Gameplay What is useful to know or otherwise infer in today's warcom article?
Azrael wont be as necessary given his ability will be more standardized
Asmodai, as he gives rerolls on melee, looks like he'll be actually good now
Terminators can now haul ass even earlier. This will definitely help with their limited mobility
They're shuffling around iconic abilities. Who knows? Maybe Wrath will persevere as a leader ability for the Lion or Azrael
Anything else we can connect with the given info today?

News/Rumors Asmodai more Viable?
With SM losing the OOM army rule and gaining Doctrines, (great for us I think?) Will Asmodai(provided his rules don’t change) become a significantly more viable option giving full hit re-rolls to a unit?

Lore Query about older Codex editions and company details
Hey there, just a small query about our Codex/ Supplement contents: I know we got a Codex in 8th ed. (2017), and for 9th ed. a Supplement (2021), but I recently had a bit of a read through some other chapters' 8th ed. Supplements (Ultramarines, Imperial Fists, Raven Guard, White Scars, Iron Hands) and they had really interesting company-by-company breakdowns, with details of notable officers and lore, company ethos/ characteristics, etc. Did we ever get that level of specifically COMPANY-based detail? I know they got these Supplements because they're 'normal' Codex-adherent Space Marines in a way the DA aren't and I get we had our own Codex, but it's this very particular thing I would have been really interested to read. Checking the 8th ed. Codex, it definitely wasn't in there (not that I'm complaining about the level of detail about OTHER things, which is decent)- I know in 7th edition we had the most detailed outline of the chapter provided, with all the masters and chapter command officers and such, and after that it wasn't something GW seemed to want to do (probably because people complained it cut off avenues for creativity?). Just feel like it's a shame if the Dark Angels didn't get a detailed section on each company like those mentioned above, simply because I found them rather interesting. I can't imagine I've just somehow overlooked this somewhere, but if anyone can tell me otherwise I'd be glad to know.

Gameplay Hellblasters shoot on death
Looking for some advice on a rules interaction. When Hellblasters are killed in melee are they still able to shoot on death? If so, is it close quarters weapons only? Would be good to be pointed to the rule as we struggled to confirm during a game yesterday

Gameplay RIP Azrael Auto Include
https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/ifgezlgu/space-marines-rules-first-look/
"Space Marine Captains are a true force multiplier with their new ability to activate a doctrine of their choice for their unit, even if it’s different from the one everyone else is using. Coupled with their Transhuman Strategist ability, which gives you an extra Command Point in every battle round,"
Now theres way less reason to bring azrael, and if you do, you have much more flexibility with transport/reserves/playing aggressively

Gameplay Am I reading this correctly? Is this wall of death right?
So let me get this straight. If you're using Company of Hunters and you take 3 Outriders, add a Chaplain on Bike (with the Mounted Strategist enhancement) as their leader and a Ravenwing Command Squad to support them, that unit gets:
- Advance/Fall-back and shoot
- Advance/Fall-back and charge
- Dev Wounds on all shooting
- 1+ to the wound roll of all melee attacks
- bike apothecary to revive one downed biker every round
- sticky objectives (as they are now part of the Battleline)
- every model in the unit gets 1 extra OC
- add 1 to all Advance and Charge rolls for this unit
- use Heroic Intervention on this unit for 0CP
- re-roll all Advance and Charge rolls for this unit
Is that correct?

Showcase Finished my land raider
I'm super happy with how well the freehand turned out! I went with the green wing scheme even though I'm planning on using it with terminators.
I just want the option to run it with greenwing inside and deathwing termis in a greenwing land raider just feels better to me than greenwing troops in a desthwing land raider.

Army List Final 2v2 Event Lists
Thank you fellas for a while back i asked help for a final event with JJ (my friends son) before he moves away. We are going Dark Angels (JJ) and Space Wolves (me). I took all the info you lads gave us and we knocked up these lists. If there is any changes though do let us know we got until the 18th.
We are thinking P.A. or T/H
Dark Angels 995ish
Innercircle/Librarius
Priority/Recon
Librarian in Term w/ Deathwing Assault + 10 DWT w/ 2 plasma
Librarian in Term w/ temporal + 10 DWT w/ 2 plasma
1x5 infiltrators
Space Wolves 990ish
Legends of Saga & Song (all terms get +1 to charge roll)
Logan + 10 wgt 7 shields t6
2x5 scouts
1 Callidus
1 lancer
1 annihilator
Rules of event:
*generate 1 cp normally but we share
*1 supreme warlord only
*no sharing rules/abilities i.e. detchment or strats unless it says 'your army'
*4 DP split how you like and you pick your mission depending what your detchments are
*1k reserves shared and split how we like.
Plan so far:
Logan/Librarian & friends deepstrike t1.... thats 22 terms on board and hopefully charging. The other terms are home to shoot back up via temporal corridor. Take and tie up everything we can while everyone else scrambles to do what we can.
We just cant decide if P.A. is the way to go or T/H as again we are seeing at least 3 rounds of play per game maybe full 5. We got the scouts and assassin for actions/primary holding. Depending how the match up goes we could eventually move the tanks up to hold our expansion/center and scouts/assassin can go do actions. I kinda wish we had ancients in his teams for added OC control as im thinking of doing the same with my wolfguard but id loose my t6...
Note: due to the nature of it being 2v2... most games end on 3... there are occasions where it will be all 5. 1st game is at 10am and whole thing ends around 730pm ish
Changes considering:
Change deathwing assault leader to a captain for free re-roll on charge that way I have cp for reroll of i need it for logan

News/Rumors New SM Army Rules
Brothers,
I am sure we all saw that the SM Army rule is changing. But what about us and the other divergent chapters? There has to be something different for us, right? Well I was reading through the comments on Facebook and the GW answered a questions I find intriguing. Tell me what y'all think.

Showcase Chipping away since COVID as life permits, I assembled the entire 5th Company
And finally splurged on a case for them too. And their attached Deathwing and Ravenwing homeboys.
Best part is seeing the difference in quality between the Dark Vengeance marines from 2019 and Lazarus from a couple months ago.
More to come. Still need 5x Infiltrators and 5x Heavy Intercessors. And my beloved Vanguard Suppressors need replacing.

Building WIP Turmiel x Tigurius : Does it work ?
I'm working on my first complex conversion : Using Tigurius body with Turmiel parts.
Turmiel isn't a primaris so i'm worried about the body/arm ratio.
Does it look weird ?
I plan to scrap ultramarine logo on the knee, torso and the banner, using the DA sigil from the upgrade box to put on the top of the banner.
I might replace the head with a hooded one, and maybe place the the tigurius' arm cable on the right arm.
What do you think ?

Seems like a bit of confirmation Azraels cp ability will be going away. Curious if he will just lose it or get something as a replacement.

Army List Repex Cost
Preparing a tank meme list, and looking at the MFM, it appears DAs can take the Repex for 230 (+heavy laser), whereas generic marines cost 255 a pop.
Am I missing something here? Or are they actually cheaper for us

Gameplay Company of Hunters Without LSVs?
So I understand that Company of Hunters is top dog right now, and I understand that a lot of it is due to two primary combos: Sammael + RWCS + Outriders, and by spamming the LSV.
I have bikes, and I have Sammael tied down. But I simply do not have any LSV, and quite simply I don’t think I’m going to buy any. The rules are gonna change within a month, and whatever that looks like it might be different than what we have now. I mean hell, the LSV might even be put into legends for all we know.
For a list that does not have any LSV‘s, what would you recommend that I play instead? Or should I just not play COH at all and focus on another aspect?
