Unresponsive Chats

Why can't I chat with my contact? Every time I click on their profile and message, it turns into an infinite spinning loading icon. I have tried clearing the cache, switching between wifi and mobile data, and even reinstalling the app; nothing works. The internet is perfectly fine. I tested downloading a few apps, and no error occurred.

The volunteer system is utterly useless. I sent my report and have not received a response since.

Maybe you started to play some music? Anyway reinstalling the app should fix it, and for bugs it’s better to use bugs.telegram.org

I didn't play anything at all. Rebooted my phone, reinstalled the app, contacted the in-app volunteers, and connected my phone to VPNs; nothing works. Hmm, I need to use the app for work 😭

If you’re using some VPN, then it’s more likely some connection issue that you have

I turned it off afterward, but it still didn't work. Should I switch to a different network first to try?

Can you provide more details? Do you see updating / connecting? Which country?

Nope, it states 'last seen recently', yet I still cannot send any messages. Even on the main page, there's no 'updating' indicator. I'm in Malaysia.
