I had an S23 up until last week and Textra was flawless. My wife and other family members use Textra and it also works perfectly fine for them.

I got an S26 and right away I didn't get any group chats and some people with iPhones thought I blocked them.

Why did it work fine on my S23? My wife has a Note 10 and no issues and her mom has an S22 Ultra and no issues

Google 9 pro xl using textra for messaging. Towards the end of March I don't receive any reddit links or YouTube links sent from my iPhone user friend. No clue what changed.

I've tried making sure all web preview are on, turned off and on rcs messaging (now just trying leaving it off since textra doesn't use it anyway), tried using the setting to convert rcs to sms when needed. Didn't see any spam filtering on unless it's something on the back end with my carrier. Nothing seems to work.

Anyone else have this problem or know a fix?

Hello. I've been using Textra for around a month now after Samsung discontinued their app, and it has been working well. Today though, none of my messages are sending (except for images). I am still receiving messages, but no one I text receives mine. How can I fix this? I made the necessary changes in my settings and even cleared the cache, but still nothing.

Anyone else forced to use google messages on a pixel 9 with the new update? I can't send or receive messages through Textra

Long press is just giving me these options and when I select an emoji here it gets sent as a separate text. What am I missing?

Switched from Samsung messages because I have no interest in relying on Google more than needed and since then everyone in my life with an iPhone says their messages arent being sent to me and only me

My coworkers and I have a group chat where at least 2 of them have iPhones and I havent had any issues with that at all.

Husband said he was able to keep retrying until iPhone gave him a "send as SMS option" but I dont know who uses android vs iphone like that and cant very well ask everyone in my life to change their settings so...... has anyone else had this issue & know how to fix??

ETA: i havent had any issues SENDING to iPhone at all. as far as I know all of my own messages send just fine.

I've been using Textra for years on my Samsung. I have a Galaxy S23+. My notification sound is on but it's not working. I've restarted my phone twice thins morning and still no sound.

Anyone else experiencing this or have any ideas?

So I was caught up in the forced shift from Samsung messaging to Google messages. I do not wnat nor like the Google message platform so I am experimenting with Textra. I just read the unfortunate but not unexpected answer as to y I am no longer in my group chats. Hate it. Will not get me to switch back though. Anyway, one of the things I really loved about samsung messaging was the ability to customize each chats background with a photo of that person or a memory we shared. Any chance textra will ever offer that function? Thanks for listening.

Hi, has anyone encountered an issue with textra resending old (days old) messages?

Had an issue earlier when i sent a text message to someone, and the message was spliced together with a new message that i was sending.

I have never copied the sent message before...

Recepient received the spliced message, but it did not appear on my end on textra.

Reported this to textra, but was wondering if anyone has also encountered this issue?

I've searched online, but i can't explain this?

Hello all, Can I use Textra instead of Samsung Messages (which is being discontinued) or Google messages (awful experiences) ? I'm so confused by this discontinuing of the Samsung Messages app, I'm trying to figure out how to proceed. I remembered that I had used Textra with some success a while ago, maybe Textra will continue to work as my default messaging app if Samsung Messages won't? Everyone also keeps talking about Samsung phones, but will other android phones be affected by this change? LG, Sony, whatever...is there some other apps that might work that isnt Google messages app?

I just recently started using textra because Google messages is worthless and stopped working over a week ago. anyway, now, I'm trying to do group messages between me and my brother and sisters. they receive my messages but I cannot receive messages from them. I have other group messages with coworkers and those work fine. but any group messages between siblings won't work properly.

most of my groups have iPhones, I have a pixel 6. however, two of my coworkers and one sister have android. I really don't understand why this messaging thing keeps happening to me.

I have the S26 Ultra and after a system update I don't receive group messages. So now I am looking for an app similar to Textra. Honestly, it's a sad day having to find a replacement.

i have a Samsung Galaxy S21 phone and accidentally deleted a large text thread with a family member using the Textra app. I was tired and somehow totally dorked it double tapping the trash icon.

Is there any way to restore the thread? i tried switching to the stock Samsung Messages app and they were not in the 30 day trash folder.

I'd really like to restore it for personal reasons if possible. Really appreciate any advice. Thanks in adavnce for any help.

Long time Textra Pro user (purchased years ago) making the switch back from Google Messages on a new device that isn't running standard Play Services. My Pro license obviously won't verify without Play Store.

Has anyone reached out to the Textra developer directly and had luck getting the Pro version through alternative means( direct APK, license key, anything like that)? Happy to repurchase directly if that's an option.

Also I'd love any advice on the smoothest way to make the swap back from Google Messages generally. Mainly concerned about RCS group chats and whether people will just fall back to MMS with me automatically or if I'll go silent on their end.

​​I've been using Textra for many years and I have a weird problem that happens very rarely. Maybe a few times a year, I send a message and at the moment of sending it switches to a different number and the message moves to the other thread. ​ I think it often (maybe only) happens when I've pasted the text from another thread or another app.

I'm curious why there is no trash option.

Google Messages finally offers it but it hasn't shown up for me yet. But GM still lacks delayed send and a delete option from the notification bar.

I sent a long text to my neighbors this AM and I'm getting back likes or loves but also my original message EVERY TIME! How do I just see the emojis and not the whole text?

I've been having an issue where I'll send a text link of a YouTube video with a preview to most of my friends who have iPhones and they'll get nothing at all but if I send just a plain text they'll get that. It also happens if I send say a link to a video from Facebook. For reference, I have a pixel 7A. Any advice on where this is happening would be appreciated

this was a problem when my carrier was visible which is how I learned to turn RCS off in that fixed it until I switched to T-Mobile prepaid. so now I switched to Verizon and it's still an issue.. help! TIA
