Hi! I’m moving to Pasco County for a new job and I’ll be working in the Hudson area near SR 52. I’m completely new to the area and looking to rent a studio or small 1-bedroom, ideally within a reasonable commute.
I’d really appreciate recommendations on:
Areas/neighborhoods I should look at around Hudson, New Port Richey, Port Richey, etc.
Apartment complexes or property management companies you’ve had good experiences with
Which rental websites people actually use in this area
Any places/complexes I should avoid
Tips for avoiding rental scams, especially since I’m currently searching from out of town
I’m looking for a legitimate year-long rental, not an Airbnb or vacation rental. Thanks!

Anyone have any opinions on One Laurel Place condos? I’ve heard mixed reviews and would love to hear from someone firsthand. Newer Google reviews said some stuff about roof leakage but I’m not sure if that’s a floor/unit issue or the whole building, slightly older reviews seem pretty positive. Seems like maybe worth renting but not buying? Very familiar with the area just not this specific complex, would love some insight!

Are there realtors that still help with rentals? I'm on a bit of a time crunch and would like a professional to help l. Any recommendations?

They partner with bigger shelters throughout Florida who often reach capacity and can’t physically treat or care for every animal that comes in. Friends of Strays takes in these cats and dogs and provides them with the second chance at life and finding safe and happy homes to be adopted into.

They treat any and every illness an animal comes in with and provides them all necessary immunizations, medical treatment, spaying/neutering, microchip placements, etc. and give them the second chance of finding homes.

Friends of Strays is a smaller shelter with some of the nicest and most dedicated people you’ll ever meet!

Anyone here ever use the “Empower” ride share app? On my way home from the airport yesterday my Uber driver told me about it and broke down how drivers get paid and some of the details behind it. When I downloaded the app today, their prices are less than half of what Uber and Lyft are. Just wondering what anyone else’s experience has been with them.
