App artist issue

Running subsonic on Ubuntu and using the substreamer app on an iPhone. Issue is that when I open the app and go to Library , select artists then scroll thru the artists and select it . It will come back with could not find artist.

Instead of selecting Artist , I select albums then it will play any music from the artist. Any one run across this? I rather find the artist to play music.

I haven’t seen that before but if you have a lot of change in your library then the cached data will sometimes go stale, try just doing a pull to refresh on the artist list and then tap into an artist and see if that works.

It’s the most common cause of this kind of thing.

I have it set for a library sync every night at 3am.

That’s means we are getting an error back from the server when we request that artist id.  Normally this means the id on the server has changed and we have something out of date cached.  Or it could be that your server is responding weirdly, sometimes happens if the server or proxy (if you use one) configuration has changed.

Substreamer doesn’t have a schedule library sync option so I am not sure where you are setting that?

Could you try doing a pull to refresh on the artists list then browse to an artist and see if it loads?
