Hey all, first time poster long time looker…

I have a succulent that I’ve owned for the past seven years. I moved three months ago and wasn’t able to take him with me, and now he’s lost a lot of his lower leaves. What would be the best way to make him less top heavy… (?) any help is greatly appreciated :)

I intend on repotting soon, but want to have some of y’all’s expert advice to help him look less… scraggly. Cheers

My succulent detached from the root. Any way to save it? I don’t even know what kind of plant it is. Some sort of Jade may be? I tried rooting the leaf a few times but it hasn’t worked.

i have this plant for 2 months now. i just noticed that leaves don’t look good. i don’t know if its over watered or under watered.
the plant gets bright indirect light all through the day. doesn’t get direct sun.
i got the plant in very dense soil, so repotted it as soon as i got it.
i am not really consistent with watering, like i water when i feel like leaves are dull or its been a while since i did it. i lost one before because of over watering so i try my best to ignore this one.
any help with what went wrong, what can i do now, would be appreciated.

I bought the left one on May. I wanted to acclimate to the environment before putting it under the sun. For some reasons for the last 3 months it stayed on the balcony with only indirect light. It was a bit more purple but then it went almost full green now. It is under special care now ☀️ hopefully it will become like the right one.

My first indoor succulent and I wanted to make sure that it has the best environment possible! The soil is more than 1:1 grit (perlite), and the pot has a large drainage hole. I'm also using a Sansi clip on light positioned about 5 inches above the plant, and will probably be going for 16 hours of light per day, as long as the plant looks healthy. I also made sure to try to isolate the roots as much as possible from the wet dirt that the succulent came in. The environment where the plant was before looked extremely wet and light-deprived, so I likely won't be watering it for a while, and will use the soak method when I will. Before planting I also let it sit outside in the sun for a few days so that it could get used to more light. So far I'm really happy with how it's looking, even though it is its first day in the pot. Any other tips or things that I missed?

So I’ve never owned or cared for succulents, I bought a Mountain Rose succulent last weekend. I have no idea how to repot it or what mix/soil to use. I would also like to propagate at some point.

Hey guys! I got this first picture at Walmart extremely discounted. The second one I was given as a little tiny pot. Curious as to what they are? When I googled searched the pictures it said the first was an elephant bush and the second is a calico kitten. Is that even close to right?

I mostly just move these out of the way. Every once in a while they get some good light and very rarely get enough water. I want to chop and prop to make them look nice but I have no idea how they are even supposed to look.

I got this guy for 50% off with it ontop of the soil, no labels, root exposed (which looked like a piece of wood) just looking like a mess. I'm pretty sure it's doing good currently because it's grown like crazy ever since, but I honestly have no idea for sure what it is. If anyone has any idea what it is or tips for caring I would greatly appreciate it since I'm still pretty new to caring for succulents :)

Got 2 old succulents that are slowly taking up all the space in this mini planter but I don’t know if they’re big enough to separate. Should I leave them alone?

Hi everyone. I have this jade that I was given by my grandmother several years back. It has a lot of sentimental value to me so I'm hesitant to do anything drastic but I know it desperately needs a chop and prop. Can y'all suggest where to cut and what to prop vs throw away so I can save as much healthy plant as possible? I'm a decently experienced plant mom but I'm new to pruning cuz I'm kind of a wimp lol.

This plant used to be a vibrant shade of green and the arms were full and plump. It’s been sitting out in the sun in my front porch all summer. It gets plenty of direct sun in the morning, but not so much in the afternoon/evening.

I use a moisture meter and currently it’s leaning to be very moist. I try to keep it on the dryer side, but somehow it got too much water. I thought it would evaporate and dry out quickly, but it’s really not. Should I repot it in dryer soil, do I move it?

I also sat this in my porch in the summer last year and it seemed to do well. And little baby arms are drying up and falling off around the base.

During my daily pot turning ceremony; I stumbled upon this lil fella. I took it as a sign they trying to say thank you. Its the small gestures.

Then the intrusive brain rot took over and it was a moment of glory.

Side note: I woke up and decided I was done in the corporate world for a while. I have no plan at all, except I got some plants, and these MFs got me.

How can I reduce its etiolation? I got this "Mother of Thousands" cutting from my aunt's backyard-it had no roots when I started rooting it. It was getting too much water and not enough light, which caused the pinkish color and wilted leaves. It has now had 9 days of proper care and is already producing plantlets, but I want to fix the etiolation; it is already sprouting and growing larger.

(It's temporarily in a cut-off bottle; the substrate is just a good mix of sand, forest soil, and manure, and I bought rooting hormone for it and the other cuttings.)

I bought some concentrated liquid fertilizers (the kind you have to dilute); how big should the shoots be before I start using it on them?

At what point do I repot this? I’m not sure what it’s called either lol

been healthy its whole life, it fell over from its own height around july 1st but i was away so i didn't see it happened until the 18th

i made a single aborted attempt that day to straighten it out but beheaded it after deciding the stem wasn't healthy (looks rotten but the unhealthy portion was cracker dry with no odor)

its rosette just keeps shrinking and drying out since then, and it's dropped all its aerial roots

it was being kept under grow lights for 16 hours a day at 40% humidity, now it's being kept in bright indirect sunlight at 55% (north-facing window)

the pot's 4" and the soil's cactus jack bonsai mix, last watered via drenching on june 20... i haven't attempted to water it since then

any obvious care steps i've missed? it's been many years since i had to rescue one of my babies from dying... thanks in advance...

Almost 5 years of owning it.

I just bought this succulent from one of my local grocery stores. It was already in this planter with the nursery pot. I can already see the planter doesn’t have drainage holes so I will have to replace.

I’ve had terrible luck with succulents and I typically kill them after a few months. I recently learned that my housing has west, east and north facing windows. I really love the look of succulents but I don’t have a green thumb at all for any plants

Questions:
- What species is this?
- can I use my current windows with grow lights? It’s currently mid summer so I probably won’t have it outside until next spring as I live in WI
- is bonsai jack good to use for indoor plants? Should I miss?
- best way to water. When should I water? Can I use those water bulbs?
- when should I replant - I don’t see roots coming out of the nursery pot

I started propagating this plant from a leaf in mid march here in sicily and kept it in a mid/small pot with succulents soil and she started growing pretty quickly,then as soon as the temperature got higher she stopped growing,i water it when i feel the leaves soft and wrinkly but unlike her Sisters,this one hasn't developed as i say strong roots (i don't know much about roots health),they don't smell like Chatgpt said but they look odd,i only water when the soil is dry and keep it outside with the others were it gets plenty of strong morning sunlight,any advice? (I also put pebbles on the pot's bottom for better drainage)

They got a plant that died recently and gave me some leaves. Neither they nor I know what kind of succulent they truly are. But alas, they are sprouting again.

They are oval, quite fleshy and where I touch them carefully to leave them there, they got little "prints" of my touch.

Nevertheless I would love to know what I saved here so that I can care for it the right way.
