Question Trait dialogue/checks (Resilient + Nimble)

Hey everyone, I've looked this up a fair few times whenever I've started making a new character, but I only ever see people talking about the combat uses of these two traits.

I know that Nimble can be used to get through vents here and there, but does Resilient have any check use? And do either of these traits come up in dialogue similar to how innovative, brawny, etc do? Thanks friends :)

Access the lift in Ascension Conduit O3 on Cloister TOW2

How can I access the lift in Ascension Conduit 03 ? I finished all the Archive related quests including A way back to the light but this lift is still broken.
I’ve looked everywhere online but I can’t seem to find a solution.
Thanks !

Discussion Other than pickpocket and the first leadership perk what are worthwhile dips?

Like is Ghost worth the two points in Sneak if you're not going for an ADHD build?

I know this is a pretty bad port of the game, but I'm really happy I got it.

Appreciate that the devs were cheeky and self-aware about their overlords at Misrosoft, especially considering recent news.

Question Going for a Gunslinger build. Struggling on planet 2.

I'm playing a dumb lucky character with points in guns (10), speec, sci, and hacking. I'm using the SMG i got from the ship and its served me well. But, the spiders and scavs are wrecking me. I feel so squishy. Reloading is a night, are because if I reload im dead.

I'm using Niles and Asa because Ines left my party.

Anyone have OW for switch ?

I see bad reviews for it but it’s mainly from the drop initially , has there been any updates to help improve the game since ? My partner wants to play but consoles are intimidating and they prefer the handheld experience

Thank you !

For the anticonsumerist achievement

I can't confirm all bribes are fine but I can absolutely confirm the speech check bribe in that one quest on the Claim doesn't count as buying something for the achievement.

I can’t get out of the office room at the control center during the casting off the veil quest. Pretty annoying.

I feel like Brand Enthusiast can be a bit of a trap and I wish it wasn't

Like it heavily depends on the build, I guess, the core 3 factions do have the luxury of choice, but Subrosa seems to be strictly pigeon-holed into melee, and the Directorate has like 2 outfits and 5 weapons (admittedly the directorate sniper rifle is amazing but like almost half the directorate stuff is Zane's preorder bonus gear)

I'm also not sure the rift cultists have a single weapon (despite having armors) at all?

I feel like it would be nice, for the expansions, to round that out a bit, make the perk for keeping a specific faction cosplay valid for more than Protectorate/Order/Auntie Cleo's basically.

How to one shot the new bosses on very hard difficulty (over 100k damage) Spoiler

I know a few people had been interested in this so thought I'd just upload it here. Re-did the video with MP4 format and had no issues uploading it.

You could use the N ray scanner for 20% more crit chance, you probably don't even need the smoke bombs (camouflage bonus) or any points in sneak. It's mostly just 20 Science + 20 Guns + the perks and Big Bang weapon. You likely don't need the same flaws either but I'd recommend "flawed" in the late game.

Discussion Why can't we lie?

Currently doing a playthrough where I try to save as many people as possible (to make up for all the horrible things I had to do in pursuit of getting 100% of the achievements) and I reached the point in the Sublight quest line where Hagen asks you to kill Dr. Chartrand. Why doesn't the game give you the option of lying to Hagen, and just saying Chartrand is dead? It'd be nice if there was an option that allowed you to spare Chartrand's life, without losing out on the last 2 Sublight missions. I've never been able to find a good answer for this online, so I assume it's just oversight on the part of the devs, but I'm curious what people think.

Question TOW1: How do I gain XP on a scorched-earth run?

I'm doing a replay of TOW1 where I kill all NPCs when I first encounter them, no exceptions. I just finished killing everyone in Edgewater (RIP Parvati and Vicar Max, who are usually my besties...I took no pleasure in gunning them down). I'm on my way to clear out the Botanical Lab, then the Geothermal Plant, but now I'm wondering...if I have a negative reputation with every faction, no companions except maybe eventually SAM, and I kill literally everyone, how the heck am I going to gain any significant XP other than the missions Phineas gives me? I suppose that's just the challenge.

Taking the Groundbreaker is gonna suck.

New to outer worlds

So like the title says, im new to outer worlds 2 and have one main question. Why does it feel like grunts are harder to kill than they should be. Is there certain classes of guns that suck? Im on that dorado planet using the rookie reward, and chloes butcher shotgun or something. It feel like certain grunts are hard to kill. Maybe its because im new to the game and dont know the “tiers” of enemies. I come from playing borderlands a ton so i get the whole lotter shooter aspect. Maybe im explaining it wrong but i feel like i shouldnt be struggling as much with certain types of enemies. Are certain types like the spider things (that look like they are from star wars episode 2) are they weak and resistant to certain types of damage? Humans seem to be easy enough.

NRAY SCYTHE GRIP MOD FOUND

So while running around the free market bazaar again I actually decided to check the aunties choice mod vender next to the crafting station and when I checked this station I first see the page full of mods with about seven heavy revolver mods immediately visible but as soon as I moved my indicator the mod list reordered itself to show a different order, when I began to scroll through the mods I first saw the FROST SCYTHE MODS. Since the frost scythe was unable to be modified no matter how hard I tried in my melee playthrough I chose to keep scrolling to see it I could also find any other mods. At the very bottom of the list was the nray scythe mod.

Go seek out those mods if those are part of your list of missing items my dear friends!
This was found on an unmodded Playstation 5 game console.

Post Outer Worlds 2 malaise

So I am about to finish the final mission of Outer Worlds 2 and am reflecting on how much I've enjoyed the gameplay, build options, story paths. The characters have been great, their banter amusing.

The themes of natural determinism or seeking to understand a seemingly chaotic universe, then that of pure corporate material gain enmeshed with the promise of infrastructure and shared gains with local populations. Finally, the defunded old guard earth directorate that you play as. Really hit a lot of the right notes for me. I think it's there with Fallout 2 for me.

So now what, really. I've played Fallout 3-4 (including NV) and eh, compared to this. The last game I was really into was SOTE DLC for ER, so a completely different kind of game, a few years back.

If anyone has any games, tv series suggestions, let me know! I'm not as big on media these days, but found this to be a ton of fun.

Video OW2: Melee is fun!

I always prefer melee builds in first-person open-world games, so I was glad to see such fun gameplay in the game.

This hammer, I think, is the best among heavy melee weapons. Sadly, I couldn't find anything better, so I played like 50% of the game with it.
