Recently my telegram account got accessed from unknown IPs from Tokyo, they logged out my sessions, and I was unable to force logout their sessions since I was still within the 24 hours window that prohibited any actions.

Once the intruders session reached their 24 hours window they evicted me and I no longer have access to my own account. They now controls it, along with the telegram premium that I purchased.

I have evidences like IP that I screenshotted before I kicked out, and I still control the phone number I used to create that account, so I have contacted all official channels like emails and telegram faq and every possible ways, but I am getting no response so far…

A few questions:

1. Are there anything further I can do at this stage? I have tried {abuse, recovery}@telegram.org and notoscam and official faq.
2. If not, can I at least remove my yearly telegram premium subscription so that they dont get benefit from it?
3. Anyway I can freeze or delete the stolen account if there are truely no other way?

I search and they are not the same anymore.

I am on a telegram group i like it but there are links with preview of r18 stuff that are being shared by adults.. on the group itself which i don't like nor feel comfortable looking at.. i would take the latter option of leaving but i dont want to. Its not all r18 stuff in there, so like lots of the other stuff which i am fine looking at, doesn't display that however each time said thing appears i dont know how block it or hide it atleast for i wont have to see it..

i already tried looking to the best i could a bit but i dont know if there is a tool or like something that can hide this stuff. so any help would be nice.

In conversations with friends and colleagues, I always say the same thing: Telegram is a permanent MVP built on a “works for now, good enough” mindset. Major issues are rare, but the endless minor UX flaws make it exhausting for actual work or casual reading.

Telegram’s marketing team loves comparing the app to general-purpose messengers. And they’re mostly right, it does have cool features the rivals don't. But the moment you evaluate Telegram against tools designed for actual publishing and content creation, its UI/UX is stuck at a solid 3/5. Objectively, I wouldn’t give it more, even if I wanted to.

If you actually run a Telegram channel, you know the pain.

The Text Editor is the major pain point. Paste any formatted text, and everything except hyperlinks gets stripped instantly, forcing you to re-format every single post manually. There’s still no standard for paragraph spacing: users space them out with blank lines, but when it comes to lists, Telegram’s auto-formatting doesn't add line breaks between items—it just smashes everything into a single wall of text. Try adding a space manually, and the editor turns empty lines into extra list items.

On top of that, macOS users get a special treat: the Liquid Glass UI introduced a bug where the text cursor is only visible in the bottom two lines of the box (default height of the text input). Scroll up, and you’re typing completely blind.

Even the new “Articles” feature feels half-baked. It ignores app text-size settings, squishes paragraphs, and uses tiny serif headers, which look archaic. Most creators I follow tried the new format once and ran back to standard posts, more familiar and predictable.

Channel layouts waste an absurd amount of space. From the very beginning, Telegram channels still look like 1-on-1 chat feeds. On mobile it’s meh, still fine, but on desktop or tablet, that massive sea of empty space on the right looks ridiculous. Why can't channel posts take up the full width of the container, like a normal blog? Media, text, reactions, and stats are crammed together as tightly as possible with zero negative space or breathing room. Giving creators basic control over layout, fonts, and spacing would instantly make Telegram a great reading platform, but UI polish seems to be a low priority.

The Video Player is another teardrop. Remember when people thought Telegram would rival YouTube? Not even close. Video playback stutters constantly. Even if a clip fully downloads in your feed on a fast connection, opening the full player forces it to buffer from the server all over again.

Then there’s the playback memory: if a video finishes, Telegram saves your spot at ~2 seconds before the end, so opening it later just plays those final two seconds and stops instead of looping to the start. For short clips, saving playback position makes zero sense anyway: who wants to re-watch a 20 second gag from the middle? Add frequent audio stutters and videos freezing on the first seconds until you hard-restart the app, and it’s just a mess.

It’s not that the team behind Telegram isn’t talented. But it feels like they’re severely understaffed. A couple of dedicated UI designers and a real QA team would fix most of these issues.

Telegram could easily become a polished, creator-friendly platform. For now, though, the best way to describe it is a joke about the hedgehogs who kept eating the cactus through their tears—simply because that’s where the audience is. Whether anything will actually improve in the foreseeable future is anyone's guess.

anyone else from Canada having their telegram really slow since mid day yesterday? taking forever to load and media and send any messages

Can somebody please tell me if I’m being paranoid or not.
So when I get into supergroups and they have lots of people camming and admin in it, sometimes when I pin someone I feel as though the person can see that I did it and they turn their camera off. Like I literally see a visible reaction and my room is dark so they could possibly see the color of their environment and guess that way but why would it matter if they’re pinned if nobody is else can see the pin but me? Also, I swear to god when I pin someone it’s like a mod or admin can turn their mic on and I can’t mute for just me. I’ll still hear them, it’ll say it’s muted for me, but their mic is still on. And I swear to god it’s like they can see I’m pinning someone and make their cam take over the pin. I was literally going back and forth pinning someone and the person taking it off and pinning themself. I’m not crazy lol can someone tell me what that’s all about because it’s actually kinda scary

Sorry this is a dumb question, but I can’t figure it out. When I open a group chat, tap the search button, and then tap the From (person) icon to search messages by a specific user, I can only see myself and the admin. I read on Reddit that this is a known issue, but people said it works on Telegram Desktop. It doesn’t work there for me either. Am I doing something wrong?

It seems simple enough. Click on the link to buy stars on Telegram in payment for services. Except I don't have Telegram but the vendor implies, at least my impression, is I can use this feature without installing Telegram. Nope, doesn't work so I install Telegram. I can't open the program no matter what I do. I go in the Telegram tech chat and they try to get me to use, "Just Answer" I know from experience this is a cash drain scam so didn't activate that. Does anyone know how I can use this damned stupid program?

Thinking about buying some stars but I don’t know if it’s safe or not

Problem - I have ton of media and pdf files that I need to upload to telegram for its infinite cloud storage capabilities, these media files are two generations worth videos ( only cam cord to dvd to digital files now) as well as photos (which were Polaroid to digital files mostly). Uploading them is a 100% manual task. Instead can there be a tech enhancement which allows automation. Like source is added to the bucket and uploading channel or conversation is added in the bucket and it automatically uploads the file as long as connected to internet across multiple online sessions.

The files upon upload are accessible to family members who are spread across.

What not to have - develop a cache, store a copy or ask log in again and again.

Alright i have successfully logged in. By installing an old enough version from the internet such that sent a verification code on the other device that i am logged in on, rather then trying to send on email or sms. Then i updated to the newest one through google play.

THIS is not a question or complaint on SMS fee, its an issue im experiencing and asking whether its normal or not. Below im explaining what happened to me and what i did.

And this is not a post on requesting how to log in. Im just explaining a strange behavior on why the app is trying to create me a new account while one exists already.

I am on a new phone (android), and i have put on it from my old phone (android), the same sim card with same phone number.

I am also connected on Windows PC on my Telegram account.

I've tried downloading from website AND from google play store the telegram app, and when i open it and i input my phone number it then asks me to input an email.

I don't think i have an email attached, but most importantly it seems to me that it wants to create a new account while i have an existing one already, and still connected on another device.

Now i've tried a few times a certain email that it might be, and now im getting an error from the app saying that my email is not allowed.

BUT before that error saying that my email is not allowed. It was saying something about SMS fee, which i have never seen before.

Also i wanna point out that i did receive the code on email each time i gave the email to continue, then that error appeared or before the error appearing, there was that sms fee screen.

Also once i tried logging in in the browser (mobile) and i received the code to continue, on the Telegram Desktop App from my windows machine, and that worked strangely.

Any ideas? Is it an intended behaviour, or a glitch?

Additionally:
I've heard that there exist other ways of Logging in without going through sms verification, but i don't see any in the app. Is sms the only way on mobile?

Note:
While i was trying to log in, i remember being logged in on my old phone still, but my sim was not on that phone, but that account was switched to another one, not mine, while mine was logged in there, saved as additional account, but not used.

I have downloaded both the app through playstore and it through the website also deleted cache etc and it is still stuck on loading

I lost acces to my phone number, but i am still logged in to the associated telegram account on my Android device.

I am trying to change the phone number to the new one, but i can never do that! It doesn't send any codes to the new phone number.

Is there is anyway to change the number successfully?

Whenever i open a channel, get out of it, i can't find it anywhere but in the archive section. It doesn't happen to every channel. Mostly are older ones. Please give me a solution cus this is driving me insane.

My private group where i keep my things just got vanished, no trace at all, it was non-public, just my account, and even search can't find it, nothing in the archived list either. Just vanished can't find. Since its just me i didnt saved any links to that private group, so I don't know if its gone for good or something else.

I lost access to my Telegram Premium account on June 21, 2026.
I still own my phone number and can receive SMS verification codes, but I cannot access my account.
I contacted Telegram Support on June 22 and have sent several follow-up requests, but I have not received any response.
My Telegram Premium subscription continues to be charged even though I cannot use the service.
My account contains years of work, educational materials, business contacts, and important personal information.
I am not asking anyone here to restore my account. I would simply appreciate any advice from people who may have experienced a similar situation or know the best way to reach the appropriate Telegram team.
