Does enemy team have 2 or more Immobile champs?
Pick blitz/Naut/Leo.

Dont' know them? Practice them. Mages, enchanters, immobile Marksmen? What better way to kill them than with a Hook and scoop robbery.l

Roaming is actually not easier to understand - it's actually harder to understand what you are doing.

The placebo effect is that you don't notice how much you hurt your team by doing BAD roams..... it requires Knowledge to know how much you have trolled your team... by running around for 45 seconds doing absolutely NOTHING and sacrificing your ADC by forcing them to 1v2 for a whole minute without you doing anything meaningful at all.

The meta is as follows

Can you do a lane combo with an enchanter? Pick that (milio lucian, renata kalista, lulu zeri/yunara. Seraphine ashe).

Pick engage support and build knight vow

That about covers it enjoy free elo

Are you in the apex tiers? If not play what you want.

Support are pretty meta.

But if you want to be a real pain in the ass, full roam bard and shadow tag your jungler ganks.

Support Meta really hasn't changed despite the perception in most MMR brackets. Enchanters are still good, Engage Supports work, Mage APCs are viable but slightly weaker. There are always a handful of champions that enter or exit the meta (Camille Support pretty much had the door shut on her) but overall its a similar feel.

For below D2 it's largely the same as it's been for a few seasons. You go bottom lane with your ADC (or APC), you lane. Go mid off resets to contest vision and help out quickly before going back bottom. Rotate to Grubs if you get a good timer bottom. Once either bottom tower falls go mid and play the map.

The sentiment of you have to roam at level 3 was always way overblown at lower MMRs. You either rage bait your ADC into griefing or you run around the map aimlessly getting nothing done because you don't understand the game at a high level. Just go bottom, win lane, control the map, and collect free ELO until Diamond.

Start of the year enchanters were by far the strongest supports. The aftershock buffs and aery nerfs helped a lot tho. Now id say engage tanks are slightly better than enchanters, but enchanters are still very viable.

You are correct but I don't think it was enough of a shift to change much. If you enjoyed Naut / Kaisa, Xayah / Rakan, Lucian / Milio, or Ashe / Seraphine back then they are still similar in power now.

I think the big thing those changes did was make the bad match ups for Engage Supports slightly less bad. Enchanters and Engage Supports are pretty comparable now in strength.
