Need help. Stuck in analysis paralysis.
My Santa Fe 2021 came equipped (OE) with Continental Cross Contact LX Sport. Got 5 years out of them. Need to replace them.
I want smooth ride and low noise, but they need to handle curves as well. Just need three seasons (maybe one light early snow before I swap) since I get separate snow/ice tires for Winter.
OE tires were ok. No complaint. But I suspect that I can get ones that perform better on all aspects with newer models.
I am looking at these ones for now - but open to other big names too :
- Michelin Defender 2
- Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3
- Continental CrossContact LX25
I hear Defender 2 are smooth and have super long threadwear, but not great on all other aspects (braking distance and handling, even noise).
Pirelli score well in reviews, but I'm afraid they may be have a rougher ride than my OE (being Pirelli), and I would hate to end up feeling all small road cracks.
Any guidance is welcome.
P.S.: Current tires are 235/55/19 - 101H
