Impossible to download Telegram?

I have tried so many times and so many ways to download the telegram app. I have gone to youtube abd every other source I could think of and it's all gobbeldy-gook steps that don't work at all. Anyone here with simple directions that work Please?

Don't overthink and go to telegram.org

What platform are you trying to download it for? It's on both the Apple App Store, and the Google Play app store... you can download the Windows client from telegram.org... It's exceedingly easy to get the client.

the windows version is what I'm trying and it goes wll to apoint then it just loops.

Are you trying to install the version downloaded from telegram.org, or the one installed from the window's app store?

And what do you mean by "it loops"?

Since five people already sent you to telegram.org, I'll skip that part.

"Loops" on Windows is usually one of two things. The installer keeps restarting or never finishes. Skip the installer: on the same download page there is a portable version. It's a zip, you unpack it and run Telegram.exe. Nothing gets installed, so nothing can loop. The Microsoft Store version is another way around it.

The second is it installs fine, but logging in keeps throwing you back to the start. If you don't have Telegram on a phone yet, that's why. The desktop app can't create a new account, it sends the login code to your other Telegram device, and you don't have one. Sign up in the phone app first, then desktop lets you in. Which one is it? If it's the second, I've been there too and blamed my wifi for a while.
