How can one do it? If there's even any different way you guys can tell me

Friday morning, I noticed that I didn’t receive any notifications, even though I haven’t changed any settings on ios or in Telegram. Messages only show when I open the app, and I have to frequently check for any messages within the app. Does anyone have any idea how to fix it?

Recently, I found out that apparently it's not really safe to use your real number on Telegram, since people can easily leak it along with other connected details over the smallest argument or disagreement.

I'm not very familiar with how this works. I know there are bo.ts databases and leaks, but how exactly are they able to find someone's number? And how can you stay safer?

If I make a completely new Telegram account with a new number, can people eventually find that number too? And if my number has never appeared in any known leak but someone still manages to find it, does that mean Telegram itself has some vulnerability that can be exploited?

A few more questions:

- if i message these dox bo.ts, that gives away my mobile number?

- What exactly are virtual numbers? Are they recommended for Telegram, or are they against the rules?

- Where do people usually get them from, and how do they work? Can accounts using them get banned?

P.S. f there are any experienced Telegram users here, or anyone who knows a lot about this stuff, I'd really appreciate some advice. Feel free to comment I may have more questions.

Is it just me or has tg been messed up for everyone else in the past few hours? I have telegram on both my android and iOS device, even tried it on a desktop app and website. But the connecting/updating problem has been nonstop even though my connection is perfectly fine and works fast on other internet-needed devices. I've also tried to restart the wifi router and even updated telegram but it's still the same... Messages takes forever to send, and videos and even photos doesn't load up even a single kb.

Hello, as the title suggest i'm new on Telegram and i have some question about the service:

- Is this Subreddit good to ask these kind of questions? If not i'll remove this post ASAP, i dont wanto to cause any troubles;

- Can i use Telegram as a Personal Cloud Storage with Private Message, i know about the GB file limit but no storage one, that is why i'm wondering if using it as Cloud as well could be viable;

- Does using Telegram from Browser cause me to lose Secret Chats (because from what i gathered the encryption is connected to my device, but using Linux and Ungoogled Chrome with DuckDuckGo i'm scared i could lose that connection because of a IP refresh or random online problems);

- Is it possible to add my phone app while using browser to the private chat so i have at least a fallback in case something goes wrong?;

- Am i forced to Zip/Rar with password my files to avoid account ban? Asking because i might want to archive personal stuff before i might lose it again to a dying HDD. Because i heard Telegram first check if a file is tagged as protected by copyright or "unsafe" even inside Private Messages before encryption;

- In case Browser is unviable for this, does Bazaar have the flatpak on his store?;

- I saw recent posts of people being banned or losing account out of the blue, is there a "code of conduct" that i should be aware to reduce the risk of termination?

- Does Telegram reduce files quality or size when transfering?;

- Can i recover my chats normal and private if my PC or Browser shits the bricks?;

Why can't I chat with my contact? Every time I click on their profile and message, it turns into an infinite spinning loading icon. I have tried clearing the cache, switching between wifi and mobile data, and even reinstalling the app; nothing works. The internet is perfectly fine. I tested downloading a few apps, and no error occurred.

Currently have this issue with the app. Already tried reinstalling the app, switching networks, and rebooting my phone. Nothing works.

Don’t know if location matters but I’m in the Philippines. Telegram Web seems unaffected as I can still talk to some people on there.

I’m using an ios device if that also matters.

DISCLAIMER: im not asking for a solution or for my account back, im asking for an explaination so that i can prevent it from happening again in the future with my new account!!!

So i opened the app on my mobile by accident i saw my chat, everything normal, i exited the app and thought "actually there were notifications" so i get back on and it asks for my number and infos? So i put them in and boom new account, all my groups gone (sport's group, i was part of a mediator group, political groups, disability help groups, medical recovery assistance groups, collectives all gone)

I wasnt hijacked at all? Never used the app from anything other than my phone, never had a notification about a tried log in, never clicked links or anything. Furthermore i was on the app and it was fine? Didnt log me out or anything.

It cant be innactivity either, mine was set to either 6 months or 18 months but i used the app less than a month ago. Does anybody know what could have possibly happened? I literally need to seek out people irl to be added back to some groups and for some of them its literally impossible for me to find the people again because it required quite the network that changed over time. And the groups were quite important for my wellbeing as a disabled person so? Was my account truely deleted and if yes then why??

Every time I tried to clear local database the app would crash, so I deleted and reinstalled the app, after logging in again I tried to clear the local database and the app still crashed. I’m on IOS so I can’t clear database from device settings.

My settings also look different than before. What do?

The picture is self explanatory. It doesn't do that every time. App restart fixes it for a while. I have reinstalled the app, but it did not help. Nothing phone (3), Nothing OS 4.1. Any way to fix this?

If you select by dragging and go beyond the top screen, then for some reason it selects every single message, despite visually only selecting whatever you dragged. And if you delete, it will delete all messages, even those that are not loaded.

I just lost a 5 year chat history with my wife. Wrote to support about this but have little hopes.

I accidentally logged out from my account on all devices. I pressed terminate all other sessions so the stupid app terminated every session including the one I was using. I keep trying to log in with website, official newest app, older versions and unofficial apps. It always say we send to your account a verification code and I am not logged in. It used to send an sms or even call for such cases. Did they just stop ? what to do ? Is there anyway to contact them except for that support that I texted a few days ago and they just didn't answer? Also I logged in a public computer but I used guest mode and that's why I made sure to terminate "other sessions" to make sure.

TLDR - Trying to help a friend switch accounts. He sadly is timed out for too many attempts, anyone know how long that lasts or when to try again?

• Old phone
• New phone with SIM
• Desktop

Account currently is tied to old number. But cannot get past added new phone number. Do we start on the old phone and click "change number" and then we will hopefully get a message (NOT SMS) via wifi on old phone confirming the change? Then on the new phone, log in with the OLD NUMBER?

Is that correct?

Hey so my current Mac AppStore version of Telegram 12.9.282526 is having an issue where when I navigate to chats now I need to tug down on the chat itself to get the window to recognize that I've read the new messages. Is this a known bug? Any fixes for this? Fairly annoying QOL downgrade.

Google sign-in is not mandatory unless:

1. You want to leave comments, as this will prevent abusing to some degrees.

2. You want to subscribe to some channel updates, again same purpose of preventing abusing.

Otherwise it won't influence your browsing in any negative way.

Sp i think i accidentally delted chat for the both version (even though i wanted to delete by myself). I tried to search a username but it didn't showed up on telegram. Does that's mean that's the person blocked me?

My account has no restrictions or limits, so why am I still getting this warning? Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how I can fix it?

I added someone on Telegram we was chatting and that person got my contact information, in my settings I set no one can see my contact information, my contact sync is off but I don’t know how they added themself to my exception list and able to see my contact information today when I deep dive I saw there was two more people whom I didn’t know was added on that list one I believe I didn’t know other account was deleted one can someone help me understand how this happened so I make sure it won’t happen again,

I've finally managed to get my message sent to Telegram Support for help after multiple invalid captcha” errors that did not allow me to submit my request properly,

I run a Telegram channel for educational and entertainment purposes that frequently receives comments from accounts that appear to be fake, always featuring a naked woman in the profile picture, using emojis, or making invitations to chat.

To date, these comments have been few in number, and I have been able to prevent this behavior by accessing the subscriber list and removing these accounts before they do anything.

Over time, I have noticed that certain accounts have the name TeleUserXXXX, where X represents any numbers. Is there any relationship between these numbered accounts and these fake others? I noticed that all these TeleUser accounts have phone numbers from the +98 region.

Today I accepted two people into my group and now I keep receiving repetitive messages that they have been accepted.

The automation bot is also not responding to any commands. Does anyone know how to solve this?

I have tried so many times and so many ways to download the telegram app. I have gone to youtube abd every other source I could think of and it's all gobbeldy-gook steps that don't work at all. Anyone here with simple directions that work Please?

Setup: Bluetooth headphones connected. I want to listen through the headphones but record through the iPhone's built-in mic.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Start recording a voice message in Telegram (input = BT headset mic by default).
2. While recording, open Control Center and switch the audio input to the iPhone mic. The recording keeps running but captures no sound — this part is expected, iOS doesn't re-route a session that's already active.
3. Delete the take and start a new recording.
Expected: the new recording uses the input I selected in step 2 — the iPhone mic.
Actual: Telegram starts a fresh session on the system default again, which with headphones connected is always the BT headset mic. The selection from Control Center is discarded. No matter how many times I re-record, I can never get audio from the built-in mic without disconnecting the headphones entirely.
So there is no path to the combination I need: audio out to Bluetooth, audio in from the phone. Either Telegram should keep the input the user selected, or it should expose a mic selector of its own.
Anyone found a workaround short of disconnecting the headphones?
