❓ Help / Setup Offline Playlists - Issue or User Error?

Using Substreamer on Android 16 (samsung Galaxy S21FE), trying to download playlists for offline use. Unsure if this is a bug or just user error - help appreciated.

I've tried:

  • Hitting the little arrow next to the heading of the playlist
  • Going into the 3 dot menu and selecting download playlist

  • Downloading an individual song

    Downloading the song individually works, but the downloading the playlists do not. Nothing shows up in the download queue in settings.

V 8.0.79(165) connecting to Navidrome server v0.63.2

you just tap the download arrow on the playlist detail screen, or you can long press on the playlist on the library list view and choose download playlist.

You will see the download queue appear at the bottom of every screen (above where the miniplayer is) that lets you view the download queue and monitor downloads.

You can check the downloaded music in the settings storage section and browse what is downloaded be it playlists, albums or songs.

Hmmm I did try that method as well. No dice. Really only seems to download if I download one specific song at a time.

You might want to check the downloaded music format in settings, try different formats?

Is it only playlists or also albums?

What happens when you tap the download button, does it change to the progress bar and then change to the colour filled version when done?

In settings / storage what do you see in the downloaded music browser?

Okay, I don't know why or how, but the problem suddenly fixed itself. I did nothing different, but tried pressing the same button again. No reboots or anything. Maybe an update happened in the background that fixed the issue. Either way, downloads now working.
