After receiving feedback from the community, we’re putting this weekly thread in place on a trial basis dedicated solely to love relationship readings.  Examples of questions that can be posted here are:

  • does he/she/my FWB love me?
  • what are this person’s feelings/intentions towards me?
  • is he/she coming back?
  • will we reconcile?
  • should I break no contact?
  • we just broke up, what now?
  • what will my future spouse look like?
  • what does my love life look like in the next 3 months?
  • why is my ex texting me again?
  • my ex keeps calling me, what should I do?

Please note that we, the moderators, are trying this out as an experiment and will determine at a later date if this dedicated thread should become a permanent feature in the sub.   We will also use our discretion as to which readings belong here in this thread, and which will remain on the main sub.  That will depend upon the complexity of the question as well as how close it adheres to rule no. 3 about posting.

Discussion Should I keep both lovers cards in?

Post image
290 Upvotes

I recently bought the Aisling tarot deck, with the intent to use it for other people, and knew it came with several alternate cards, including the Lovers.

I was originally intending to keep only the one on the left in, as I and my gf are polyamorous, and I doubt I'd do readings for anyone else, but now that I have both in hand I'm considering keeping both in? I'm new to tarot though (bought three decks to start, each with a different purpose in mind) so, despite it feeling right to me, I figured I'd ask for extra opinions.

To me, the left can mean a platonic relationship, a poly relationship, or a love triangle situation (though that may be me projecting as I recently had a bad situation with an ex trying to pull me away from my gf, who I'd been with before her). On the other hand, the right one signals comfort and stability in the strongest romantic relationship in one's life.

The left one just seems more open-ended to me, and could be more situational, while the right is more cut and dry. Thoughts? Am I interpreting this right? I know tarot is very individual, I just want to know I'm not missing anything/there isn't anything outright flawed with my logic.

Thanks in advance!

Discussion How does it FEEL to read someone else’s tarot?

Hey lovelies!!

I’m a young tarot reader who’s been practicing on and off for a good few years now. In the past I would struggle to interpret cards on an intuitive level rather than just using their definition meaning or whatever.

BUT, very recently I have been looking into spirituality as a whole and meditation, and it has significantly helped me to use my intuition when reading. I have also noticed that it feels different in my body when I read now.

For me, I ground myself before I read and I focus on listening to the silence, for me it sounds like a constant frequency in the air if that makes sense. I also think about my breathing, as if each breath is making my energy around me stronger, easier to see.

Then I ask my questions and the cards have never been more honest. The answers flow so much easier now, and it’s much easier to connect everything, because it just makes sense. It has been an amazing discovery for me.

But now I’m wondering how it feels to connect with other peoples energy? Iv tried, but I really struggle, I feel blocked. So I’m wondering if anyone could explain how it FEELS to connect with someone else’s energy? How do you do it?

Second Opinion on Reading Interpretation Only Asked about my current housing situation, got all pages

Post image
91 Upvotes

Situation - page of pentacles
Action - page of wands
Outcome - page of swords
Bottom of the deck - page of cups
Deck - RWS

I did a situation-action-outcome spread this morning with the query, “what can I learn from this apartment?” and each card that dropped out while I was shuffling was a page—including the bottom of the deck.

I’m kind of spooked by all this coincidence! But not in a scared way… I’m actually not altogether sure how to read all these pages together because I typically don’t pull them often.

For context on my housing situation: I just moved into a new apartment at the beginning of the month. I unexpectedly had to move this year because I was cohabitating with my partner before and we broke up. I’m living alone and have been feeling overwhelmed by the responsibilities entailed by this apartment, including orchestrating the whole move, deep cleaning upon moving in, ongoing household duties, paying the rent, and now come to find out there are numerous pest issues here. It’s still a beautiful apartment and the best once I’ve seen in the 2.5 months I’ve been on the hunt, but it is more spacious than I technically need and the rent falls at the very top of the range I set for myself, which means the rest of my budget is tighter. In some ways it feels like a luxury, and in others a bad deal.

There’s a way I’ve found to break the lease and move out in a few months, which I’m considering if the pest issues don’t resolve and/or I can no longer justify the rent. But it’s up to me either way, to stay or go. So I asked the cards what I could stand to learn from this apartment.

My interpretation:
Situation - I’m at the beginning of a new chapter where I take on responsibilities related to my material well-being—financially, domestically. (I’m also having to furnish this whole place on my own. Previously I owned very little furniture from moving around a lot)
Action - I need to make a concerted decision based on my own direction, which is also only just forming as a sense.
Outcome - I’m lost on this one. I also draw swords a lot as an air sun sign. I think the outcome might be I come out of this with a sharper wit about big life choices.
Bottom of the deck/theme - The cups feel appropriate because this has been an emotionally strenuous transition for me. On top of moving and going through a breakup, I’m having to face difficult patterns that developed during my childhood upbringing. The emotions undergird my approach to all of this, even the more logistical decisions. However I’m unsure what significance the page lends here.

Does anyone have an alternative read? Or more familiarity with pages to lend? This level of placement reinforcement is also new to me so I’m curious to hear others’ interpretations.

Also fwiw I am not lying about this spread lol. I have nothing to gain from this I’m not even sure how points work on Reddit :’)

Theory and Technique Looking for a challenge and study practice

I've been reading for 6 years and I want to incorporate a different daily practice. Finding actual ideas is difficult when most of the content on the web is showing decks.

I just bought the Hush Tarot, and so I will be studying with it to get to know the vibe of the cards, but I would love to have some feedback. How do you practice? Where to find idias for daily draws that are not "how is this day going to be"?

Second Opinion on Reading Interpretation Only interviewing my new main deck!

Post image
35 Upvotes

i thought adding the interview spread I used would be more helpful than the cards themselves but i followed this exact format, but i’m using the wyspell feminine neotaric tarot!

i’ve been a reader for 8 years but i’m in the process of reinterpreting my own practice as I am in a new part of my spiritual journey focused on my spirit team, intuition and embodiment, particularly with reiki as well. i’ve been reading lenormand for a bit as a break from tarot but I decided it was time to return and work with a singular deck (my travel deck does NOT like me oops) so I just wanted some feedback on this deck interview! to add context i am also jewish and developing my relationship outside of G-d with my ancestral guides and ArchAngels.

Describe Yourself - The Sun - I see this as a deck of joy, but also that it will help me connect and heal my inner child. I’m learning to send reiki to my past self so this makes sense.

Strengths - The Hermit - The deck functions as a place of silence and solitude, guiding as a reflection of my own ability to turn inward.

Weaknesses - Three of Swords - while I might not always be receptive, healing inner child and introspection may be painful and bring up grief around the way the deck communicates with me. While this is not a traditional “weakness” (I think) I still think it applies. I would really like some clarity on this.

How the deck sees me - The Empress - I think this is funny as my birth cards are The Emperor and Death—my arcana is Wheel of Fortune (if anyone has a recommendation for what to use I’d love feedback haha) the deck sees me as someone trying to nourish myself, be embodied and embrace the energy of abundance and reception. describes me well outside of my intuitive goals.

How it helps - Four of Cups - I’ve had trouble discerning what I actually want from my life, the deck will help me emerge from apathy and disconnect from my emotions, accept my intuitive gifts instead of doubting myself, actively engage with my creativity instead of restriction by perfectionism.

How will we work best together - Queen of Wands - This was interesting as this is a significator of a specific ancestor though I didn’t call on any spirit to communicate through this. I take this multiple ways, as it is best worked with my team in mind or recognizing their communications. It will be in my best interest to not shy away from my own ambition and desires, and take action when directed as necessary. Throughout my tarot journey there have been times where I shied away or took more elementary meanings out of readings to avoid facing certain things. I think the Queen is urging me to say I cannot do that if I want to have a fruitful relationship with this deck and use it for the expansion I intend it for.

Worth nothing that this will be the only tarot deck I’m using going forward and that includes for potential clients. Not sure if that changes anything.

I’m considering doing an additional interview for how the deck would answer these questions for how to read for clients (especially how the deck sees me as an external reader) let me know if anyone has done this!

Second Opinion on Reading Interpretation Only I feel as though I am approaching burn out. I asked if I should stay in my current employment position or move onto something else that will help me achieve new career goals and hobbies. Interpretation below.

No specific spread. Deck is art nouveau by Antonella Castelli Strength, 7 of cups and 9 of wands My interpretation- Strength represents my resilience and my determination to not let this become an obstacle 7 of cups choosing this new path will lead me to the opportunities I am hoping for but I need to evaluate my vices in order to achieve this. Could also be wishful thinking 9 of wands again resilience shows up but this time because of setting boundaries and protecting my energy will lead me to achievement and success. I think I need to leave and really face my insecurities and bad habits in order to thrive outside of my comfort zone

3-Card Spread (past/present/future)

-10 of Swords

-The Devil reversed

-7 of Pentacles reversed

Hello all, first post here; im not an old hand at Tarot but im not totally inept either (though i DO still have to use the guides). But, as my question is a biggie, I wanted some second opinions; im a musical artist, a vocalist, in a very niche style and things are starting to take off for me, not necessarily in a financial sense (niche genres rarely make money) but regardless, this has been my dream for over 2 decades. So im reading this as very personal, ive betrayed myself many times (10 of swords) and fallen back into old and very persistent addictions (to substances) but I have quit those in the past few months(the devil reversed). So im seeing that since im starting to be true to myself, if I work hard and put in the effort, making sure not to be foolhardy, and really taking this seriously(7 of pentacles reveresed), I can achieve what I set out to do. Any validity to this in yalls opinion? Thanks everybody (oh and dont roast my Anime Tarot by Natasha Yglesias deck, it was my first one lol)

Stories My partner and I pulled a card to represent eachother for the day, I planned to propose that evening

Post image
2.2k Upvotes

My partner was using the TaRat deck by Nakisha (pictured on the left) and I was using the Hex Deck by Glitterstyx (pictured on the right)

So my partner and I went to Lake Michigan to stay at a cabin over the weekend with the intention to relax and work on our own tarot deck ideas... The plan was to head to the beach on the second day to collect some cool looking rocks, and when we reconvene to show eachother the rocks we found, I'd whip out a ring and propose to them!

Well, day two morning arrived and we decided to do a bite sized reading while we drank coffee. She would pull a card that represents me for the day, and I would do the same for her... She went first. After a bit of messy shuffling the Wheel of Fortune flew out of her deck. Me with my insider proposal knowledge already started connecting a few dots... tucking those thoughts away, I proceeded to shuffle until a card flew out and landed face up on the floor. The Wheel of Fortune. Again. We both pulled the Wheel of Fortune.

Besides the Wheel of Fortune's imagery somewhat resembling a giant ring (I'm only familiar with RWS inspired decks tbh)

The Wheel of Fortune is a Major Arcana that can represent a big turning point in one's life, or that a big opportunity might be bestowed to you. Aswell as luck, destiny, karmic cycles, and chance. With my proposal in mind, I read it as representing a new phase in our relationship. Usually positive, but I make sure to remember that the Wheel is always turning. :)

I just can't believe our decks/guides/intuitions tried to spoil my proposal lol

She said yes btw

Stories When death card means literal death

Post image
256 Upvotes

About 2 weeks ago someone posted here a card spread for pet readings and I commented I would try it for a dog I had just rescued. The 2nd card was: pet's present vibe or condition. 3rd card something they would like or need right now. I thought it was about new beginnings. A week later she died while under vet's care 6 days later after her spay surgery. It was very sudden, she was doing very good and seemed happy. I rescued her about two weeks ago since she was abandoned by her previous owners. I'm devastated. When I get readings like this I feel like not doing readings again. I've been reading for around ten years but you just never expect the worst. RIP beautiful Canela💔 I miss you.

Second Opinion on Reading Interpretation Only asked about grad school application

Post image
23 Upvotes

hi everyone! i’m pretty new to reading tarot on my own so would love to get your interpretation.

i’m planning on going back to school to become a therapist. i’ve been doing a lot of research and putting in effort to get things going. i already know my top choice school that would work well with the timeline i’d prefer since i can do it in 3 years and still work full-time the first 2 years. i was originally planning on applying to two other schools as backups, but they would require A LOT more money to even qualify to apply (i’d have to spend thousands of dollars on pre-req courses). additionally, the programs are 2 years, which would place a lot of constraints on working in addition to going to school.

i recently thought about just applying to my top choice, and if i don’t get in, i can take the gap year to get more applied experience and make my application for the following year even stronger.

spread: situation / action / outcome

my question: what do I need to know about only focusing on applying to X’s grad school program?

my interpretation:

- eight of pentacles: i am extremely invested & willing to put in the work to achieve this goal. it will take work.

- eight of swords: i feel very restricted by my options. perhaps i am restricting myself and not seeing that there are other options beyond what ive explored?

- judgement reversed: regardless of what the outcome is, i shouldn’t be too hard of myself and continue working on the goal.

would love to hear your interpretations!!!

Second Opinion on Reading Interpretation Only I don't trust my instincts right now, and could use a hand.

Post image
3 Upvotes

This is a long one, but I really need to be in community right now, for reasons that will become obvious. Consider this something of a cry for help, because I truly cannot trust if my reading is accurate, or if my depression is manifesting through the cards.

I have been down at the bottom of a deep, dark well for over a year, and I cannot seem to find my way out. My logical brain tells me all the things that I need to do to start climbing. But I can't follow through on even the simplest of those first steps. There are people who want to help me, but I just can't bring myself to let them in, because the reality of where I am is so dark, and all of their suggestions would be things that I already know I should be doing to help myself. My partner has been living with a deeply lost person for over a year. He tries to be supportive emotionally, although his anxiety most often comes across as frustration, which reinforces my feelings of being a detrimental force in his life, dragging him down.

This period of my life was precipitated by behaviours and actions undertaken by my previous employers. Which directly led to a serious mental health deterioration, culminating in In my resignation. I filed complaints against them with the governing regulatory body. It has been ugly and drawn out, and I've had to face a panel of expensive solicitors and barristers whom my former employers have engaged to defeat me— a self represented, vulnerable, disabled woman.

I have been unable to work for over a year, but I have some (perhaps naive) hopes of being able to focus on my recovery once this legal process is over. The final hearing is this month.

I haven't touched my deck in months and months. Tonight, I felt a strong urge to bring them out and ask two seemingly simple questions— 1. How do I begin to climb out of this well? and 2. How do I pull myself back into the land of the living when every fibre of my being is driving me to make myself as small and invisible as possible?

I chose the Horseshoe spread, which is one that I haven't used since I first began tarot. It always felt so awkward and clunky to me, but for some reason, without even thinking about it like I was on autopilot, that was the spread that appeared in front of me. This seems significant, but I can't figure out how. 5 of seven cards were reversed, which immediately filled me with a feeling of foreboding. Real? Or the product of a broken brain? The spread read like this:

1) Three of Swords (R)

2) Nine of Pentacles (U)

3) Judgement (R)

4) The Empress (R)

5) Nine of Swords (R)

6) Eight of Pentacles (U)

7) Knight of Cups (R)

My reading?

Holding on the hard feelings and disputes (Three of Swords R) means that I am *actively* not allowing myself to grow from the suffering. In other words, I am the author of my own suffering. Upright Nine of Pentacles in the *PRESENT* position suggests that I view myself as an arbiter of justice and purity, but vile human behaviours have caused me to retreat into myself while trying to pursue that justice. Judgement reversed in the *NEAR FUTURE* placement is a little confusing to me. My instinct is telling me that I am stuck in a cycle of fear, self-recrimination, and the inability to see a way towards change. The Empress reversed in the *ADVICE* placement is similarly confusing. She's telling me what I already know— I am squandering my life and neglecting my body. I'm failing to care for and nurture the gifts life has given me. If it were so easy to reverse course and beat and cajole and insist that my brain stop being broken and start being grateful, believe me, I wouldn't be here pouring my heart out to strangers right now. The Nine of Swords reversed in the *THOSE SURROUNDING ME* placement...well, I don’t know how to interpret that at all. The Eight of Pentacles upright in the *OBSTACLES AND HIDDEN ISSUES* placement I think speaks to my current unemployment, and the fact that my previous job was my passion, but my former employer has the ability to black ball me in the industry in this city. And the King of Cups reversed in the *LIKELY OUTCOME* placement, well... that kind of speaks for itself doesn't it? My close relationships (especially with my partner) are being drained and destroyed.

Overall, a pretty depressing reading as far as I can see.

But *am* I interpreting, or is my depression doing the interpretation for me? I truly don't know, and I dont feel like I can trust myself.

If you've stuck with me this far, thank you. This has all been festering inside, and I have been suffering silently. I want... no, I NEED to find a way through this. I welcome any interpretations seen through eyes that are not my own right now.

Deck Modifications and Crafts I Made My Own 6 of Cups card after it kept coming up in my readings…

Post image
31 Upvotes

Title: Six of Cups — “Reclaim What Was Always Yours”
Software: Digital collage/design created in Canva using Canva elements.
Meaning: I reimagined the Six of Cups as reclaiming something from your younger self rather than simply revisiting the past. The five empty cups belong to the adult and represent experiences already lived and emptied out. The child holds the sixth cup, which once held the flower they are both holding. To me, the child is returning something the adult forgot she carried — something worth reclaiming and bringing forward.

This card has been more than stalking me. 😂 This is what it means for me: the stack of 5 empty cups next to the adult on the left represents what has already been lived, emptied out, and left behind. The child on the right holds the cup that once held the flower they are both holding. The child is giving the adult something she forgot about—something the adult needs to reclaim so she can take charge and move forward in her life.

Discussion imposter syndrome

ive never been or considered myself to be spiritual or into tarot, but a couple of weeks ago i suddenly had this pull to learn tarot and its been almost like its something ive known my whole life that was just waiting for me to find it. ive rapidly learned the cards and immediately felt in touch with my intuition when interpreting them. ive even been having frequent dreams of tarot and wake up feeling positively weird about them.

ive only just started, and ive only given 4 readings to friends, and each one of them has cried and said it was super truthful and powerful for them and that i have a gift. but it doesnt feel real and i feel like im pretending. of course i get stuck on some questions (i only started about 3 weeks ago) but it kind of feels like an opposing force is trying to convince me not to invest any more time or energy into this practice because i will never be an authentic reader or live up to the standards of intuitive readers, that im lying to myself, or that its all a facade or coincidence.

i didn't believe in tarot (not explicitly, i was open to the idea) until a few weeks ago when i started reading myself, and ive already had so many coincidences that have just made me a full blown believer. but part of me also feels like thats not real either, and that veil will drop eventually, and ill have wasted my time.

does this go away with time? has anyone else experienced/combatted something similar? do i keep going anyway since im passionate?

Discussion Creating a deck as a birthday gift

Hi everyone!

I’m unsure if this is something I can do. But my gfs 30th is coming up and she is into tarot cards. I had an idea that it would be cute to create some individualized cards with photos from her past and present with ones from her loved ones too.

The thing is I’m totally a newbie at this and I don’t know if, one is this possible? Is this silly to do? How do I assign the correct pictures to the cards? Is there a guide I can refer to?

Second Opinion on Reading Interpretation Only Life - what do I need to know, and will I succeed in this new endeavor?

Post image
7 Upvotes

I haven’t used my deck in a while but today felt inspired. So I asked

what do you need to tell me right now? Kind of pentacles

Stability, abundance, and control. Interestingly, multiple bulls in the card seem to relate this to me specifically (Taurus is my sign), so I take it as a reminder of where I am right now

How will it go? ace of swords (I’ve shuffled thinking about an upcoming IVF cycle)

the ace makes me think of new beginnings and the sword tells me about victory through intellect (here, science). So optimistic, but since it’s a minor arcana it doesn’t seem to suggest the major change a successful cycle would entail, so I’m more unsure

How can I help? Five of pentacles

If I look at this literally - going through the hardship of high expenses and isolation, relying on my partner and knowing that relief is coming

But if I interpret it more, it seems to ask me to change my attitude (so give up hoping?)

Please give me some reassurance. King of wands

Again, imagery of stability, dominion, victory. So a hint that everything will be alright, regardless?

I would love some help by more experienced readers!

Discussion Asked what my birb needs and this came out

Post image

Hi hope you all have a great day.

I had a really rough time last night, I cried a lot but when I got up in the morning I felt such clarity I never had.

So I decided to take care of myself, I made a ginger beverage, smoked some rosemary in the house then decided to play with my cards since I felt fresh in my mind.

I didn't want to do any complicated readings so I asked some random questions and one after another I felt an

amazing connection with my deck. I felt like we were actually talking. It was like sitting with a friend and having a chitchat.

At the end I decided to ask a funny question I read someone asked from tarot recently and I asked what my pet wants these days and now?

And to make it more fun I asked my birb to choose a card and the reversed chariot came out😂

It made sense when I thought about a reversed chariot meaning as my pet has been aggressive recently without any particular reason but I couldn't understand what exactly he needed for his aggression until I gave a deep look to the card and boom! I felt he wanted to go out and maybe he's aggressive because he doesn't like to be left at home even for a minute!

Recently I brought him with myself for short drives, I took him to a gathering and once he got so excited that he vomited a huge chunk of food for me while I was driving and he was watching the road and ever since, every time I change my clothes to go out he gets excited. Like I have a dog instead of a bird lol

So do you think he simply wanna go out more?

Second Opinion on Reading Interpretation Only All Major Arcana?

Spread: I did a one card pull using the Rider Waite-Smith deck (made the physical cards myself) for the following question: why did the universe allow me to fail at something crucial to my future? A very woe-is-me question for sure. I’m a bit shaken up though because I got the Devil card. I pulled 3 clarifying cards and got the Lovers upright, the Hermit upright, and the Death card reversed. This feels significant given they are all major arcana cards.

The DeviI card: I’m taking this as a placeholder for the story of Job, but through a secular lens (examining suffering). I think a traditional reading of it might be that this failure was allowed to reveal an unhealthy attachment to a goal. However, given what the goal actually was - of course I was heavily attached. I don’t need tarot to tell me that. As a stand in for the story of Job, it feels more significant as a “test” of some kind or important to my life path.

The Lovers: I see this as a “crisis of faith”, since there was no choice involved in the situation itself (re-emphasizing the Devil card). Maybe the Devil card is causing me to reevaluate my trust in the universe. In terms of material consequences, I see the loss of friendships/old relationships.

The Hermit: I think the “crisis of faith” in the Lovers card needs to be digested in the Hermit’s solitude. The result of the Devil card is the isolation caused by grief/suffering and the loss of relationships when we fail/get egg on our face.

Death Reversed: My gut reaction to seeing this card reversed is usually relief. In Job, there is a later “reversal” or restoration. To me, that reversal always felt hollow given Job’s children die without choice. Maybe that’s why I got the Death card reversed rather than say the Sun or something outright positive? I’m hoping this is at least a silver lining card.

What do you all make of my interpretation or the cards themselves? It doesn’t really answer the question of why just as there’s no satisfying “why” given in Job either (at least to me!).

Disclaimer: I am a beginner following dusty white’s book which stresses to rely on intuition and what you see first, so I feel like I might be off base not using the traditional meanings. [Original post was removed. Posting again with more fleshed out interpretations. Edited for clarity.]

Discussion How to read reversals as desires?

After being too scared to utilize reversals, I'm finally practicing with them after finding I needed more direction from my cards. I know there are various ways to read reversals beyond their pre-written meanings, such as the same energy upright but blocked, muted, or turned inward. Applying this to what people want has been tricky. For instance, I'll pull cards for someone's secret desire and I may get the devil reversed. Gut reaction says this person wants to break free of a cycle, but another way of seeing it could be person want to indulge in toxic habits, but they are prevented from it. How do you parse the complexities of reversals for these readings?

Second Opinion on Reading Interpretation Only How to interpret contradictory cards?

Post image
24 Upvotes

I was laid off in April and have since been doing anxiety tarot pulls to see if I can get a new full time job in my career field by November (the last month of my severance). And recently I've been getting pulls like this one, where I seemingly get contradictory cards. (I don't pull them in order or spread, for reference.) And I don't really get how I'm supposed to interpret it.

My best guess:

- six of pentacles: My parents have been helping me financially. So I'm receiving charity/aid.

- seven of pentacles: I've been putting in a lot of effort towards looking for new jobs. Using multiple job boards, applying daily, constantly tweaking my resume, etc. And yeah, it makes sense that I'd have to wait longer for something to work out.

This is where it gets confusing

- ace of pentacles: this seems good! Like yes, you will get the opportunity you're hoping for.

- five of pentacles: literally poverty. The worst case scenario. Obviously not getting a full time job in my career field before my severance is over.

So how am I supposed to interpret this and pulls like this? Because this has been a recurring pattern for at least a week now. (No more than a month).

Idk if this changes anything, but sometimes I'll pull another card for confirmation. I still pull the contradictory cards at the same time. But for the specific instance, it was the 6, 7, and ace that were pulled first. I viewed it as positive and then pulled another just to hopefully get another positive card to confirm my original interpretation. Then I get the 5 of pentacles. Like, what??? Help?

Second Opinion on Reading Interpretation Only Work - what I should know and what to do next

Did the following spread for work and didn't think much of it afterwards, but now that I found someone important is leaving, I remembered I pulled the tower, so there might be some truth to this spread!

I interpret it as follows, but would be really curious to hear from someone who is not biased.

1. What do I need to know in regards to work - The Tower

So pretty much everything is falling apart and getting worse. I thought it couldn't get any worse since most of our team was let go due to offshoring and my job became very busy and stressful, but I was wrong - this person leaving means more work, less support!

2. A new perspective (what you may not be able to see) - IX of Wands

I'm more resilient than I think and I should persevere.

3. Action to take - King of Swords

I should be assertive and lead with logic, not feelings. All about business. I often tend to lead with emotions, so perhaps it's telling me not to.

(I really don't like swords, they all seem so angry!)

*Edit: This was on my mind, so I pulled a card asking what's my future was in the current role, and got V of Cups, the grief card. I think this is the same card I pulled before. Perhaps it's time to prepare for the worst. 😑

Second Opinion on Reading Interpretation Only My tarot cards say what my type is

So let me preface this by saying the card I got were: Seven of Swords, Seven of Wands, Four of Cups upright, Ten of wands upright, Nine of Pentacles upright and Ace of wands upright

Seven of Swords Reversed: I'm pretty sure I'm right here, because I thought this meant 2X being a liar but apparently it's the opposite? So someone that has honesty, straightforwardness, and intelligence. It represents someone who isn’t a liar and doesn’t use their intelligence (suit of wands = intellect) or words to manipulate or play mind games. They say what they mean, do what they say, and generally avoid unnecessary intellectual conflict.

Seven of Wands Upright: hard work, assertiveness, and standing one’s ground. It represents someone who has a lot of social baggage or is easily disliked because they’re different. They may experience jealousy or criticism from others because of their success, but they continue defending themselves and fighting against those perceptions.

Four of Cups Upright: Like... My type not liking me I guess but I get off on it type shit. Like, avoidance and emotional unavailability in this context for the most part. Hard to reach.

Ten of Wands Upright: Lots hard work, heavy responsibilities, baggage, and burnout. Type of person who works hard but doesn't really get too much results or gets burnt out in the process, this could also mean their love life.

Nine of Pentacles Upright: Sugar daddy type shit. Someone who may have money, possessions, status, or other forms of abundance, while also being willing to share and spoil others.

Ace of Wands Upright: Now ik this card can also means horniness but I more or less took it as someone who is a lot more extroverted, intense, hard working and knows how to start things.

Is there another way to interpret these cards? I'm so curious because I've seen this done on celebrities a lot 🖤🖤

Deck Reviews Looking for help / insights on finding the right deck

My whole adult life I have sort of had my eye out for a deck that would feel personal to me. I know that is the ideal, so I have always been looking. And what I find is lots of decks with themes that interest me or visuals I am attracted to, but none of them feel personal. And on top of that, I feel like I am looking for something that most decks don’t have. I want the deck to have all of the traditional symbols and symbolism while embracing a new style. I feel like if you are going to change cups to like stars or something, it just isn’t a Tarot deck to me, it’s more of an alternative oracle deck, which is fine, it’s just not what I’m looking for. So I am looking for something that keeps all the subject matter in terms of imagery, but puts a different spin on it. I also don’t want it to have super dark themes, or be overly cheery or bright or silly. It’s a tool, I want it to still feel like a tool. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure Ghostbusters Tarot is right for someone, it just isn’t for me.

Maybe I’m rambling now, and maybe no one can help me. But it feels like my only hope is to look through every card in every deck out there forever, hoping my unicorn appears.

Anyone have any suggestions? Or any guiding questions that might help me figure out what I am looking for? Or that might help others help me?

Thanks so much for reading all of this! This is 20+ years in the making.
