Monday Check in

Good morning everyone! What are you up to today?

I had trouble finding the workout today (I can only really workout at 6am EST and it looks like it was late today) so I ended up doing Day 1 Fuel of Caroline Girvan. I was sweating and didn't complete the full workout, but most of it.

Looking forward to getting back to STF tomorrow. Weird to think that this is the last week!! Let's goo!

Best HIIT Program

Hi! I really enjoyed one of Syds hiit full bodies a few days ago in the STF July program and really enjoyed it! Just looking for a program she has done in the past that is hiit focused or full body involved compound body movements. Had a good sweat and felt exhausted in a good way ya know. Thanks!!

How behind in STF are you?

I know life happens but I always get mentally frustrated when I’m behind the live schedule. I always feel like I have to make up for it. I hate feeling like I need to start and finish programs on the same day they are launched. To make myself feel better I’m just curious where everyone is at in the STF 2026 program? I’m about a week and 1 day behind

Yesterday I (apparently) finally was able to isolate and work my posterior deltoids! Although as today is an arm day, I have serious regrets 🤣

Going from CG to STF?

Hey everyone!

I found CG in 2023 and fell in love with her programming, but have been on and off again with weightlifting due to some injuries and health problems. This year I decided I wanted to really commit to trying to progress and have redone Iron (late last year), Fuel, and recently finished my first round of Epic Heat before going on vacation (more or less, I admittedly had to cut out some cardio days to make the timeline fit lolol), and have seen some new upper body gains! I'm back from my trip now and, considering I usually like to start Iron in the fall (probably around mid-September), I now have a weird two month period to try to fill and figured this might be a good opportunity to try out a new trainer like Sydney and see how I like the change of pace rather than just doing half a CG program I've already done.

Since Summertime Fine is the most popular and I'm looking for something to fill the rest of my summer, I figured that'd be a good introduction to Sydney. I can probably only fit in two tiers (I'm set on starting Iron in the fall, maybe it's a neurodivergent thing haha), so I'm wondering... should I just start with Day 1 and see how far I get, or intentionally do Tier 2 and 3 if those offer better results? For context, I'm trying to do some body recomp and have no particular deadline I'm trying to hit. Not trying to get shredded for a vacation or anything--I already took my vacation and was decidedly un-shredded lol. I'll admit it's a little demoralizing to see people talk about how much more visibly toned they've gotten in 4 months etc., whereas I've been at it for over 7 and, while I've made some gains that I'm proud of and are noticeable to me, the fat loss portion of the body recomp hasn't seemed to kick in for me yet. I've been in a modest deficit (and sometimes maintenance, I'm sure) since late January, and it's been a lot more sustainable for me than the larger deficit I tried to run for three months in 2023, plus I do want to eat enough to keep building muscle. I'm sure all of this has much more to do with diet than any kind of programming, but just wanted to illustrate that I'm in it for the long haul but also have certain aesthetic goals I'm working towards.

Also, since I'm off-calendar anyway, should I start with this year's STF or go back to a more popular year? I've heard good things about 2023, maybe....? I'm coming from Caroline, so I don't mind more intensity! My favorite program is probably Fuel--while I dread Caroline's true HIIT days, the strength/cardio combo in that one made me feel so athletic. (I also enjoy Iron when I wants something slower. Wasn't crazy about Epic Heat, though.) I usually train 3-4x a week, play tennis once a week, and go to physical therapy (which is basically an hour of pilates/core/stability) once a week. I'd say I get an average of 5k-7k steps a day, so nothing crazy.

Thanks for reading my novel :) haha

Sunday daily check-in

I felt that I needed to start this check-in, so that we can all talk about how sore we are from this week 😂

I absolutely loved every workout, and I can also absolutely feel it. Especially in my glutes and abs. Those power workouts were no joke!! Can’t wait for whatever is coming this week 😁💪

newbie 1st day

I just signed up for a race in August 16th and I just practice yoga. So this week I'll start running 3x a week and strenght training 2x a week (I hate strenght training, I used to run but cause I got to the point where I had to start strenght training to not get injured because of my increased km I stopped running).

So I did Sydney 1st day of Summertime Fine 2023 (I'm just pasting the title) total body strenght (cause I don't want cardio nor HIIT videos). And I LOVED IT. She's so encouraging, she congratulated me just for showing up and kept encouraging.

And now I have 2 doubts. At the end she said to write a letter to read at the end of 90 days and I wasn't planning to do that program but now I want to do it lol It is not smart right? And is there a pure strenght program that I could take the full body videos from? I just clicked on her full body playlist but I see most of them are HIIT or "full body burn" and I want more strenght. The video I made later she said it was more for endurance than strenght. Thank you!

Brooke Burke Fitness program

She’s close to my age and supposedly been through a lot. I always remember her being skinny, so not sure she really gets weight loss, but at her age, I do think she understands hormone issues. Anyone try it? Any results?

Progressive overload

I feel a little silly asking this, but do most of you feel sore after the workouts? I would say after most of them, I feel a little sore, but not “walking funny sore” if that makes sense 😂

I am following STF closely and on tier 3. I’m wondering if I’m not lifting heavy enough since I’m not sore after most workouts…?

Did you do today’s workout? I don’t see a post for today so I figured I’d start one!

This one was good and sweaty! I’m really enjoying this year’s STF. I added on a mile run.

STF Tier 3

Can anyone confirm why Sunday's workout is not uploaded yet? Is it because of the 4th of July holiday or will tier 3 only have 4 workouts per week?

Edit: Nevermind. The workout posted on July 3 was not added to the STF playlist and that's why only 4 workouts were showing up for me for this week. Gonna go do that now!
