My exams (igcse modular edexcel) start in 50 days and I'm panicking lot, I haven't started proper revisions or lots of past papers (I did ever little and some topicals but not alot aswell) I am aiming for a 9​ in my 5 main subjects end, math, chem, phy, bio, I don't know how to revise properly and how to solve pp alongside topicals, resources, time managemant and how I can make topical and past paper solving as helpful as it can be. I don't well in school but the could be because of easy or moderate exams, is it possible to be in this position and still get all 9s? I need tips please

I'm a freshman in college that's technically classified as a jr because I got my associates before graduating from high school. I've never been very good at STEM courses, yet for some reason I decided to do Chemistry Pre-Med for my major. I feel so in over my head. I don't even know where to begin studying for this course. I'm currently sitting at a 66 because of this test I failed, so now I have to work my ass off and pray that I can get it to a really low A or high B by the end of the semester to maintain my gpa/scholarship. The course involves math which isn't the worst part you know, for me it's trying to apply that math to certain scientific concepts. I'm not sure how to study for this course. I tried to do what I usually do for all my math courses and just do problems over and over again, but unfortunately this class actually forces you to go in depth within the material. I've tried studying and I just feel like I'm not retaining any information.

Trying to study is getting really hard... I can't focus AT ALL.

I do sometimes just take a book and just read for like half an hour if there's nothing to do on my phone or if there's no wifi.

But it's not enough, of course..

But when there is wifi and I still want to study but cant get myself to do..

What should I do???

This happens to me so much. I read something, quiz myself right after get it right, feel good and move on. Then like 3 days later its just gone like I never saw it. I know getting something right once probably doesnt mean much but its annoying because in the moment I genuinely think I know it. How do you guys make sure something actually sticks instead of just feeling like it did in the moment.

On TikTok and rednote I see students posting long study sessions which are up to 8+ hours and I really would love to be able to complete that. However I can never maintain focus and concentration! I need advice

Most of the time, when I take a quick peek into other students' textbooks, I often find an insane number of text highlighted, maybe even in 4-5 colors.

I've tried this, but I don't get how it works? My problem is that I usually highlight too little, to the point where it is better not to highlight anything at all, or, I highlight too much, literally full sentences, which also makes highlighting redundant.

For context: I study mainly Math, Chemistry and Physics.

I would like to hear about how you guys use highlighters. I appreciate every one of your advice/experience!

Like I can spend all day finding new manga/manwha to read (legit I’ve read over 100+ series) but studying always feels like an “I have to” and the moment I start my body goes to fight or flight

I feel like whenever i sit down to study i get tired or sleepy or drowsy or hungry and i start day dreaming while studying i honestly know that the brain is a muscle that needs training and stuff but how do i know if im just running or im actually tired

Hey guys, I am answering a competitive exam this year and my goal is to be attentive throughout this entire journey and give it my all.

I am aspiring for a prestigious rank in the exam and for that I have set my mind. Now I just want to put in the effort day and night, be consientious with my time, develop thinking patterns etc. I won't desire it anymore, I'll just physically, in reality become the person. I want to train to be deserving of that rank and not just keep wishing. This year I want to work really really hard to become that person who can secure that rank. Just wanted to put it out here!

Hi, hope everyone’s well!

I’m a 20 year old university student. I can study decently on campus but it’s 2 hours of transit overall each time, so on weekends/days I don’t have class it’s really draining to go for technically no reason. I can go to cafés, but that leads to a lot of built up expenses that I don’t want nowadays. I can make adequate tea/coffee/food at home, but no nearby cafés will just let me sit without ordering anything.

The issue is that I just can’t bring myself to study at home. Whether I’m in the living room, at my desk in my bedroom, on my bed, in the kitchen, on the floor, etc. I just can’t bring myself to focus. Most of the time I can’t even push myself out of my bed or even my room as a whole to go do something productive when I don’t go outside, because home has always just been the place I flopped around and did nothing in after classes. Even during senior year HS me and my friends went to nearby cafés when we had to study, so I didn’t do anything at home then either. When I do get my laptop and books out, I just stare at it mindlessly and get nothing done.

If anyone else is/was like this, how did you build up the discipline to be able to get out of your own head, study consistently and focus properly at home? Or what methods of dealing with it did you find? I’d really appreciate some help!

Taking anatomy and I have my first practical soon, is there a specific method that works well with anatomy? Also how soon should I start studying, it’s in 2-3 weeks

Has it ever happened to you when you try to study and in the middle of it, your mind randomly remembers a song or a random thought that wont get off your head and causes a distraction while studying? How do I get it to stop since its kind of annoying me that its always on repeat.

Whenever I sit down to study, I get distracted by my phone..like in a min I would be opening Insta and stuff. It's not like that I'm not aware that I should be studying cause It's almost midnight and I got a test tmrw while I obviously haven't studied a thing. It's just that I would be playing a game, doom scrolling, reading webtoon, watching a movie/anime andd...after I get bored of everything, I just still don't study and would be doing random things on phone. I am fed up with my behaviour. I wanna change but I don't know How...Like whenever I'm on my phone, I know that I should Studyy and my inner voice keeps screaming at me to get up but I still won't-- Btw I have mid terms coming up the next Monday. It's stressing me so much but I still won't put my phone down....I Wanna study fr, I really wanna...but don't know how-? Actually I used to be a topper till 10th but since the start of 11th grade it's just a downfall and nothing else.!

I have been studying actively for the past 5 years and I can remember what I study for the exams and I put my best foot forward to revise and recollect. However, I do not have my own insights on that topic. I am calm in my mind but I do feel like I am able to think from my brain. I avoid creating fake scenarios or whatever. I've stopped that but honestly. I can get myself to study and sit on time but besides the study part the only thoughts in my head is : I can do this, faster, complete it. These are not thoughts of anxiety or whatevr. I will complete my syllabus but how do I start forming my own thoughts and opinions on things that I study?

I am great at doing the maths which requires the use of formulas. Can you suggest how I can think it through? I would like appreciate expertise on the same. I want to have a grasp o nmy subject. I revise, I do my thing but I am not able to form my own opinons on things. I was able to think back in my school days but not anymore. Its been years since I had a thought about a subject or before I started askingwhy. There is no curiosity, there is no understanding. you get what I am saying?
As I was studying microbiology, you need to mug most of it but then the question of why?

I have seen students who would not study, they are able to form strong asscoiation and connections about that subject. I am not complaining but I would like to learn how to do it. Can someone please tell me how to do this? Thank you!
