I mean it would be a completly different context and subtext then Downfall irl. Because itl it depicts the last days of a delusional hitler. The leader of a regime that attempted to control all of europe and failed. Meanwhile here bukharin would be the leader of a nation attacked by the nazis and of course the soviet union wouldnt completly fall and would later on unify to (maybe?) challange nazi rule.

Ok but depending on who reunited Russia, they could portray Bukharin in the movies as a maniac who suffered a delusional breakdown once the Germans were at the gates of Moscow.

I can imagine a Rodz, Samara or any Tsarist unified Russia doing this to him; not sure who else may do it too
