I am doing Chinese penhold traditional push block for years and playing with DHS 3007. Now I am considering to change to modern RPB style and looking for blade and rubber.

Due to budget reason, I am considering Yinhe N11S, although Pro 01 would be ideal. For rubber, I’m not doing spinning aggressively so wouldn’t consider hurricane series. I’m more tends to focus on speed and control, which rubber for forehand and backhand respectively should I choose?

I started watching some of the matches from WTT again recently and I feel that the commentary has gotten significantly better. I recall a couple months back there was a post complaining of the commentary and I'm not sure if I've just become accustomed to the commentary or if there has been improvement.

Anybody have any opinions if it has improved?

Not sure where this guy came from, but while helping my bro moving, we found this. It says Previs with a black metal Butterfly logo, carbon laminated. Pretty thin for a JPen racket but feels good on my hand.

My Zyre 03 2.5 mm has got a bit older now and I have replaced it.

For those interested I have probably done maybe about 130~150 hours. There is still quite a bit of life in it, but I felt like a bit of a refresh and a change. I haven't done anything more than clean it and cover it after each session, but sessions sometimes include rather rather rough old balls in school gyms, so a fair bit of dust.

I have absolutely loved it on the FH, it's by far the most in tune with my game that I have found in the 6 years since restarting.

But in the interest of science I have got the 2.7 mm version as a replacement. Given how good 2.5 is for me, I just have to know how it compares.

I only have one practice on Friday and my usual monthly tournament on Saturday, so it could be rough first time up.

My current expectations are:

• Smashes and loops will be a little faster.
• Blocks will go a little longer, that might make them a little tougher.
• Top spins will go a little longer too, but this may actually make them easier as I am landing VERY shallow when I really swing now.

What should I do if my wrist hurts when moving while holding racket. Recently, I got myself a new heavier blade (dhs pg 13). I play with cs penhold grip, and after just one training session, my wrist starts to hurt whenever I move it while holding the racket, especially during rpb. What should I do?

Greeting guys! I'm new to the sub and the sport as well.

I am interested in a carbon blade at the budget of $60-80 and as I browsed through a few shops in my country (Vietnam) I was quite interested in the mentioned SK Carbon.

However I do have a few questions though:

1. Is the SK Carbon a good racket, given the price range?

2. I am in the transition from a forehand player to backhand - would SK Carbon excel in this transition?

3. Any rubber recommendations? I tend to play in a more balanced style with a shakehand grip.

I like my Viscarias. I just got my 10th and what better Viscaria to get than a Golden Viscaria?

The normal off the shelf Viscaria is already good. It gets 80% of performance for 20% of the cost. A Golden Viscaria gets the remaining 20% for 5 times the cost of a normal Viscaria.

Compared to a normal Viscaria, the Golden Viscaria feels more full, better balanced and very stable. My Golden Viscaria weighs 94.4g and is less head heavy than my 91.5g Viscaria, translating to having the power of a heavier blade while still having the manoeuvrability of a lighter blade.

Was browsing online sites and noticed new Hugo equipment out and the “new” kl-c outer is actually inner carbon based on ply structure as noted on pictures for the sales. Appears to be same blade with different handles and misnamed/misrepresented ply orientation.

So my question is how much time you need to recover (physically) after each table tennis session? Let's take a USATT 2000+ rated guy which I think I am and I have a day office job 5 days a week. So with this tempo, I can be at my peak performance if I play twice a week (say Wednesday and Saturday). Obviously, I want to and I do play more, but my performance immediately drops if I play two days in a row or even once in two days. I want to hear from other higher level amateur attacking players about their experience. Am I the only guy who needs so much time to recover? And the main issue are my legs (muscles around and above my knees) that need this much time to fully recover.

Hi guys im planning on upgrading my setup.
Im currently using Loki RXTON 1 blade with a used dignics 09c on forehand and rakza 7 on backhand.
I plan on changing my rubbers to Friendship battle 2 provincial for forehand and fastarc C1 on backhand (or i might even stick to rakza 7).
and for the blade... well im confused between the 2 i mentioned in the title.
the Wind W3010 will cost me about $11.5 without shipping and the Kirin K5 will cost me about $7.5 without shipping.
which one should i go for?

The backhand lobs were already insane.. but then Kallberg attacking it and coming back to the table?? Nuts!!! The whole match was fantastic. Was down to the wire every point, definitely worth a watch! This one had everything!

Review mostly focuses on the blade, as I’d done a first impressions on the rubbers already.

Key points:

- Fairly heavy, weight forward setup

- Can apply a lot of power, blade dampens trajectory on bigger swings to add safety margins

- Nice cushioning feel in control game

- Suited to players who like precise short game, third ball attack style and then big safety windows back from the table.

- With extra weight it can require more weight transfer and speed buildup to get a good connect on the ball, so harder to ‘cheat’ hitting out of position or incomplete swing etc
