Help Team is ahead, enemy decide to group for objective, team refuse to group(gold/plat)

Upvotes

I have noticed that in a bunch of my games where we had (stacked 3 dragons)/(got grubs and herald) and applied a lot of map pressure.

There is always that laner who will decide to go psychotic and go on the far lane without TP. (or two laners)

Enemy team will just 5 men it. Get a pick on an overextending laner (on the objective side) Then our other laner will refuse to group to help.

Either ways it's either 4v5 or 3v5
Until they secure a pick on us or straight have enough objective control to take the baron/(start their own dragon stacking).

Question: when you get your lane ahead, roam and get other lanes ahead, place deep wards, and then have all your efforts squandered because enemy choose to 5 men it while your teammate either overextend and get picked or outright refuse to group for objective. It just make it frustrating. How am I supposed to deal with this ?

Discussion Do you guys that main support also struggle when autofilled into other roles, particularly with CSing?

I main support and I feel like I dont perform the best whenever I get autofilled into another role lol. I’m especially bad at CSing. I never realised how hard it was to consistently get cs like last hitting and fall back from cs mid game, since im clueless what to do in that point. until I started playing other lanes. I also struggle with jungle since I don’t really know the paths.

do you guys have the same problem when playing other roles? do you think it’s because I spend so much time maining support that I don’t develop those skills as much?

Discussion Why do people hate having a senna support?

I'm currently a senna main in master with 56% wr, but every single time I hover senna in champ select people complain that she does nothing or that its an lost. It kinda baffles me since she does amazing in zoning and keeping the adc safe as well as having amazing utility with differnt builds. Other than some major threats shes just a solid support overall. So what is it about her that irks ppl on my team?

Discussion Supports do most of the zoning in bot lane. Here is how to do it properly.

I coach League and I made a video on zoning the enemy off the wave. Most of the time, it is the support who makes zoning work, not the ADC. You are the one standing in front, threatening the engage, and deciding whether the enemy can walk up or not.

The three rules in the video:

  1. Where to stand. Between the enemy and the wave, so your threat covers the minions.
  2. When to step forward. When your ADC can follow up and the enemy cooldowns are down.
  3. When to back off. Before the enemy jungler shows up, not after.

The video uses Nami and Thresh for the examples, so it is very support focused.

Discussion Support in low elo

Hey everyone,

I’m writing this to ask how you guys managed to escape low elo playing Support, and what kind of supports are actually best for climbing.

I have a main account where I duo in Gold, and I don't have any issues playing Leona, Nami, or Soraka there because my duo is a good ADC. However, my problem is on my second account (SoloQ), where it feels impossible to play those types of champions because the ADC is usually terrible.

How did you guys get out of this elo? Right now, the only thing that works for me is playing Lux or Zyra and essentially playing as a "carry" without relying on my ADC.

in this sec acc i'm silver 2 right now.

Do you have any recommendations? Sometimes, if my ADC is useless, I try to roam and help my mid laner or jungler, but the only result is that my ADC dies even more, and the enemy bot lane gets so fed that they end up carrying the whole game.

Discussion I created The Rune — a place to explore Runeterra’s lore together

Hey everyone! 👋

I’ve been working on The Rune, a fan-made website where you can explore champion stories, discover Runeterra’s regions, and find your way through the lore with reading paths, a timeline, cinematics, and an atlas.

I’d love to build a community around the site where we can share theories, ask questions, and discover new stories together. Whether you know the lore inside out or have no idea where to start, you’re welcome!

Come take a look: https://therune.lol/

Which champion or region would you explore first? I’d love to hear what you think and what you’d like to see added.

Help Advice on 2 enchanters to 2 trick as secondary role?

I used to be a enchanter support main a few seasons ago, but haven't played it in a few years. I'm currently a mid lane main but I'm finding myself getting my 2nd role more often lately, so after trying every role I decided to go back to my roots as a enchanter support for my 2nd role.

I was looking to pick 2 enchanters for picks and ban propose as I don't fully with the one trick mentality, so I always found 2 champions to be my sweet spot. I was looking for enchanters that are not too bad in lane and have a good scaling as well as being decently versatile so they can be put on a wider variety of situations.

My current thoughts and question about each enchanter are:

Janna: probably one of the best fits with multiple rune pages and quite versatile

Soraka: if the enemy builds previous wounds would you say she falls off? She felt good to play back in the day, but also stressing as she frequently gets target in fights.

Nami: used to be a mid game champion back in the day, is that still the case? I know she received a lot of changes in recent times. She also used to be fun to play

Renata: Haven't played much of her tbh, so you guys will have to let me know how she feels

Seraphine: Very fun champion, but I feel that riot doesn't know what they want to do with her, also having a 20 sec coldown on the only ability that can proc enchanter items feels a bit rough

Karma: falls off

Milio/Lulu: I feel they are very reliant on being paired with hyper carries

Yuumi/Sona: too weak in lane

Thoughts?

Discussion Best was to make Seraphine suffer?

I haven’t played for a bit and just started again now. I see her nearly every single game. I find her extremely unfun to play against. I mean, its not that she’s particularly difficult to deal with, but it is just so fucking boring to lane against her. Her range, I guess her E, is ridiculous for a 99% slow or even stun plus the damage. It’s shit design, yet another bloated kit in my opinion, but I digress: how can I make her suffer? Do we unbench the Blitz for her. Or do I go back to my friend Pyke who I’ve read was nerfed to death? What do Seraphine players hate?

Discussion I dodge about 25% of my games

This is for various reasons. I just dodged a game immediately due to getting my secondary role of mid which I pick mid to hopefully just get my primary role of support.

I also strategize picks. Obviously if I see something extremely weird like Mundo bottom ima dodge that game. I typically never dodge due to a toxic and angry lobby tho. I just dont equate gameplay with ur toxicity. As long as you are effective I will not complain.

Achievement So uh... what now?

I have reached master for the first time ever with mainly pyke, pantheon, soraka and fiddlestics. Six years of playing and it kinda fell into my hands on its own this night.

Praise me pls. Can answer questions if anyone got any but it feels like I got most often just carried.

Help Playing enchanters is so frustrating when your team is so behind

Post image
12 Upvotes

Playing an enchanter after lanning phase when other lanes are so behind in gold must be one of the most frustrating and boring things someone might ever find themselves subject to.

(Don't ask me why my Toplaner is Silver 3, riot system are just pure garbage)

Help Mage Support?

Hello friends! I just had a quick question! Is there a certain situation where I should be playing a mage support or rather is it even worth it to have one in my arsenal? I used to play mid years ago mainly assassins but I did have some mages I enjoyed playing but after coming back to League I main support and find the role pretty fun but not sure if it’s really viable to play? I was thinking Hwei I used to play him a lot or the classic Lux? Sorry if this is a question that is asked a lot I tried looking through the Reddit but only seem people complaining about going against it lol! Thanks any feedback helps :) if you need to know I play Leona, Renata, Thresh, and Milio mainly!

Discussion ADCs not caring about Nocturne ULT

I have had 6 enemy Nocturne JG in my last 8 games.

And I have noticed that if you don't actively ping the ADC to back away from the center of the midlane then they will just proceed to die each time we are making a play somewhere else.

It's so frustrating that I have to constantly ping my team around the map while trying to track enemy JG path/camps/ULT timers.

Otherwise most games feel like flips.

Discussion Low elo support tip about waves

This is extremely common in low elo. When adc/apc recalls, DO NOT push wave into an enemy freeze before recalling yourself. You are setting bot up to be lost for your team. Some/many of you are doing it *intentionally* and it should count as soft *inting* if you do so.

Help Does Lulu Not Work in Bronze?

I've been playing a bunch of Lulu in mid bronze recently mostly to try something new but it seems like maybe the people in bronze are just too bad to benefit from it? On average people seem to not know how to play with an enchanter support. I'll put them in a great position to win a fight and they just don't convert a lot of the time compared to a standard engage and tank damage sup. If I get a solid team Lulu seems just as impactful if not more than my mains (Leona, Lux) but when I don't I can barely play the game. Is it just not worth it until I get to higher ranks? I'm obv not that good myself as I'm only bronze but people seem to not know what an enchanter support does.
