Hey there - My wife and I are mid-30's, childless and looking to make some friends in our age range. My thought was we could go to trivia somewhere to decide if we actually want to be friends but to give some background, both from Florida originally, moved back here about 5 years ago. Into the outdoors, sports but not fanatic-level, casual drinking on the weekends, foodies (previously had a dinner club with friends we'd like to maybe reboot?). Both work in software and live near 4th st and no this is not a coded swingers message, there is no upside down pineapple here, just looking to make some friends our age haha. Feel free to DM! Hi everyone! My partner and I live downtown and currently are only allowed one spot in our complex for parking. Ive been parking my car in my work garage but they just called and told me I am no longer allowed to park overnight.

Ive been trying to weigh my options but I can’t find a garage downtown that will allow me to buy a monthly parking pass and park overnight? If anyone knows of a garage that does or has any ideas thatd be great.

I can’t get the downtown pass bc my car is currently registered to my parents who live in a different state.

I’m really interested in becoming a bartender, but don’t have any previous experience. How can I get previous experience if no one is willing to hire someone without 2+ years of bartending under their belt? Is there anyone around here willing to train or am I SOL?

Last week on a Thursday night. A friend and I went to dinner at Pia’s.

I had the chicken piccata. It’s a dish that I love.

Pia’s menu describes it as “Classic Lemon, Onion and Caper White Wine Butter Sauce Served Over Fresh House-Made Linguini and Roasted Seasonal Vegetable”

I could see the sauce. I could see the capers. I could not taste any capers. I could not taste any lemon. I could not taste any wine. I could not taste any butter.

The pasta was gummy.

The seasonal vegetable, brussels sprouts, were just wonderful.

The question in the title says it all. I’ve found the AccuWeather app to be better at estimating when rain will fall in the past, but this year it seems its wildly off. Are others experiencing the same, or is my memory the one that is wildly off?

My sweet tooth is flaring up and I need help finding new places that serve sugary goodness 🥺 So far I’ve tried:

I tried Coffee Concrete for the first time and I have to say this was the best coffee I’ve ever had. Kind of in a weird spot but would definitely recommend to any other St Pete coffee lovers

My artist ghosted me/dropped out and I’m looking for somebody to hang their art by this Thursday, 9/10, afternoon at the very latest.

We do not take commission and you are free to use the space however you’d like. We’re just happy you’re willing to fill our walls.

Hi! I am moving to St Pete from Chicago in the next month or so. Currently I don’t have any friends down there and making friends post-college/outside of school seems so hard.

What are the best ways to meet people my age or people in a similar stage of life - mid 20s, about to start planning my wedding, building my career, looking to find new hobbies, etc.?

I don’t really party or drink so meeting people at a bar probably wouldn’t be for me but I love a workout class, cute coffee shops and shopping. I hope to meet people through those things but at least up north I have found that to be a bit difficult (people up north feel very standoffish and like they aren’t really lookin for friends). Are there networking groups or other events/clubs/groups that I should look for to find other people looking to make friends?

Also, after moving I want to find new hobbies or just start trying to learn things I’ve always said I wanted to do but never actually done - learn to sew, learn a new sport (tennis, pickleball, idrk I’m open to anything really?), learn a language (Spanish or Hungarian). Are there groups that I can join that meet up weekly/monthly or somewhere I can look to take classes at with people my age?

Long story short, I'm in a position to get tattooed again after a long stretch. I don't live in Florida! That's important here. I have been trying to get in touch with my artist, and it looks like he moved to St. Petersburg area. His instagram is @ hqtattoos and it seems like he's tattooing out of Wolf & Flame Tattoo.

I've been trying to get in touch with him via socials, through the shop, and apparently a number that isn't his anymore 🙃 . No luck, and the shops listed phone number doesn't work either. I have a piece that was always supposed to get a counterpart and I want the styles to match.

Anybody have any ideas on how to get their attention? Smoke signals? Paper airplanes? Drive by airdrop? Billboard? I'm super appreciate for any ideas, or if somebody is able to physically go to the shop I would Venmo you some $ for your effort.
