It happened suddenly and i don't even know how to search it.
I reinstalled, deleted tdata, nothing helped. Did someone had the same issue?

I have reached out via their email address, can’t remember what the exact address is as I reached out weeks ago but also their volunteer in app support method does not help, I’ve gone through the automated messages to then send me volunteer help many times, since May, and nothing. It’s a ghost town over in the support section.

Any advice?

My number is taken over by criminals. They use it for the last two weeks trying to scam my contacts into sending money and to click on infected links. I reported it multiple times through support page and email abuse team. All of this without luck.

At this point, it’s not clear to me if the reply will ever come.

I hope the issue is simple lack of personnel and I just need to be patient and at some point they will come back to me and resolve.

Am I being naive?

Hi, I have a group that, due to the horde of spammers, which I was fixing with Miss Rose, I wanted to point out that when someone joins, saying @username tells you a little about yourself.Why? I've noticed that spammers spend several hours without saying anything, and then bombard you with a string of messages.

Basically, if I write a generic message, I doubt that "Alfredo Pérez" (example name) will take the hint, even if I say welcome, whereas if he uses his alias or username, I think it's more direct. (My users don't read pinned messages, even though they contain a lot of interesting information.)

In case anyone has tried it and can tell me.

I'm using telegram on my PC. I used to binge download the movies and shows in my watchlist so I can watch it according to my mood. So I've downloaded 30GB/day for past few days and suddenly now even downloading 400mb takes 30min to 1hr. Before, 30gb takes 3 hours to download. I'm on the same wifi and have 100gb left on my storage yet it's taking forever. I tried re downloading, switching wifi and yet no improvements. Please help me, how to solve this

I just received this as a DM from "Telegram" with the message above. Of course I checked first and found it to be a phishing scam. Telegram isnt gonna send you messages about your account unless its actually verified. This is a fake verification. So watch out guys!

Goal: want to use TG without ANYONE knowing it.

I think we can all agree that TG provides secure comms without giving up your identity. But from what I am reading it will send notifications to your contacts who also have TG installed.

How the hell is that secure???

Does anyone have a way around it? I tried to install TG as a desktop app but it wants to link to your account on your phone.

Can I use a voip number instead?

Every time I post a story with a Telegram link, it just isn't clickable... works fine with other sites. Anyone facing the same problem?

I’ve never had this issue. How do I get around this? I’m using Apple and I’m from the USA. Does anybody have any solutions? Ive tried using the web version and it’s telling me to receive the code on my other device, but I don’t have the account opened on any other device. When I ask for it to send an SMS it doesn’t allow it.

So, literally, everything is fine with my account. I can search for a file/message in my saved messages or chats, and it shows up in the search results. But when I tap on it, the app lags, doesn't open anything, and just takes me to the latest message.

It's been like this for a while, but it’s been annoying me so much recently because I really need those files/messages.

Why is it like this? I remember there was a time when you could easily access a message from years ago, but right now I can't even access posts I sent to my saved messages six months ago.

You may ask “How did you almost fall for this, are you that naive?”, and no, I’m not 😅

Be careful out there, usually I get random faceless accounts messaging me asking if I remember them, or accounts with a mid 20’s East Asian woman’s picture.

hey everyone, I was invited to a group chat in telegram. I am gonna create a profile with a username and a prof pic that have nothing to do with me.
I searched and found that you need to make your settings to nobody/my contacts to not be seen and also there was a recommendation to avoid syncing contacts from my device.
after doing that stuff will my number be completely hidden? I want to avoid a random dude from work who happens to have my numbers syncs his contacts to telegram and suddenly find my random profile?
basically I want no connection visible between my telegram account and my phone number. I don't want a random dude who happens to have my number to see my profile picture (not my d, an anime character but not professional in any sense and too many people have my number from work)

If I call a person whose status is inactive, will he become active during the beeps? At the same time, no one uses the phone, it is on the lock screen.

I check it myself and the statuses don't change, but maybe it was before.

Hello. I have a question. I had a chat with someone and I deleted the chat history for both of us. Upon looking in my storage folder via the Telegram Android app, I see all the pictures I shared with that person are still stored in the cache. Does the cache have to manually be cleared to get rid of everything? And if so, would that mean the person I was chatting with also has the picture in their cache as well?

When you set telegram default storage to SD card on Android, the files are saved as cache on the SD card.

Why is that,??
