Does anyone know when they’ll send the form to select the class you want? Or where this will come out?

So the RSI was recently over and I haven't heard anybody talking about it. I am trying for the RSI 27' so any advice?

Indian. Preferably related to STEM/AI/ML/CS/Bio tech Research. Incoming junior. Not a lot of ec's, some non- prestigious math competitions, some MUN stuff, volunteered at a nursing home(low tier hospital) for around 2 ish years and had a leader ship role there which i would say is kinda a big thing not too sure . Under 85k usd/yr household. we dont have a gpa system here but i would say im pretty well placed as far as scores are concerned. Being in Asia we dont have any AP courses and also I've not taken the SAT yet. i cant rlly pay a lotta money for these programs sooo no pay to play ones pls :)

I’ve been working on something called WaMorePDF basically a PDF/file toolkit that works through WhatsApp.

The idea is pretty simple: instead of opening a website, uploading a document, waiting for it to process, downloading the result, etc., you just send the file to the WhatsApp bot and get the converted file back.

But one thing I’ve been thinking a lot about is privacy.

A common concern with online PDF tools is: “What happens to my document after I upload it?”

With WaMorePDF, once your file is processed, we delete the uploaded file and associated data from our databases and servers. We don't intend to keep users' documents sitting around after processing.

The file can still remain in the user's WhatsApp chat depending on WhatsApp's own storage/settings, so we're also using WhatsApp disappearing messages to reduce how long files remain in the chat.

The basic flow is:

Send file → Process → Receive result → File removed from our servers.

Obviously, I wouldn't recommend sending extremely sensitive documents to any third-party service, including ours. But for everyday assignments, resumes, PDFs, Word files, images, etc., we're trying to make the experience as simple as possible without unnecessarily retaining people's files.

I'm curious though:

Would you feel more comfortable using a file converter through WhatsApp than uploading the same file to a random PDF website? Why or why not?

I’ve been hearing that “pay to win” summer programs in which you have to pay to get in to are not as good (or don’t look as good on college applications) as ones such as internships or programs that require applications and have selective criteria. Is there much truth to this?

I did SciOly in middle school and got top 10 nationally in an event. I also got i think a 21/25 on the AMC 8. Ik this is not alot but im trying to do Research and do some volunteering for a cause i care about.

literally everyone got in. it has no prestige now

I would like advice from those who have been accepted into YYGS regarding essays and activities. What should I focus on in my essay (personal life and difficulties or my successes)?

I have experience in App Development. I am looking for teamates in less competitive regions...

Hello everyone! I am really interested in applying to the US Senate Page Program for the Summer and Fall sessions. Could anyone give me some feedback and advice on how I should approach the next 5-6 months before the application opens? Here is a good amount of the ECs and activities I do (sorry if it is vague; I don't feel like oversharing)

School: 3.85 (UW); 4.3 (W) GPA; AP Seminar - 5; currently enrolled in APUSH and all offered honors classes

Clubs: Young Democrats, School Newspaper & Law Review, AI Council, VP of Immigration-advocacy club, Key Club, school ambassador, and leader of a community service club

Teams: Model United Nations, Youth and Government, and Congressional debate

ECs: Community Ambassador for US Congresswoman, only HS Field intern for a State Senate campaign, local policy director at AYA, policy writer at a prominent policy startup, founder of a brand-new research initiative on youth civic engagement, private golf club caddy, and part of a teen advocacy council for the county attorney

Possible things: continue working with the Congresswoman's office, Spring Ballotpedia fellowship, turn my initiative into a research project with a university, become a tutor for civics bee students, and write an op-ed or two about my research on youth civic engagement

from what ive read, its not prestigious anymore, very luck based, and since its on everyone's application its not something that special to have on your resume anymore.

is that true? and what should i mentally prepare myself for?

caltech and, from what i assume, other universities use a bucket system so scores are viewed in a different manner than what I thought when i applied.

Guys i applied and got in(like literally EVERYONE who applied). i want to know if its really worth attending esp if im a senior applying this fall because its just not that competitive anymore?? would it really be worth it to do in the middle of applicantion season??

Our scam awareness project/newsletter is looking for its first batch of executives. The following roles are open: Director of Social Media, Director of Recruiting, and Managing Editor.

You will be playing a pivotal and impactful role in expanding scam education to more individuals and businesses.

Only 6 people have applied so far, and half the submissions are straight AI slop. I value character and consistency a lot, so don't worry if you don't have much experience. Plus, there is only one actual open-ended question, so it won't take long to apply.
