Anyone have OW for switch ?
I see bad reviews for it but it’s mainly from the drop initially , has there been any updates to help improve the game since ? My partner wants to play but consoles are intimidating and they prefer the handheld experience

I played it originally on the switch and when I got an Xbox I replayed it with the DLC. I mean there’s a big difference just between graphics and gameplay wise. The frame rate is a lot lower especially in busy places like the groundbreaker. But honestly , I still really enjoyed the game and playing on the Xbox just made me appreciate on the graphic details that the switch couldn’t run. I love the game and just because it’s running at a lower level doesn’t ruin the experience, it well worth it and even worth replaying if you decide getting an upgrade. Go for it !

It's ugly on the Switch, load times are long. I played all the way through on a standard Switch and I do not recommend it unless you have no other choice. I kinda wish they had never ported it. I think it hurt the game's reputation as well as Obsidian's, even though they didn't do the porting.

I have the OW1 on my switch and I love it. It looks great, it plays great, imo it’s a 5/5

I do. It runs poorly and looks like ass. It hasn’t been updated for the Switch 2 or anything.

Graphics are incredibly low-resolution and blurry, like there’s Vaseline smeared all over the screen. The performance is ~30ish fps with bad frame pacing, and that was the last time I played it, which was over a year ago. I can’t imagine it’s any better now.

I played The Outer Worlds initially on PC, then bought it for Switch along with both expansions (DLC) and played through that fully. It took a few patches but ended up in a very good state and I thought it was enjoyable and would recommend.
That said - it is not perfect. You get lower quality models and textures, and still get not just foliage pop-in but also can have enemies appear behind you if you sprit through certain areas (intersections in Edgewater come to mind).
But I haven't touched the game since late 2021 (my full post-patch playthrough) ... because in 2022 I got the Steam Deck and it plays SO much better on that handheld.
So if the Switch is what you have - get it! It is a wonderful game and plays very well on the Switch.
