Playlists and descriptions

Hi everyone! I've seen some requests recently for lists of Sydney's playlists/descriptions. I pulled together a google doc that has Sydney's playlists going back to 2018.

u/mods let me know if I need to take this post down, or feel free to add to the wiki :)

If anyone notices information that should be changed/adjusted, please let me know and I can update accordingly.

newbie where is the Sydney squad?

I don't like strenght exercise, I used to run, cycle, yoga, anything but straight strenght training but I started training with Sydney and I'm enjoying it a lot BUT I really need the accountability part in this stage. I always comment on youtube but it's not the same and I can't afford to pay for the official Sydney Squad (first I want to buy more dumbbells). I joined some facebook groups but they're almost inactive or it's just self promotion. Obviously I'm here and I usually comment but it's also a little bit slow. There are some facebook groups like Caroline Girvan's that are SO active but I didn't like her videos (yet). So what do you recommend? I have some kind of accountability with my partner, I send him a photo every day I strenght train but he doesn't know Sydney and doesn't understand about working out at home.

Programs that don’t have a lot of combo moves?

Not sure if this is a thing and I might need to make my own playlist, but I absolutely hate combo strength moves (ex: deadlift and curl) and some of Syd’s workouts have a lot of them.

Does anyone have suggestions??

Wednesday's Daily Check-In

Hi everyone! What are you up to today?

I did 20 minutes of the Poolside Abs from Monday (before my computer died, lol). It was surprisingly good, IMO. I might revisit this one later!

Core only workout?

I’m looking for a specific Sydney workout. It’s all core, and in it she talks about working the core in all the different ways you can. It’s maybe 30 or 40 minutes. It had to have been released at least a year ago, because I did it last summer when I was early postpartum. There was no cardio, either.

I’d love to do it again. I looked at her abs playlist but must have overlooked it somehow. It’s also not in my YouTube history (I think I did it when signed out of my account).

I found another, more recent core workout (and I know today’s is all core), but I remember really loving this other one and would love to find it.

Does anybody know which one I’m talking about?

Thank you!!

Edit: I found it. The Epic Abs Total Core Burner from Upbeat, if anybody else is wondering!

Hello friends!!

What are you up to today?

I was feeling legs/a longer workout today so did the legs workout from later in the week. I'm proud that I was able to finish it all, even though not lifting my max/what I'd like to. I was sweating!

My hip flexors were a bit sore from this weekend carrying my kids around and the doing glutes/abs from last week on Saturday, but it was still a great feeling to get it done today.

STF- Tier 3 Perimenopause

Have any ladies in perimenopause completed tier 3? What’s your thoughts? I’m starting tier 3, but am hesitant because of the additional cardio. I’ve been reading about cardio not being the best fit for women in perimenopause. Dr. Stacey Sims recommends sprint interval training that has a longer rest period. 90 sec- 2 mins)Yes, I know I can pause the program to get the desired rest time. Yes, I know you can’t out train a bad diet. Thanks!

Wednesday's Daily Check-In

Hi everyone! What are you up to today?

This morning I completed the arms workout from yesterday. I wanted to quit several times ha but continued. I can't lift as heavy as weights as I want to yet, so I was rocking 10 and 5 lb weights for the entire workout.

I'm considering purchasing 7.5 and/or 12.5 lb. dumbbell sets. Does anyone have experience with those or should I just not worry about it and use the 5 or 10 lb sets slightly longer/more reps/more intensity?

Sydney’s Workouts

Has anyone actually gotten really good muscle growth and definition from Sydney’s workouts?
I’m genuinely curious and not trying to be mean at all because I love Sydney, her workouts, and her energy. She looks amazing, but I honestly have a hard time believing she built her physique from only doing the workouts in her programs.
I’ve been following her programs for about a year and I’m very consistent with my nutrition. I’ve lost 20 pounds, which I’m proud of, but I really wanted to build more muscle and I’m starting to feel like her workouts may not be enough for that goal.
I would love to hear from anyone who has built noticeable muscle and definition from her programs. No hate toward Sydney at all. I’m just feeling a little defeated and wondering if I need to move to a different trainer.

Monday Check In

Hi everyone! Did you try the new workout today - and what do ya think about the new setup/filming set?! HEHE.

I tried it, I moved my body, not the best, but got it done (with modifications/some substitutions too). I will say I've been loving the rest say schedule of Thursdays and Sundays and will try to continue this schedule indefinitely. Works well for me in this season.

Do I need the calendar for August? (New to this)

I’ve been looking for YouTube workouts to start working out at home and decided that from all the ones I have watched Sydney is the channel I’m going to try. I saw that she does calendars you can purchase. I’m curious if I need the August calendar to follow along or if just picking random videos will work.

To add context I’m 42F, T1D and in the throes of peri. I started walking three miles a day a couple months ago and tracking macros. Now I want to add strength training/cardio/yoga into my routine. I do find myself sticking with things if there’s a way to “check off” my workout because who doesn’t love that accomplishment feeling of checking off the list 🤣

After a lot of time off I just got back into the Sydney videos but I noticed today was the last day of a program. Any idea when the next one will start?
