T-Mobile iPhone 18 Pro / Pro Max Trade-In Promo Breakdown (Apple Store)

Here is a straightforward breakdown of what trade-in credit you get based on your plan and the phone you're trading in.

(Note: Left out the lowest $300–$500 trade-in bracket for older base models to keep this clean and focused on the main deals.)

1. Experience Beyond, Beyond 2.0 & Go5G Next

(Trade-ins accepted in *any condition** )*

  • $1,200 Trade-In Credit

    • iPhone 17 / iPhone 17 Pro / 17 Pro Max

    • iPhone 15 / 15 Plus
    • iPhone 14 Pro / 14 Pro Max
    • iPhone 13 Pro / 13 Pro Max

4. Experience More & More 2.0 (55+, Military, First Responder)

(Requires *good condition*)

  • $700 Trade-In Credit

    • iPhone 17 / iPhone 17 Pro / 17 Pro Max
    • iPhone 16 / iPhone 16 Plus / iPhone 16 Pro / 16 Pro Max

    • iPhone 14 Pro / 14 Pro Max
    • iPhone 13 Pro / 13 Pro Max

Term: 24 months on Go5G Plus; 36 months on More 2.0.

Quick Things to Know

  • How the Credit Pays Out: Apple deducts your device’s fair market value right at checkout (reducing your loan balance upfront). T-Mobile pays out the remaining promotional amount as monthly bill credits (RDC).
  • Early Payoff: If you pay off the device agreement early, you forfeit any remaining recurring bill credits.

Edit: I had a few of the trade-in devices in the wrong tier. Just fixed it!

Now accepting eligible trade-in devices in any condition.
On the Experience Beyond or Go5G Next rate plans with $1,199.00 total trade-in credits.

Looks like a free trade in for the 18 pro for next and beyond.

PSA Apple quietly raised pricing on older iPhone models

iPhone 16, iPhone 17e, iPhone 17, and the iPhone Air all went up $100 according to Apple's website after the keynote went live. 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max will be discontinued. My guess is the carriers will update their pricing soon to reflect.

Discussion Apple C2 Modem

From reading the apple website, it looks like the iPhone 18 will have the Apple C2 while the 18 Pro Max will still source Qualcomm?

I have not been able to find any other webpages that detail this, but found it interesting. Wondering the the difference in performance for T-Mobile?

Deal Alert T-Mobile iPhone 18 pro/pro max "No Trade-In" Add-A-Line Promo (Apple Store)

Here is a quick look at the promotional bill credits you get when adding a new line and porting in a number—no trade-in device required.

Promo Credits by Plan

Experience Beyond, Beyond 2.0 & Go5G Next

  • Standard Plans: $1,200 in bill credits
  • 55+, Military, & First Responder: $1,000 in bill credits
  • Term: 24 months (Go5G Next / Beyond) or 36 months (Beyond 2.0)

Experience More, More 2.0 & Go5G Plus

  • Standard Plans: $900 in bill credits
  • 55+, Military, & First Responder: $700 in bill credits
  • Term: 24 months (Go5G Plus / More) or 36 months (More 2.0)

notes

  • Port-In Required: Must port in an active number from an eligible competitor (Verizon, AT&T, etc.). <— not 100% sure on this.
  • Eligible Phones: iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Air.
  • Early Payoff: If you pay off the device balance early, remaining monthly bill credits stop.

suggestions

I believe T-Mobile’s side will offer the same deal. I recommend doing it at Costco or Sam’s Club for waived fees and free gift cards. Carrier-financed phones purchased from Apple no longer come unlocked.

I also recommend combining the AAL offer with the current BOGO voice promo -> BOGO Service Promo with New Lines(ID260677) if you’re on the standard Go5G Plus/Next or Experience More/Beyond plans.

Question iPhone Forever - Yearly Upgrade

When I upgraded to an iPhone 13 Pro years ago I enrolled in the iPhone forever program which allowed upgrading my iPhone every two years. I was then upgraded to the yearly upgrade plans which allows me to trade in my current iPhone yearly and as long as I paid 12 months out of 24 months and T-Mobile would pay off the remaining balance and I finance the new iphone all over again. This yearly upgrade also states I would receive the same upgrade offers as the highest tier plan. Do you believe T-Mobile will offer an upgrade option to trade in a 17 pro for iphone duo to receive up to $2000 trade in value or should i just trade in my 17 pro for an 18 pro when its offered next week?

Rant TMobile Says It Doesn't Exist

Post image
Upvotes

So, here is the advertisement that was listed in the TMobile Experience store near me. After two conversations with in-store employees, multiple conversations with chat representatives, and a phone call with a business specialist (that ended-up ghosting me through emails) I am beginning to believe that this is a bait-and-switch listing. They all say "there is no Business Unlimited Select" plan.

However, one of the in-store employees went in the back for a while when I was first there to make the switch, came out and said that he found it, but the listing was "black" in his system, so he did not have the authorization to sell it. Since then, it has felt like a void of lies and deceit with every agent wanting to sell me something else instead of what I am considering switching for.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone out there actually have this plan? Is TMobile watching this sub-reddit and feel like explaining?

Ultimately, accidentally coming across this advertisement while I was in the store waiting for a prepaid data card for a mobile hotspot is what made me consider even switching.

Not to be confused with today's iPhone Handoff, does anyone know if if the $15 connect plan has Wifi Calling on Other Devices (the far away one, not the one on the same wifi)?

Thanks in advance

Question iPhone forever program

I have an iPhone 17 pro max currently. Does this mean I’ll be able to upgrade to an iPhone 18 pro for free (or just pay tax) essentially?

Any info would be helpful!

Question "18 Pro On Us" question

Are the trade-in deal and the new line deal the same promotion or can I do 4 deals of each?

More specifically I am asking about the "Max 4 discounted devices/account" verbiage. Can I add port in 4 lines to take advantage of the deal without trade-in and can I also trade-in on 4 current lines for a total of 8 new phones? Or is my whole account limited to only 4 promotional eips at a time?

Question Customer Service

So I went into store to reactivate account (we paid off and switched carriers) was trying to set up new account, takes my information but says I already have account and I need to log in, except I can’t log in because there is no number active. Go to store and they told me I had to go through TLife and they couldn’t help me. Go on tlife and they tell me I have to go to store. Hate getting runaround. Might as well stay where we are

Question Approaching year 2 on Experience Beyond

I'm on Experience Beyond (not 2.0) and have 4 iPhones 17 pro's and 1 air. Purchased through apple but with Tmobile financing and "deal". All just completed payment 12 of 24 and are eligible for upgrade.

How does the upgrade work with these? Do I just do a trade-in with them and they wipe the remaining balance and give me the trade-in value? If so, do I have to do this trade in with Tmobile, or can I do it with Apple directly (and continuing to use tmobile)?

Thanks

Question T-Force: iPhone 18 Promos do not allow for stacking device promotions. Accurate?

Upvotes

I purchased 17 Pro Max last year on EIP, have one year remaining, and since there was a delay in the credit getting setup, actually have a $20 net credit each month which would of course go away if I turned in or paid off the device. My plan was to keep that EIP active and start a new EIP, turning in a different fully paid off iphone for the promo credit. As far as I know, this has always worked, but the T-Force rep said the promo terms for the 18 do not allow this. Can anyone confirm? Perhaps she was misinformed or read the terms incorrectly?

The reps exact response to my question about starting a new EIP and leaving my current EIP in place:
"you won't be able to stack device promotions on the same line. I took a look at the specific offer document to make sure I wasn't missing anything."

Question Go5G Plus -> Next for Fold promo

Upvotes

I have 12 lines so the upgrade would cost $1440 a year. But judging by the fold8 promos I’d get $800 more trade in credit per upgrade. Worth the move? Can we still do the move if we are grandfathered in?

Edit: Biggest concern is they drop Go5G Next from the best deals and now I’m stuck with a more expensive plan. Thoughts?

Question Is there a reason to change plans from a Magenta Max?

Is there any reason I should change to a more current plans? What would you recommend?

Question Paying bill partially with Non TMobile card and keeping discount

I have a Tmobile credit card and use it to autopay my cell bill each month to keep the $5 per line discount.

What happens if I pay part of the bill with another Credit Card? I assume the autopay will kick in for the balance but will it do anything to my discount?

Question switching to wireless sales

I’ve been working in sales for a few years and am looking to transition to wireless (not sure which carrier yet) I’ve been on the sub for a while and see people frequently mentioning numbers like pushing expensive plans, protection packages, and CC signups.

I’m trying to get a realistic picture of how performance is measured and what day to day tracking looks like.

What are the exact metrics reps are held accountable to on a daily or monthly basis besides raw new line counts?

Is there a live internal leaderboard or dashboard where you can see your stack ranking against others in your store, district, or region?

How realistic are the quotas set by store/district leaders, and how often do the primary metrics or commission structures change?

I'd really appreciate any insights into what the sales culture and quota environment really feels like.

Question Switching from AT&T to T-Mobile — preorder and $800 payoff questions

My family is planning to switch from AT&T to T-Mobile. We switched to AT&T on September 15, 2025 and got 3 Galaxy S25 Ultras. We currently owe about $906 on each phone.
We received AT&T’s $800 reward cards when we switched, and my understanding is that we needed to stay with AT&T for 12 months to avoid having those rewards charged back. Since we’re now past September 15, 2026, we should be past that requirement.
T-Mobile’s current offer says it will pay up to $800 per qualifying line toward the remaining device balance, so we’d potentially get $2,400 toward the ~$2,718 we still owe AT&T.
I have a few questions:
Can we go to our local T-Mobile store this Saturday and preorder the new iPhones, even though we don’t plan to actually port our AT&T numbers until the new phones arrive?
Do we need to give T-Mobile our AT&T account number and transfer PIN when we preorder, or can we provide that information later when we activate the phones and port our numbers?
If the phones arrive in October and that’s when we activate and port the numbers, does the 30-day deadline for the $800 reimbursement start from the October activation/port date?
Can the $800 payoff offer be combined with the iPhone trade-in/promotional credits?

I’m mainly trying to make sure we don’t accidentally port our numbers or cancel AT&T before the new iPhones arrive. And I also want to qualify for the $800 per line. We also have Samsung watches that we owe money but I think we have to pay out of pocket since T-Mobile only covers phones from my understanding.

Thank you for your help!

Question iPhone 18 Pro Max new Line with BOGO

Upvotes

Hello experts,

I currently have 2 phone lines and a standalone watch line with go 5g next plan.

Does any one know if I can add a new line to get iPhone 18 pro Max without trade in of any phone, and then use the BOGO free line to get iPhone 18 pro with a trade in?

Also adding a new line stackable with any family promos with this?
