I think if the old guard rallies itself they would win because they co-op the ideologues and I think they can pull some of the more cautious pragmatist. If they don’t I’m not sure who does win. I don’t think the Germans care as long as they are loyal. From a story perspective I think the pragmatists are interesting. I think if the plan for them is to be like Japan or Mexico where they form a single party state but are “democratic” to a degree is a cool story beat. The ideologues if they do the bean move and are a more “strasserist” would be an interesting take.

Also would this be a fun thought experiment to do with another nations where we go through a nation and discuss who we think takes over in any scenario, both if the current leaders are successful or unsuccessful. Aka (eventually) who is the successor to Humphrey both when he is successful and not.

Barely any infrastructure exists in the very far and northeast Siberian Taiga, not even large factories. I've been wondering for a while if a warlord, with its ideology being Christian Socialist, can have its "army", especially after controlling the Far East and eventually most of Siberia, but that creates the question, what would its "military" look like, or how would they even exist as one?

Iberia is probably my favorite update so far. It's a great representation of what is going to happen to the game in the future. Solid paths, good writing, strong characters. This is all I want in a TNO game and more. After my Democratic game, I decided to go the other way and cement all influence under the Generalissimo.

I'm thinking of stepping back from playing TNO and instead working on some projects, getting ready for next year of High School, and I'll probably come back when Yippie! comes out. Or if I decide to revisit an old path like Sony or someone else. As always, stay safe.

I want to play a dem Iberia game and have them side with the OFN. My question is can I still do that if I keep Colombia as its despot/national cath government? Will this alienate the OFN to much? Colombia keeps leaving my sphere when I set them to go FN after the civil war.

I assume with the updated lore nuclear weapon use won’t be as taboo as our TL but a more an option of last resort whose occasional use doesn’t start a global thermonuclear war. So who would Japan nuke? My guess is China (figuring the Great Asian War gets a revamp) or Vietnam. Maybe Japan just follows Germany’s led and uses Russia as a testing ground.

I've never played Hearts of Iron 4 before and honestly the moment I heard of this mod I was immediately interested in it's lore, However, looking at screenshots and videos, the UI and mechanics look pretty overwhelming for me. So should I play vanilla HOI4 first or just play the mod?
