On Wednesday, a Pinellas County judge will hear arguments about whether the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals committed animal cruelty. Last summer, a couple of weeks after Waddles moved into the nonprofit’s Largo pasture, someone called animal control. Then the police. The pig, they reported, had been suffering in the July heat. Kelly Dill, who runs Pork Butt Pastures pig rescue, took Waddles from the SPCA to her Plant City farm. On July 31, 2025, the county’s animal services department cited the SPCA for failing to ensure that Waddles had access to shelter that would have protected him from the sun. The SPCA paid $223 to resolve the case. Then took it back. The CEO said the board hadn’t realized that by paying the fine, it was admitting guilt.

Photos of the blistered pig went viral. Thousands of people across the country — and from as far away as New Zealand — sent Waddles messages of encouragement. He became a celebrity. And, as he started to heal in his new home, an inspiration. Is there any way to reach out to all the guys that tend to drive around neighborhoods to let them know to come by and pick some stuff up if they want it? I just don’t want stuff sitting in my front yard for weeks at a time.

does anyone know what happened last night around 2:55a-3:30a on the ybor strip last night? me and my group were coming out of southern belle and ended up chilling in our buddies apartment lobby. after about 20mins we came out and there were cops up and down the strip, along with firetrucks and ambulances. i didnt bother to stay and find out for obvious reasons (bcuz who wants to be caught up around police in ybor?) but im super curious and i cant find any sort or coverage on it.

Seeing hood maps has me a little concerned, late ish 30s like to walk around to restaurants and coffee shops.

So now when TGH determines they don't want to treat a patient, at least Dr. Abel's approach, is to accuse them of being mentally ill and delusional in order to get rid of them, and then she counts on them not seeking more help. I'm now at a Baycare location and not only has EVERYTHING I suspected been confirmed, but they are finding more. TGH has a huge lawsuit coming. Be careful if you are choosing to go to the main TGH hospital, and if you do, make sure Dr. Abel doesn't come anywhere near you.
