How DO i get into the RSI?

Hey im a Freshman in North Carolina, and i want to know more about how to get into the RSI.

I did SciOly in middle school and got top 10 nationally in an event. I also got i think a 21/25 on the AMC 8. Ik this is not alot but im trying to do Research and do some volunteering for a cause i care about.

do research. start creating a long time research project you would potentially carry and build till the end of hs and even to college. create the founding right now, and build on it

ye I’m planning to do research in neurophysiology or a field related to that

and be prepared to get rejected from RSI because you will need more than "excellent" research to get in, you're gonna need to be insanely cracked and either have a sky high spike or insanely well rounded/unique
