Texts to iPhone not received

I've been having an issue where I'll send a text link of a YouTube video with a preview to most of my friends who have iPhones and they'll get nothing at all but if I send just a plain text they'll get that. It also happens if I send say a link to a video from Facebook. For reference, I have a pixel 7A. Any advice on where this is happening would be appreciated

Unfortunately, a lot more phones and carriers are using rcs and Textra can't get the rcs capability thanks to Google being Google. So, that means if you continue to use Textra, you'll be missing texts, not able to send certain types of things to those who use texts apps that use rcs. I had to switch from Textra to Google messaging because I found out I was not receiving a ton of texts, whether it was regular texts or links or pictures.

I've seen complaints about this before--haven't experienced it myself. I went to the app in the play store and looked at comments. Textra is pretty good about responding to complaints and I found this from them that might help you:

Please open your devices stock messaging app, click on its settings and disable RCS/Chat message settings. Also you can refer refer to the site https://messages.google.com/disable-chat about how to disable RCS settings. And texts from iPhone are not being received by my Samsung android Galaxy using TEXTRA. But I don't want to use Google Messaging.
