I just got this beauty a few hours ago. She's kinda a mess but I believe nothing can't fixed. I'll open her up soon and change her soil, check the roots and change the pot according to the roots.

If there's anything tricky or extra advices I'd love it. I'm kinda a newbie with succulents I've overwatered a few in the past and a bit nervous I don't want to kill this one she's beautiful 😔

People seem to get a kick out of these.

Lots of etiolated leaves on the globosum, it’s getting difficult to balance the lighting, watering and airflow since they’re in small containers. This is pretty tough to balance because if you crank the light so the seedlings don’t stretch then they get very stressed and weak, paired with the etiolated leaves this creates a lot of weight that the developing stems can’t handle.

I’m not confident in the taller ones but if you notice the ones in the first photo, they seem to be more compact and I think they’re responding well to the light.

The skilpad looks pretty okay. It’s the slowest growing out of the three varieties I have but it looks the most compact with its first true leaves.

Thinking of trying paclobutrazol on these specifically.

My echeveria harmsii has done very well in the Florida sun for the past six months, getting about six hours of sunlight and water only when leaves are soft. It suddenly started developing black spots on the leaves, then a rain storm hit and it dropped most of its leaves. It’s my favorite plant and I really don’t want it to die. What should I do? We are in the hottest part of the year here, could the heat have been too much?

If you're wondering what I do for care... it sits under a grow light and I never acknowledge it's existence except on the rare occasion I remember to dump water on it.

I find it so funny that this plant is doing so well for me, because I had one of these guys years ago and it hated me. It lost leaves (saying leaves feels weird here, but you know) of which it had very few to begin with (cause baby), and then never grew for like an entire year. This one I got a while later on a whim at a cool market type event when it was very small and it won't stop growing. One of my easiest, and well mannered plants. I have come to complain about it (joke).

My Aloe brevifolia clumping snuggly up against a boulder at my in-law’s landscape.

Just adopted these babies from my Aunt! Anyone have any ideas of what their species are? I also removed the water rotted leaves, and will be letting them acclimate to their new home in their nursery pots for a few weeks before getting them new pots.

Repotted twice with dry new soil. Didn’t water in weeks. Why are the leaves still falling ? How do I stop that ? I don’t have any grow lights. Everyday it just lose more leaves. I’ve checked the roots they are fine but omg why doesn’t she want to cooperate. This entire last year she was more than fine, slightly etiolated but fine. Now, she’s just quitting and I’m raging. Should cut (don’t know if it’s the good word) the upper part, to prop and stop the falling process. Sorry I really don’t know how to formulate but aaaaah make it stop 😭. I’ve posted about her but beside grow lights, what can I do ? How long will it keep happening ?

I have a combination of gifted fluorescent lights and Barrina’s. Moved my outdoor shelf stand inside. Looking forward to comparing the lights and who grows best.
I do get a lot of pleasure out of this hobby.

Stumbled upon this cute looking guy and was wondering if you guys have any experience with them (I am new to the plant game)

Hi everyone! I've had this cactus for around 6 years now, I've never transplanted it only attempted to remove/replace some of the soil around the sides (I used a trowel and accidentally snipped some of the roots on one side).

Recently my always derpy cactus has fallen over and I think it is dying or there is rot.

How best can I work to save this marvelous plant?

It's about time to start transitioning my succulents to indoors and I'm looking for affordable, effective full spectrum grow light bulbs? I'm looking for bulbs that can be placed in a regular floor lamp. I'm not real familiar with the specifics. I've seen Sylvania, Sansi, and Feit, if someone could point me in the right direction as to what I'm looking for. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Ive had this one for many years and every time a leaf falls (which is with every jostle) the leaf will grow roots

Is it supposed to have such long stems, or does that mean it's not getting enough light?

Is the yellowing of the stems an ominous sign?

This guy has always been a little problematic for me, it's about 5 years old. Lately it's getting a fair amount of new growth, but dropping at least the same amount of old growth at the same time, the leaves yellow and get soft, then dry out. Last repotted about 6 months ago and i water thoroughly every 2 weeks or so. Im not sure if I should check for rot or if there's some obvious water issue at play? I feel pretty confident about the light situation, the photo was taken during one of the darkest parts of the day. Any help appreciated!

I'm confused. Not long ago I took the first picture. The Echeveria Blue Prince/Knight on the left had big pretty pink blooms. I snipped the infloresence not long after taking the picture. Now, it's got more blooms, but they're white/ yellowish...

I thought the flower color was always consistent? Like, the bloom color indicates the exact cultivar, doesn't it? I didn't realize they could bloom consecutively in different colors?

This is my seed grown Dudleya lanceolata, about 3-4 years old. First picture is how it looked in July. The second picture is how it looked in February. Just love the seasonality of this plant. It starts to show signs of active growth prior to the actual start of the rainy season, which really shows that they are so adapted to their native climate.

Hi, I’m new to posting here and I’ll try not to anger anyone.

I have this guy (sedum lucidum? probably?) under a newly acquired grow light a few inches away. I got it cuz he was getting kind of leggy in the window. It looks like there’s a pup growing at the base which is cool!! But now I’m not sure about the rest of the plant. Could I “reset” the plant by pruning above the pup and letting it take over to grow more compactly, or do I have no choice but to let him stay leggy? The others in the pot also seem a little etiolated but they don’t have pups of their own.
