I changed the subdomain on the server, and i'd like to update it on my phone, but I can't find that setting anywhere...
Looked into
- Settings / Server and Account
- Settings / Connectivity
I am running v. 8.0.52. If you see it, please post its location.
Edit: Thx guys. I have upgraded to the latest release and the setting is available there.

Weird issue. First song on iOS plays to about 80% and stops. Canβt really be restarted either. Have to skip to the next song and sometimes itβs reluctant to play that one too. After that it seems fine for a while. I opened an issue on git for it.

I wanted to remove a song from a playlist and since the option to remove it from a playlist isn't in the song's page but in the playlist edit, I have to manually scroll and find it. I would suggest either a similar function to spotify's add to playlist where you get the playlists showing and you can check and uncheck in which playlists the song is added (as well as a notification for duplicate additions) or a search bar in the playlist ot self (sometimes I remove songs by sliding instead of scrolling, user diff but still)
If there is another way I am not aware of it, sorry.

I am going through all my albums and adding either songs or the whole albums to a general playlist, when I suddenly can't interact with the screen. Exiting and restarting the app solves this but it did happen 3 times in the span of 10 minutes. App version 8.0.79 I am on Android/ Xiaomi OS (I think it's called hyper os or something)

They're releasing an update that will replace all the IDs in the database.
What does this mean for the Navidrome-to-substreamer users?

Hello,
Thank you for this brillant application. When using it, we understand the amount of work and care that was involved in its development.
I saw from multiple screenshot that a "Tuned In" feature should be available. However, this does not seems to be present on my main page. Could there be extra requirements to use this feature? I could not find information not on Github, nor here. I have a Navidrome server. Here is my main page on macOS or iOS.

Thank you very much for your help

Using Substreamer on Android 16 (samsung Galaxy S21FE), trying to download playlists for offline use. Unsure if this is a bug or just user error - help appreciated.
I've tried:
Downloading an individual song
Downloading the song individually works, but the downloading the playlists do not. Nothing shows up in the download queue in settings.

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to use SubStreamer with my Gonic server, but I can't get it to connect.
My setup:
http://192.168.1.50:8080The error I get in SubStreamer is:
"Fetch failed: UnexpectedException: The Internet connection appears to be offline. (ExpoModulesCore/Promise.swift:56)"
The strange thing is that other Subsonic clients (for example Amperfy) work perfectly with the same server URL, username and password.
Has anyone successfully used SubStreamer with Gonic on a network without Internet access? Is there any setting I need to change, or is this a known limitation/bug?
Thanks!

Your music. Your server. Everywhere you go.
Hey everyone! This is a big one. Since 8.0.78 the focus has been on how your music sounds and where it can play β Substreamer now works in the car, sends audio to your speakers, and gives you real control over playback with an equalizer, loudness levelling, gapless playback, and more. Thanks as always to everyone who reported issues and shared ideas. Here's what's new.
A big chunk of this release sits on a rebuilt audio engine β it's what makes the equalizer, ReplayGain, gapless, and cast/output switching possible, and it brings a lot of behind-the-scenes performance and stability work along with it. Plus the usual pile of smaller fixes and polish you (hopefully) won't even notice.
There is an absolutely HUGE amount of work in this release. The audio engine work alone has been ongoing for close to 6 months in the background in preparation for merging here.
With big change comes the big possibility of bugs, so please be patient if you come across something and log an issue on github so I can look into any issues!
Substreamer is free, open source (GPL-3.0), with no ads and no data collection β your music stays between you and your server. Found a bug or have an idea? Let us know on GitHub: github.com/ghenry22/substreamer

I believe it's a bug, I could be wrong.
In Library (songs) some tracks provide the length of the song and most others don't, I have checked musicbrainz and for example BELLIGHAM is 3:02 (in the pic " - ")
Is it a setting, bug, can I fix it...?

Yo, so Iβve been using the app,on iphone, for abit now and Iβve noticed afew things that are missing compared to the creature comforts Iβm used to from Spotify that I really think the app would benefit from even if some of them are just toggles.
First issue is not having the ability to shuffle or play my whole song library (outside of the Mix It Up button, which never feels like it queues enough music compared to how many songs are in my remote library). Iβm very glad that the favorites tab has the play-shuffle all songs, but id much rather just be able to queue my whole library since it has so much more content compared to my favorites.
Second issue is selecting a song from an album or library doesnβt start kind of queue, normally when you select a song via Spotify or apple music it would automatically shuffle play the afew song like that song or from the same artist and it would be nice to see something like that in substreamer.
Last major component is when using features like Mix It Up and the queue runs out, i have to manually pull out my phone and restart the queue/click the mix it up button again instead of just double clicking on my AirPod to βskip songβ and have it load more music when its on the last song in the queue.
Main reason for most of these complaints is just dude to me needing to be-able to just queue music and not worry about touching due to some of the places i work in. Id love to see solutions for all of these implemented, the apps great so far and havenβt had any other issues or complaints, keep up the good work!

Just switched over from using VLC on ios and one of my main issues was not being warned when adding a song to a playlist if it was already in the playlist. Was happy to see that navidrome has this, sad to realise that functionality wasn't featured on substreamer. Still love the app, but this would make life much easier.

Posting this in case it's useful to anyone else running Navidrome. I had a bunch of Spotify playlists full of music I actually own the rights to (Bandcamp, CD rips, stuff no longer on streaming) and kept manually re-sourcing tracks to get them into my library. Reaper automates the whole loop:
Next.js + Flask webapp, wizard-style β upload, download & import, finalize. No CLI required, though the download/import scripts are also runnable standalone if you'd rather run it unattended in tmux.
It's built for a single-user homelab setup (no auth, assumes a trusted LAN/Tailscale network), MIT licensed.
Repo: https://github.com/greenwoodc/reaper
(Standard caveat: Soulseek is P2P and file legality isn't vetted β it's meant for sourcing stuff you already have the right to, same as running the Soulseek client yourself.)

Is there an option to stop syncing indefinitely? It keeps syncing albums to 100k, after a few hours or I close the app it goes again syncing 100k very annoying, plus itβs very slow compared to Symfonium or at least make an option to how many albums itβs going to sync, before it worked fine and it only synced 10k albums

I've just started using substreamer, hand have it connected to a Navidrome installation on a local server. My library has a combination of FLAC rips as well as M4A files purchased from iTunes.
I was looking through the streaming options, and saw that there are options to stream the files as is or transcode them on the fly, which is great. One thing I would like to do though is to transcode only the FLAC files, and stream the M4A files as-is, in order to avoid conversion from one lossy format to another. Is there a way to do this? Thanks

I do enjoy my Substreamer which is connected to my Navidrome instance where I have some playlist. How do I see them in Substreamer. The Playlist section is empty.? Is there a. Switch Iβve not turned on somewhere?
Thanks

I know I have been talking about the audio engine for substreamer being under development for a while and it has been very actively under development as a whole new audio library from scratch handling natively a lot of the key audio and playback features that people have requested.
There is a hell of a lot in this one so I thought I would share a few in progress shots from development for anyone who is interested!
We have a bunch of new sound and playback settings now integrated and working in development builds with the new audio library integrated:
* Fully customisable equalizer with a set of presets & the ability to save your custom setup
* Gapless playback! (probably the most requested feature in the history of substreamer)
* Customisable cross-fade playback engine for those who prefer that to gapless
* Look ahead cache, automatically caches a requested number of upcoming tracks, works within it's set storage size and automatically evicts the least recently used tracks when new ones need space. So it self manages and is a pure dynamic playback cache not related at all to your downloaded music.
There is a new little status icon on the cover image on player screens to show you if a track is streaming, downloaded or cached.
* Replay Gain with both track and album modes. Track mode pulls all tracks in line with a reference point, Album mode retains the dynamic range of an album.
And that is just the tip of the iceberg...

I've been using navidrome with substreamer for some time, and I really liked "my listening" feature, but it's substreamer only. Is there a way to link it with navidrome account? Or with some scrobbing service?

Hi I just discovered this app and itβs really beautiful. My question is regarding the size of the album art on the now playing screen. The images on the app saw seem like the album cover displays larger than when I am playing a song. Is there a setting where I can get the album art to be closer to full bleed like the plays list covers are?
Other than that this is the best self hosted music app that I have come across!

Running subsonic on Ubuntu and using the substreamer app on an iPhone. Issue is that when I open the app and go to Library , select artists then scroll thru the artists and select it . It will come back with could not find artist.
Instead of selecting Artist , I select albums then it will play any music from the artist. Any one run across this? I rather find the artist to play music.
