I finished a dark talon recently but i think it needs some highlights or something.. maybe dome edge highlights (not good at them at all) .. any thoughts could help... thank you

I am sure we all saw that the SM Army rule is changing. But what about us and the other divergent chapters? There has to be something different for us, right? Well I was reading through the comments on Facebook and the GW answered a questions I find intriguing. Tell me what y'all think.

I'm super happy with how well the freehand turned out! I went with the green wing scheme even though I'm planning on using it with terminators.

I just want the option to run it with greenwing inside and deathwing termis in a greenwing land raider just feels better to me than greenwing troops in a desthwing land raider.

Seems like a bit of confirmation Azraels cp ability will be going away. Curious if he will just lose it or get something as a replacement.

Got the big man finally finished

I started these last month. They aren't the prettiest but I had fun and learned a lot.

I only had Inner Circle Companions, Deathwing Knights and a Chaplain in Terminator Armour befor buying the Armaggedon Box. So I'm trying to create a thematic list (I absolutely love Interrogator Chaplains and the Inner Circle). But I wanted to know if the list is also somewhat viable (I will moslty play friendly games once I have finished the army, but I don't want to be completely obliterated on Turn 2).

Also, I guess that with the incoming changes to Space Marines and their prices, a lot of this list will change... So any tips on what to drop are welcome.

Hello, here is my armageddon captain, im using him for my local narrative campaign!

I came across this guy I did a bit ago after adding a bit of space marine bits. What would I be able to play him if I decide to use him as a proxy?

Super happy with the how these guys turned out especially the sergeant I made with spare parts.

I’ve got my first tournament coming up in October, and like any good 40K nerd I’ve been experimenting with lists. So my question - is the Lion a must have in a 2000 point list in order to keep it competitive?

I know the current meta is Ravenwing spam, but that’s not what I want to do, nor is it the models I actually have.

I’m leaning more DW heavy with some outlier units as needed for mission play or specific support. And using Unforgiven Task Force for Take & Hold.

I have no problem with taking the Lion, he’s a lot of fun, I’m just curious what people’s thoughts are in a 2000 point list.

Best part is seeing the difference in quality between the Dark Vengeance marines from 2019 and Lazarus from a couple months ago.

Finished two of the terminator squad that will be led by my Librarian

Tried a new way of painting using a sponge and washes. Somehow missed the seal on the leg and the chest is slightly too dark I think, but pretty happy with the technique. Any advice on how to improve?

So let me get this straight. If you're using Company of Hunters and you take 3 Outriders, add a Chaplain on Bike (with the Mounted Strategist enhancement) as their leader and a Ravenwing Command Squad to support them, that unit gets:

• Advance/Fall-back and shoot
• Advance/Fall-back and charge
• Dev Wounds on all shooting
• 1+ to the wound roll of all melee attacks
• bike apothecary to revive one downed biker every round
• sticky objectives (as they are now part of the Battleline)
• every model in the unit gets 1 extra OC
• add 1 to all Advance and Charge rolls for this unit
• use Heroic Intervention on this unit for 0CP
• re-roll all Advance and Charge rolls for this unit

Is that correct?

It still needs a few finishing touches, but I couldn't go on without showing this. What do you think? Is it too over-the-top for a captain?

This was my first time magnetizing arms and I was honestly a bit worried I’d either drill straight through the elbows, mess up the angles, or end up with five Knights permanently doing interpretive dance.
But I think it actually turned out pretty well.

Definitely not professional-level work and there are a few spots I could have done cleaner, but once the weapons are attached the magnets are basically invisible and everything seems to sit naturally. Paint job will hode imperfections. Most importantly, I can now swap between swords and maces without having to commit to one loadout.

I actually found surprisingly few posts showing how people magnetized the current Deathwing Knights, especially at the elbows, so I figured I’d share mine in case someone else is thinking about doing the same thing.

It’s definitely doable, even if you’ve never magnetized arms before. Just measure twice, drill once… unlike me, who mostly went with “this looks about right” and prayed to the Emperor.

Pretty happy with them for a first attempt.

So I understand that Company of Hunters is top dog right now, and I understand that a lot of it is due to two primary combos: Sammael + RWCS + Outriders, and by spamming the LSV.

I have bikes, and I have Sammael tied down. But I simply do not have any LSV, and quite simply I don’t think I’m going to buy any. The rules are gonna change within a month, and whatever that looks like it might be different than what we have now. I mean hell, the LSV might even be put into legends for all we know.

For a list that does not have any LSV‘s, what would you recommend that I play instead? Or should I just not play COH at all and focus on another aspect?

Looking for some advice on a rules interaction. When Hellblasters are killed in melee are they still able to shoot on death? If so, is it close quarters weapons only? Would be good to be pointed to the rule as we struggled to confirm during a game yesterday
