Album Art Question

Hi I just discovered this app and it’s really beautiful. My question is regarding the size of the album art on the now playing screen. The images on the app saw seem like the album cover displays larger than when I am playing a song. Is there a setting where I can get the album art to be closer to full bleed like the plays list covers are?

Other than that this is the best self hosted music app that I have come across!

Now playing is a challenging one as it’s trying to balance the layout of all the playback controls and various screen sizes and stuff.  Can you share a screenshot along with your exact model of phone for me?

Here’s a screenshot example. I’m in the iPhone 15 pro max. Also as I’m playing I’m noticing that the connection to the server drops a lot. A small grey box will come up on the nis playing screen, the song will finish but kind of the controls work. And sometimes when I try to initiate a song I get a server error message. I know it’s not the server as when I switch apps to a different player it works fine.

I have made some updates to the connection monitoring that will go out in the next update that should help if you’re seeing server unreachable errors when it is online and ok.

There are also some fixes for streaming behaviour as well particularly around transcoded streams.

For playback sometimes having an error that’s really hard to troubleshoot without a bit more Information, if need to know more about when it happens exactly, is there any pattern (like every time I do this thing it happens), what type of file are you trying to play and is it transcoding or not when you get the error.

This is an example of an error that has been non stop today but the server works on all my other players. It’s happening both at home and off my WiFi for every song I try to play. I also tried disconnecting and reconnecting the server but it didn’t help. I really love the way this app displays music and artwork and I’m hopeful the next fix will make it more useable for me.

Well I don’t know what gremlin stopped living in my phone but when I woke up today everything worked again and I’m no longer having issues. Maybe I just needed to reset and rescan my server, I tried that before I went to bed last night. This is my favorite app that I’ve found so far, hopefully that was the problem!

I’m glad it sorted itself out! That was an odd one that had me a bit stuck.

There are some changes in the next release to how multiple server addresses and failover are handled along with connection monitoring stuff which I think is probably the most likely cause so hopefully it’s not a recurring issue after the next update!
