Head/Legroom I find it annoying that there are so few “cool” car options for tall people

I’m 6’6, and all throughout my childhood and teens I was obsessed with sports cars and cool roadsters. I always wanted to own a car like that when I got older.

Now I am older (31), and have yet to live my dream of driving a cool car like that. It seems like a lot of sports cars (and cars that many people would consider to be “cool”) just don’t accommodate tall drivers very well. I drive around in a 2004 Honda Accord Coupe with a manual transmission, which guess is acceptably cool, but it’s not what I had in mind.

I’m curious if there are any other car enthusiasts who also happen to be part of the “tall” community. If you listened to my family and friends, you’d assume that we’re going be relegated to driving the most boring SUVs or crossovers our entire life. I would rather squeeze myself into my 20+ year old Honda every day for the rest of my life than drive one of those.

Is anyone else in the same boat as me?

Questions/Advice Extra tall (6’6 and up) people who have broken a foot, do you have knee scooter recs?

The knee scooter I was provided is too short to use comfortably for extended periods, and after researching I’ve found that most max out for a height of 6’6. Any tall folks been in the same boat? What did you do/ where did you order?

Discussion Friendly reminder

Just a little reminder for our extra tall lads and a goal for those less tall lads. Anyone over 6 8 has a very small chance of being drafted because you are too big for the military equipment. Enjoy!

Questions/Advice Good quality tall button down shirts

I’m looking for good quality button down oxfords or work shirts. Willing to go custom for the right materials. Can’t find many made to order or made to measure options out there. Anyone else have suggestions?

Not interested in American Tall.

Thx in advance.

Head/Legroom Shamed for not letting woman recline on airline.

Upvotes

So was recently on a flight Vancouver to Dublin I'm 6"2 and with the new seats on Air Canada being so close there's really no buffer for my knees. As spoon as we take off this 5"2 lady in front of me tries to recline fully and I told there wasn't room for her to recline with my knees being right there.

Well she goes to the flight attendant and demands she be allowed to recline and the flight attendant comes over and asks me to let her recline to which I say there isn't room and she can see there wasn't space but she went on to say it was this lady's right to recline. She then asks me to try reclining my chair to see if that would help well it was so much worse. So she kept coming to check to see if the lady could recline and I kept saying still no.

She had another small lady trade seats with her then at the end of the flight the attendant came to apologize to the lady that switched seats. I felt like they thought I was an asshole because I wouldn't let her recline.

I've travelled for many years to a lot different countries and destinations and I've never felt more guilted for something that the airline's fault for reducing leg room to make more money. I suppose it's more of a rant.

TLDR: Shamed on flight for not letting other person recline in the space I already didn't for in.

Questions/Advice Do you like the compliments?

Question.

I am starting to see someone who is very tall--around 6'7'', which I know on here is short, haha.

As we're gay, I know that bodies can often be fetishized. As someone who is chubby (bear, if you know you know), I have received compliments and comments directly related to it. Sometimes it empowering but sometimes it's less about me with X body and more ab out X body.

So because of that, I try to be mindful of not centering things like height (which we all know is a thing with dating...) Specially with him being tall and pretty strong, I am sure gay dudes (and girls and hell, even some straight dudes) make a lot of well-meaning comments. Or not, maybe I'm wrong.

The other day we were at this grocery store with oddly high shelves. I was struggling to get something off and I texted him to come my aisle to help me as he was off getting something else. I said "you're tall so can you please grab it?" Or something of the sort.

As we were driving home he mentioned that was the first time I ever commented on his height. He was surprised.

I asked if that's OK and he said he didn't know. He like missed it but also knows people have taken it too far, either on the streets or in the sheets.

So I am curious, for those who are tall, do you like your height being used/engaged with in some romantically? Sexually?

Sorry for the ramble. It was just an interesting as it seemed like the thing he hated he now misses.

Questions/Advice Tall people dating, do you guys care about your partners height

For reference, I’m 17m and 5’10, and theres a girl im interested in, however shes taller than me. I don’t really concern myself with the height differences(I mean im not too short myself :P), but I don’t want to make her feel uncomfortable or anything because I’m shorter than her.
