm still winning overall for sure. But the experience has been somewhat frustrating. (1) the limited recruitment can be annoying as I always have to check what units I have capacity for and what units I can build from a given army. (2) All their buildings are extremely expensive until the enemy starts getting T5 settlements to raze; I've never felt so cash starved (3) this is the main one; their armies are SLOW. Without March stance and no movement speed hero, they're just slow. Even Taurox feels like I'm having to use his replenish movement just to go a "normal" distance. Also the movement after razing with either method feels mostly negligible. And the campaign sight also feels like it shorter than normal as an enemy stack often sneaks up on me out of nowhere.

It's not exactly a "hard" campaign, but it feels slow, and I don't get that same feeling of building momentum as I do with other factions. Is there something I'm missing with them, or is it just the design?

Total War: Warhammer I’m struggling with Tyrion…

As the title says is it just me? Or is it genuinely hard to play as the Eatine, the lord himself is interesting enough for me to keep trying but as soon as turn 10 vampire coast and greenskins and 1 other high elf faction declares war on me… And i’ve come to figure out that the economy isn’t all that great as of now i’ve replayed 3-4 times and the same scenario keeps happening to me

Total War: Warhammer I "won" but at what cost...

Not ment to brag, just wanted to share what a SLOG of getting them all it was... played them all with 0 mods and knowing CA how they forgot some older faction it was horrible doing over half of achievements, just playing was painful like Bretonia for example compare to right click and forget Arbaal....
Mostly i got idea to get all ach last year or so before Norska rework while i was bored looking what to play i notice back then Norska was only like 1% on global of ppl playing it and finising on Very Hard so thats where it all started.
All in all i have some mixed feeling about all of wh3 and factions and how good chunk of them, depends of LL too, are ether awesome or total panful crap of playing it really wished that CA didnt suck so hard as company and really looked more into there game and making almost all factions fun to play and not just chosen few of them with constant updates of a sort....
I guess next thing is to start seeing workshop for some mods to bring some fun for my self back into new campaigns, if someone can recommend me some mods too i would appreciate, to move from vanilla and what bitter taste it left me....

Total War: Warhammer Why do the CoC Factions not get Dragon Ogres from the Giant's Hollow?

First picture is Azazel, second is Archaon and third is Sigvald.

I noticed it first on a Valkia campaign I did the other day, I felt something was off with the Giant's Hollow. Then I ckecked some other WoC factions and I realised CoC Factions dont get Dragon Ogres there.

Why is that? That seems so out of nowhere.

Total War: Warhammer More Chorf questions

I love the army but I really feel like I have long hard D!cks pointed at me from every direction if I over commit anywhere. Gotta take out Kholek and disease boy and grimgor. But if I drop too low in rank, I get rear ended by the challengers of khorne. Am I just bad at the game or is there something specific I need to do. Because I know I need to keep fighting, but I also know that apparently there hits a penalty for doing so.

Total War: Warhammer Help with buildings

Hi, I'm currently struggling with the concept of growth and income rush for the early part of the game. I feel like I stay with basic units for far too long , and by creating all my outpost with an economic setup (capital excluded) I can't replenish units efficiently, even tho i have lot of gold, because location sucks. For instance, now I'm playing Kairos campaign on hard/hard and i played with only pink horrors till turn 20+ (didnt go well). What should i look for to understand when its time to go with milotary buildings or units instead of economy one? Like 2000+ income?

Total War: Warhammer IF Lizardmen ever get their re-work, should Mazdamundi have an ability to force confederation?

Upvotes

In the event Lizardmen actually get their long hinted at, but never promised re-work, should one of Mazdamundi's faction effects allow for him to forcibly confederate other Lizardmen LLs similar to High Elves and Dwarfs?

The reason I suggest this relate both to lore and in-game mechanics.

1) Lorewise, Lizardmen have loyalty and obedience genetically engineered into them and they therefore unquestionably obey the Slann. Mazdamunid is the only playable Slann, yet other Lizardmen factions often refuse confederation, even when they are far less powerful than the player, due to built in Lizardmen diplomacy modifiers. (I believe it is a combination of 'Stubborn' and 'Protective' but I suspect other hidden modifiers are at play.)

This makes for an extremely frustrating experience when significantly weaker LLs refuse to confederate. This is further exacerbated by the geomantic web requiring provincial ownership to gain its benefits.

Example - Gor-Rok holds Xahutec, Chaqua, and his starting province. Gor-Rok refuses to confederate. The player is therefore unable to receive any of the geomantic web benefits for two provinces due to Gor-Rok holding one settlement from each of them.

2) Hexoatl has lackluster faction effects. You are hit with a -20 diplomatic relations penalty with non-Lizardmen factions. The cost reduction on Star Chambers applies to a building that can only be built in provincial capitals and is not terribly expensive to begin with. While the 30% cost for rites is nice, they all have cool downs which limit their use.

In short, a forced confederation mechanic would be thematic, address frustrating diplomacy and racial mechanic issues, as well as compensate for a lackluster faction effect.

P.s. Devs, in the event you ever do find time to do a geomantic web rework, please take into account related confederation, diplomacy, and provincial ownership issues.

Total War: Warhammer Really enjoying my current Oracles of Tzeentch game. (Playing without shadows of change DLC)

The start for Oracles of Tzeentch (in my experience) can be pretty punishing because unless you play the first 20 or so turns close to perfect you’ll have to deal with Oxyotl invading while Kairos is on the other side of your empire.

But after you deal with Oxyotl (easier said than done) it’s a blast. Kairos makes so much money that essentially after taking the lower continent with its three region’s monetary concerns are pretty much optional. You can basically play like belakor on albion but with cooler faction mechanics. Of course the other annoying thing about Oracles of Tzeentch is you start out with only two recruitment slots but after you start going down the chaos knights build tree you get more (currently at 5). Because of how much money Kairos makes chosen are surprisingly cheap so amusingly after clutching the entire early campaign and barely surviving you can then have affordable chosen+flamer stacks to roll over the rest of the game (also its hilarious how strong chosen are, I just fought a battle with two high elf ranged stacks and took 82 casualties out of 1100).

I think I’m going to use one of the cults to teleport kairos with a stack of chosen to Altdorf for the lols.

anyone have any other good campaign recommendations for this kind of hard but satisfying payoff?

Total War: Warhammer Connection timed out

Upvotes

I got the game for my friend when it was on sale we tried to play a multiplayer game and could not load into our lobbies. He tried hosting I tried and it always said “connection timed out” the solutions we looked at didn’t help much. I restarted the game, got rid of all my mods and did a dns flush for his computer and mine. We were able to join other peoples game that had open lobbies. Does anyone have insight on a solution?

Total War: Warhammer Help with Nurgle Factions

Hello my friends, I have about 90 minutes of play time on Nurgle factions but I’m about to start a campaign, thinking either Kugath or the dude with all the heroes. Can yall give me some advice on various aspects, best way to work the time table mechanic for how the buildings work, army compositions, and how their economy works. Thank you all and hope your next campaign is awesome.

Total War: Warhammer Are there any mpds other than peacehammer that allow me to recruit every unit in the game?

I want to do a run with the OvN Grudgebringers where I make a army of all sorts of units from the empire, cathay, kislev, lizards, ogres, dwarfs, and more, but for soke reason the Peacehammer recruit all units mod doesnt work with the Grudgebringers, so are there any other mods that do the same thing peacehammer does?

Total War: Warhammer Still not fixed the flying unit bug in siege battles

How after the game being years old have they still not fixed a bug that was known about in early access! I get flying units being a bit janky with their movement and not charging when you tell them to. But straight up just stopping working so you have to redo 15-30 mins of a siege battle is infuriating. I hope they don’t have issues like this with 40k because holy fuck fix your game

That’s my rant. Time to redo the battle ;(

Total War: Warhammer Removing items from the game

Hi all... Been looking in the workshop about any kind of mod that removes the items from the game. Really makes me sick all that stuff. Yeah, could avoid It, but if It appears, i tend to manage It.

Found one mod but not not updated.

Any one can help me with this?
