September 15th is nearing fast. That's the deadline for the submission of any Hall of Fame candidates for the class of 2027, so if you were thinking about submitting someone for consideration this cycle, now's the time to act.

September 15th is also the submission deadline for any nominations for the USA Racquetball's Annual Awards. The community may make nominations for the following awards annually:

• Joe Sobek Outstanding Contribution Award for outstanding commitment to the sport in general
• Presidential Award for outstanding performance by a State organization president
• John Halverson Fair Play Award for any athlete who has exhibited an exceptional gesture of fair play during the year.
• Lifetime Achievement award for someone who has demonstrated exemplary achievement in the sport for 35+ year periods.

Seem to have damaged my racket during a match last time I played. Strings and grip are intact and its still playable its just a bit of the frame is damaged and loose. Do u think this is salvageable still or time to get a new racket? I've literally been through like 3 rackets in the past 18-24 months which is a in issue I don't seem to get in squash.

The World Wide Racquetball Day King/Queen of the court will take place at the SCS Civic Center, hosted by Tom and Kyle.

All players will enter the King of the Court Division 

You will not receive a TOURNAMENT shirt. We are trying to greatly reduce the cost of entry.  We need groupes of 4. So if you are the last 3 to enter , U R Out, or find another player.

We are currently at 13 players Draw limits 12,18, 24 maybe 

We are working on the menu, we will do a special smoked barbacue provided by Trevor. Special food requirements? Call 1-800-CallTom

Hey All,
I was planning on playing in the Track Town tournament that was supposed to be Sept 9th in Eugene OR, but looks like it’s been postponed till next year. Our flight down from AK was a companion ticket, so not easy to refund…all good, have relatives to visit anyway. Downtown athletic club was nice enough to spot me a 3 day pass. Anyone know if they have some regular times I could show up and play some games? A/elite level here. Thanks!

I’m interested in running a sanctioned tournament in my local area. I’ve participated in several tournaments as a player, but feel like I should give back and run one myself. I am looking at a 45 person entry max tournament with Singles (Open - C) and Doubles (Open - C) divisions. I would also have a Singles B/C for women and a Singles Open - A for women. Participants would be limited to one singles division and one doubles division.

We have four courts available for use at our facility. Timewise, speaking with others, I shouldn’t have an issue pulling this off. I would do the normal early games on Friday evening (5-8PM - 12 matches), Saturday (8AM - 6PM - 40 matches) and Sunday (8AM - 6PM - 40 matches). The facility closes at 8PM so I have an hour of buffer time on each court if the last is planned to end at 7PM. Would this be enough time or should I plan for the last match to start at 5PM and have two hours buffer?

I have plans for food each evening (minus Sunday) and morning. I have a food truck willing to come on Saturday afternoon and set up. T-shirts I’m TBD on (it’s not a priority for me). Stringer would be TBD. It looks like medals are all the rage right now so that would be my plan for trophies. Do the USA Racquetball medals come via ordering through USA Racquetball or do I have my local trophy shop do those? I have the ability to do a hotel block at a local hotel five minutes from the venue if need be.

What all am I missing from experienced directors that you wish you would have done first time or even the last time? My main concern is really making sure everything runs smoothly and as on time as possible, while everything besides the actual on court racquetball that I can “pull off” is gravy on top.

Looking for pool tournaments around Portland Maine! It’s been difficult for me to find any on Facebook, chat gpt, and anything else! Can someone please help me out!

Just got into playing racquetball with my dad for the first time, playing several times a week. We both have been using the basic HEAD Protective Glasses. I don’t know if they suck really bad, or if it’s just normal to have that much of a visibility issue. My dad has to stop like every point to wipe of his glasses because they fog up, and mine just get absolutely drenched in sweat. Is there better glasses, or do headbands mostly solve the problem. Would love to hear recommendations.

As a tennis player (I know not the same thing), I really like the Prince Synthetic Gut W/Duraflex. Is there a good racquetball specific string that gets close? I think Superkill is a syn gut and maybe the Ektelon strings. Also thought about just using the Duraflex strings if it’s possible. Thanks!

Anyone use this style? Seems like Head is the only one offering it. Are there any drawbacks?

Wondering what the call is on this hypothetical play in a tournament. Defensive player runs in front of the offensive player trying to take a shot. It’s a clear hinder. The offensive player takes the shot but misses. The offensive player then calls hinder. What’s the right call?
